After reading some of the reviews I am blown away. I seen one where a lady claims they make you smoke cigarettes and you will be a chain smoker when you leave. Geez it's mind blowing. I was never forced to smoke at all. This place did nothing but save my life. Ed is a wealth of knowledge, my counselor Ashley is the best ever. Other staff that stood out was Sean, Lily, Crystal and Carmen. I came in addicted to Fentanyl, went through detox then on to PHP. There ofcourse were areas that could use improvement such as food and even bigger issue was we were let to run out of drink and coffee all day long in the rec area outside cafeteria which is all you have access to for the long ass days of classes. That is something else that needs work, you are expected to attend class from 8 am to 4:30 pm 7 days a week. That is way too much and too tiring for us older patients especially us with other health issues. You cannot go to your dorm from 7:30 am till 4:30 pm either. If they can't give a day off for rest then at least 1 early day, like a Sunday get out at noon or 1. All in all I am satisfied, I coined out on November 26, 2025 and I'm still clean. It is what you make of it period.

This place saved my life and I will forever be grateful to the staff for showing up for me and teaching me how to love myself and enjoy life. Cognitive Behavior Therapy was a game changer for me! The biggest tool in my toolbox however, has been The Alumni morning Zoom meeting and all the opportunities to give back that Kelly Mulrenin has gifted me and thousands of others. I absolutely love Wilmington Treatment Center! PLEASE get help if you are struggling with life in any way, anywhere you can. But come here if you have the opportunity.

This place saved my life. They have a great director and the staff listen and care. If you have Medicaid you can dose free and even get free rides. No one out there should be suffering hell on earth withdrawals as long as this place is open. But like always, grown adults cry like little children if they mess up and have to face the consequences. Such as getting your take home meds taken away and having to go everyday. If you decided to get high and then have a dirty screen that is on YOU. In this regard it's like a daycare Center for childish adults. If you do the program as you should you can get your life back.

I became a patient of crossroads back in 2018. At first I was problematic, not doing well but I also wasn’t doing anything that I was supposed to. Once I actually worked the program I began to excel. I was one of the few lucky ones who had the same counselor my entire time there. But thanks to her I am who I am today. And now I myself am a counselor at a methadone clinic! Methadone saves lives, and it definitely saved mine!

Yes I have been here since 2004 I have seen many changes in that time... About 3 and half years ago I transferred to Myrtle Beach treatment specialist .... I DONT RECOMMEND THAT ! I just transferred back here to Crossroads and they have changed so much for the BETTER. I'm actually 20 mgs lower then I was at Myrtle Beach treatment. IM NO LONGER SICK, AND NOT USING !!! Within a week of being back at crossroads my dose was starting to work again ... Everyday I was sick and dosing at Myrtle Beach treatment. AND I WAS AT 120.???? Here I'm at 100 and the medicine is actually WORKING... SO PLEASE BELIEVE ME , STAY AT C.O.H OR CROSSROADS... The medicine not only doesn't work at the other clinic ,but if you have blue cross you end up paying 120 a month .. Here it's only 30 a month... IM SO GLAD I GAVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE... The director is GREAT. The whole staff is great... I love my counselor here. They have updated their facility too... I give crossroads 💯.

Update (17 Dec 2024): I mistook this clinic for its sister clinic in Jacksonville, NC. They reached out to me promptly and are assisting me with getting switched over their clinic. MTF. (16 Dec 2024) Waited over a month, had 2 interviews/assessments, totaling 2.5 hours just to be told they can't treat me because of alcohol issues. The other problems are what's leading to alcohol issue. I don't understand. I was excited about finding a place that could actually help after 14 years of searching. Looks as though I still haven't found it.

My name is Leticia M. Kirk. I go by Letty I been going to Carolina Outreach for a long time on and off since I was a 18 years old. On and off because I have to get help for myself and and traveling all the time because of certain situations of my life....., My first Therapist’s name was Maria Rivera Known me for a very long time she referred me last year to Natasha Schauer to join the DBT group and also for individual therapy. I was scared of change but doing best I can ....I am now 33 years old and I just wanted to say thank to all and truly honor to say these two wonderful ladies Maria Rivera and Natasha Schauer and Lacey as a backup just everyone in general really has been so Patients with me when I was at crisis and very understanding not only did I save my own life but they made a difference of saving me in a way making a difference to understanding me just being there And believing me made a difference It Impacted me to think things threw before acting on bad decisions...., also the improvement on everything just in general just impressed me ...,, yes there was ups and downs for my situations but my therapist always found a way to work through them by communication not only hearing me out but listening to understand me!!!!! is a huge difference . Somethings are just out of our control but the communication being there is wonderful Even with this stay at home situation that’s going on right now on the virus thing reaching Out was truly amazing how Carolina outreach manage to help Not only me but others and taking the time to work all together taking small steps each day. I’m an infrequent user of this CBOC but my experience is much more positive than what some have written. From the moment Dr. Thomas arrived she has handled my issues expeditiously and correctly the first time. Her nurse returns calls the same day and is results oriented. I was here before CBOC came to town. Trust me, don’t knock a local VA facility that so many dedicated officials worked so hard to bring to us for our benefit. No, like the military, they’re not perfect but from my perspective they are dedicated professionals grinding through each and every day in the most bureaucratic agency of the US government. Give em a chance to help you, they will! Godspeed…
