About Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center

In Sacramento, California, known as the City of Trees, the Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides addiction treatment for adults recovering from opioid use disorders (OUD). Offering medication assisted treatment (MAT) and counseling services they help adults aged 18 and older achieve long term recovery and improved health. Sacramento has a unique environment to support recovery with many community resources and advocacy groups playing a vital role in reducing stigma. CTC’s mission is to help make the community a healthier place, much like the city’s trees help keep the environment healthy.
Getting started with treatment is easier than you might think. You can be admitted to the program the same day you reach out. They accept most insurance plans, including MediCal, Medicare and Veterans Affairs. They also have self pay options.
When you start treatment here the first thing you’ll do is meet with a healthcare provider who will work with you to figure out the best medication for your needs. You might be prescribed methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine or naltrexone. At first you’ll visit every day to get your medication, but over time you may qualify for take home doses.
There are many sides to addiction, including physical and emotional. Along with medication you’ll have counseling. MAT helps ease withdrawal symptoms and provides the clarity needed to focus on your recovery. Through individual and group counseling you’ll have the chance to explore the underlying causes of your addiction, making it easier to build a future free from opioids.
Opioid use disorder in seniors is often overlooked, leaving many older adults without the care they need. Unlike some treatment programs that don’t account for the unique challenges seniors face, here they provide safe, evidence based care specifically designed to support this age group. With Medicare now covering OUD treatment under the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, seniors can access outpatient services designed just for them.

Based on client feedback Sacramento Comprehensive Treatment Center offers quick, compassionate care. While some have faced challenges with Medicare billing, clients praise the center’s same day intake and friendly staff.

There s a new nurse here and she has been rude from her very first day. You can tell she hates her job. I prolonged putting this on here because everyone has bad days but her everyday is a bad day. She is the one with long braids. The newest nurse. People come here to get help not deal with someone who treats people like this especially people who want to get clean. Until she resigns I ll be helping people transfer somewhere else that feel the same which is majority of the people that come!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
When addicted, quitting your drug of choice suddenly can be dangerous. That's why experts agree a medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive substances from the body. Usually done in an inpatient setting, your vitals signs and overall well being are consistently monitored and rechecked in order to keep you safe and ensure the detox is successful.

From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
