"First of all, thank God for listening to my prayers and bringing me to this hospital where Dr. Miller, all the nurses, and the rest of the staff took care of me in an excellent manner. I will always be grateful to everyone, especially to Ashley, Anna, Gloria, Hannah, Amy, and Juliana. Thank you!"Emmanuel from Florida.

Need to shut this so called hospital down. Worthless ER. Take your camping gear with you and be prepared for a nite of neglect, blank stares and being completely ignored. One doctor in busy ER is ridiculous. If hospital management cannot pay to keep Dr's in ER maybe they should sell out to UNC.

Accepted Insurance

ECU Health Duplin Hospital works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Absolutely the worst hospital in Duplin county. Don't go here if you need anything, they refused to do anything to help my fiance. If I could leave a 0 review I would.

The staff from walking into the ER, the nurses and doctors gave great care to my husband and to his family. All care was given right away, all tests and lab work done, so that he didn’t have to spend the night, which made him very happy. I should add that it was very busy, with patients in the hallway. Nurses were helpful and kind. Doctor ordered tests needed and took the time to explain, and us gave follow up for further help.

Front desk receptionists need to undergo training. My brother came in with deep wounds and had vomit all over his face due looking at the wounds. There were 4-5 women in the front desk with an empty waiting room. I kindly asked if I could get a napkin to clean up his face. One told me she couldn’t give me a napkin cause “that’s the nurse job”. Only one lady had the common decency to hand me some napkins while the others just watched, judged and laughed while continuing their conversation. Thank you to the nurses who showed empathy however the emergency front desk needs to be replaced with people who practice common decency cause not cause “it’s the nurses job”.

You’re better off going somewhere else unless you are bleeding to death, it’ll be worth it. Respectfully this hospital can kiss my left cheek

My husband and I both were amazed at the care he received recently at this hospital. The doctors as well as all the staff were nothing but the best. We both felt he was getting the best most personable care of any hospital we have gone to ever before. They did not make him feel like he was just a number. They were very caring and compassionate. It was important for both of us to understand what he was going through and why and they did their best to take the time to explain. Even though they had to keep repeating they didn't show their frustration. Because of the hospital I will be changing to the ECU HEALTH PRIMARY CARE near the hospital.

They take hours to pass you when you come to the emergency room. All staff are incompetent. Go elsewhere if you need medical attention.
