I love Amy Howard. I first started seeing her when I was discharged from a psychiatric hospital due to being suicidal. From day one Amy was so patient with me. She always tells me that if I need to see her she will fit me into her schedule. She is aware of my medical conditions, and considers that when she prescribes my medicine. She is very serious about what she prescribes. I thank God for her.

I’m an infrequent user of this CBOC but my experience is much more positive than what some have written. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don’t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they’re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. I can't say the experience was great because two days ago, my brother was staring down the loaded barrel of stage 4 cancer and the time had arrived.
I can say that Wayne Memorial Emergency Department was a Class Act. My brother was transitioned as peacefully as you could ask for. The staff was top notch in caring and understanding when their hands were tied as far as what they could do.
We were not abandoned in a room with our lonely thoughts, they checked on us very frequently. We were not left in the dark, they communicated constantly what was to be expected each step of the way. We didn't feel like a number, they brought a hospitality cart to Trauma 3 so we could be with my brother the entire time. They were very caring, and allowed us to make decisions to let go at our own pace.
I would like to say Thank You to Natasha, Maria, Lexus, Billie G and Dr. Rose who were awesome and helped us get through this daunting milestone.

I recently moved to Edenton so I was transferred to the Greenville facility. So far I have been to the facility twice, which one was for a blood draw and the other was for a PCP visit. Both times have been wonderful experiences. The staff has been super helpful and professional so I couldn't ask for anymore.

Le Chris is by far the all time best mental health office in North Carolina. Every member working there is always so empathetic and compassionate and gentle with the patients. Jared is so good in psychiatric medication management. Lexi and Heather are so smart and gentle at the front desk. Stephanie the therapist is a very understanding miracle worker for a therapist. Paris and Laura are phenomenal and they are the elite tops in peer support services. Melissa is such a caring care manager and the rest of the entire staff are nothing short of professional. They don't just say that they care, they show it. They will do whatever they can in their powers to help each & everyone who is a patient here. I would recommend Le Chris over any other office in North Carolina. 10/10. Definitely A+ service all the way. They get the job done in such a short time. I absolutely adore my therapist Nicole. From the get go, she made me feel comfortable and heard. I would recommended her to anyone that needs a safe place to talk.
As for the other reviews about this place - I’ve heard the front desk workers on the phone and in office with patients often. They are kind, caring, and try their best. A lot of the patients are rude, demanding, and don’t take no for an answer. I understand that they sometimes need to be abrupt and firm to get their answer across. Be kind to them and they’ll go out of their way to help you.
