About Mary Lanning Healthcare

Mary Lanning Healthcare is a facility in the small town of Hastings, Nebraska, that provides healthcare services. Individuals who are struggling with addiction can receive psychiatric treatment to help with their recovery. The facility accepts Medicard, Medicare and other commercial insurance options.

Psychiatric Medication to Support Addiction Recovery

Psychiatric medications can be effective for treating mental health conditions that may be contributing to your addiction. Your psychiatrist may prescribe antidepressants or mood stabilizers to help with mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety.

They will conduct an evaluation to decide on the medication and the dosage that will be best for your needs. With relief from your symptoms, you can be less likely to relapse.

Helpful Therapeutic Approaches in Counseling

Along with medication, psychiatrists can use talk therapy to address both your mental health and substance use disorder. Some therapeutic approaches that may be used in your treatment sessions include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and motivational interviewing.

CBT and DBT will teach you methods for coping with your relapse triggers. Some coping mechanisms you’ll learn may include progress muscle relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing and mindfulness. Your psychiatrist will also focus on understanding the underlying issues that are contributing to your substance use disorder.

Went to ER and they were slammed. I mean slammed with people. The security guard went to another room to get several more chairs for people. It was late at night in the middle of the week. Did I have a long wait, ya but I wasn t dying just pulled a hamstring and needed to make sure I didn t break my leg at the same time. Other people who got there were not as fortunate. Staff still did their best and I did get to see a nurse in the triage multiple times and they worked to get my stuff done. Longest wait was for the final checkup from the doctor. They gave me a shot for pain quickly and got my X-ray taken care of. I was up and walking before I left so that was good.

My daughter had a day surgery and I was so impressed with the care that she received! From the minute we walked in the door we got VIP treatment. No detail was overlooked in her care. Just as impressive was their attention to my comfort while I waited. This is a first rate facility with top tier medical professionals. If you have a choice, choose Mary Lanning.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

heart-hands iconIntervention Services

When loved ones stage a drug intervention in Nebraska, the goal is not to gang up on the individual and make them feel attacked. The aim is to make them feel cared for and to present a solid plan for getting them the treatment they need. This process often includes intervention services. These professionals can provide support for planning and carrying out the intervention and guidance for appropriate treatment for the individual and family members.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

Within trauma therapy, you're able to work through the memories of a traumatic event within a safe and supportive environment. Your therapist will guide you to develop healthy coping mechanisms that reduce the emotional impact of the trauma and improve your overall well being.

Couples therapy in Nebraska often focuses on one specific matter of concern. It is usually short term, with the goal of addressing the main issue and learning how to manage it. The focus might be addiction, finances, children, or any other challenge that is putting stress on the relationship.

Signs that you have become dependent on nicotine include smoking more than one pack a day, smoking within five minutes of waking up, and smoking to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Fortunately, nicotine replacement therapy in Nebraska can help you break this dependence and work toward a nicotine free lifestyle.

Therapists in Nebraska offer family therapy to help facilitate discussions about how addiction is a disease and can affect the entire family. This approach fosters empathy between family members and helps to reduce blame. This collective effort supports recovery and reduces negative behaviors within the family unit.

They care more about the paychecks than the welfare of the patients, the emergency room is a real shame, the waiting times are eternal, they forced me to spend hours suffering pain without any medical attention.

Extremely unimpressed with the service given today by Joshua Sloan. Unprofessional and rude. I was having a problem with my leg after A "uncomfortable medical episode" Joshua has the nerve to say "I just watched you use it" I told him I couldn't use it and he proceeds to tell me "I can leave" I left without a bandage on my arm (one was offered and agreed to, but never put on.) An extremely eye opening and Unprofessional event. Baffled that he would talk to me...a client like that, I grab my paper work and leave struggling to walk on my leg. (No help. NO ANYTHING) I love the doctors that are passionate about their work not just their for a paycheck. This being said it's clear and evident "passion" was never in his thoughts when becoming A Doctor. It deeply saddened me to see our ONLY local hospital not aware of this type of behavior.

Definitely do not recommend if I could give a no star I would. Wish we had a hospital that actually cared about their patients no matter what their diagnosis is.

Very much don't care for their surgery procedures not letting you be with your spouse during recovery. Presurgical nurses were great. Surgery went well, he did a great job. -I don't agree with asking permission (of an out of consciousness patient) for additional student/staff to be in the room while being indecently exposed. Those questions should take place while they are fully aware of what is going on and able to make a decision they would normally make. . -staff took good care after this also.

My baby was treated here and for the 3 days we were admitted we received amazing care from all the staff radiology, respiratory and lab. Nurses Taylor, Ariel, Sierra, Joy and Amber were all so attentive. Thank you Dr Leonard for taking such care with my baby.

I’ve never been price gouged at a hospital like I have at this one. Charged me roughly $7,000 for an ER visit that consisted of 2 bags of IV fluid, labs, IV Zofran, and IV Benadryl. Absolutely ridiculous. That should be $1,500 max.
