About Saving Grace Women’s Home

Saving Grace Women’s Home is a nonprofit, recovery organization for women dealing with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues. The organization provides a Christian based recovery program that lasts for up to 12 months. There are multiple locations, including the facility in Houston, Texas. The women’s recovery home is conveniently located near I-610.

This nonprofit program relies on donations and offers affordable pricing through minimal fees. They require a $1,000 nonrefundable fee to begin the program, and you must commit to 12-14 months to complete the program. There are some scholarship options available. Clients must be 18 years of age or turn 18 within a few months of enrolling in the program.

Homelike Residential Setting

The addiction recovery program is in a residential home with comfortable shared bedrooms and living spaces. The environment is peaceful and safe, and includes outdoor garden areas and green spaces for recreation and reflection.

The home has a communal dining area with an on site kitchen. There’s also a dedicated space or chapel for classes and worship, since there is a strong emphasis on Christianity as the core of the recovery program.

Work Study Program During Recovery

There is a work study program so individuals can learn new skills, as well as the importance of a good attitude and teamwork. Individuals are given tasks, such as laundry, janitorial duties, kitchen cleanup, administrative tasks, and simple woodworking and maintenance projects. Residents are expected to fully partake during day hours and not be lying down throughout the day, even during rest periods.

The tasks give individuals responsibility for their living space, teach them the importance of serving others, and help them understand personal accountability. In addition to learning new skills, it gives clients a strong work ethic.

Many graduates of the program have mentioned the life changing nature of the experience through community support and faith. Clients are enthusiastic about the program and have mentioned their personal growth and renewed sense of purpose and hope.

It’s a fluke the “men’s recovery” is all the directors highschool friends they never went through the program the people in the pictures are paid to be there except for some of them like 3 of 4 girls and wen I left she said I had to wait 30 days to come back and then I told her what if I go to rehab in them 30 days waiting n she said well you can’t come back here to the Texas program you have to go to a different one which is out of state and on top of that they don’t want you to be on any medications but when I was told I’d have to go to another location I’d have to be stabilized on medication the place is a none and a lie I had was told by one of the people that supposedly stayed there that why should I be afraid of her if I was afraid of my drug addiction and she was making it as a joke which I thought was rude and the Director Chelsea said why would I let that bother me which I thought was weird, because why would you let someone make fun of my sobriety and I also heard the other girls that were supposedly staying there say they were ready to leave and get their check. The people don’t really stay there. They just post pictures and act like they do they fake the pictures on Facebook to make it seem like they’re actually staying there and went through the program or going through the program.

Just bought this wonderful decoration. It’s great to see the work saving Grace women’s home is doing. The ladies I talked to in Harker heights were nice. They told me about what SGWH does and I couldn’t have been happier to help out. Keep up the good work!

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Inpatient rehab programs are geared toward clients in early recovery. They also provide intensive support for clients in crisis and those at an increased relapse risk. Clients receive housing and meals while in inpatient care, allowing them to focus solely on their recovery. Most programs prioritize addiction counseling but may draw on various psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, RBT, trauma therapy, and motivational interviewing. Life skills training and holistic therapies are also common in inpatient care.

Treatments

Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes physically and psychologically dependent on alcohol. Attending a professional alcohol rehab in Texas can provide customized intervention methods to address the physical, mental, and relational challenges of addiction.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Programs

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

The right life skills training will help you build the skills you need for recovery. You'll learn how to solve problems, improve your social life, enhance your mental health, and make good decisions. This is a key component of drug rehab programs in Texas.

You will be amazed at how much God can change your life during the time at this program. It's not easy but so worth it... with rewards that are eternal. You will learn work ethic, how to function in society and serve others and most importantly experience freedom from addiction and a relationship with Jesus Christ. I have been immensely blessed through the strong and healthy relationships I have developed with others thanks to this program.
