Five men showed up on time, incredibly polite, respectful, and ready to work—and then proceeded to work their absolute butts off in nearly 100-degree heat. They carried all of my heavy furniture up two flights of stairs without complaining once. But what impacted me most wasn’t just the physical work they did. It was the attitude and character they brought with them. Moving is stressful under the best circumstances and doing it as a single mom while trying to get my kids and our lives settled into a new place felt overwhelming in the days leading up to this but having these guys show up and simply say, “We’ve got it,” meant more to me than they probably realize. Their kindness, work ethic, patience, and willingness to serve were such a beautiful reflection of what can happen when people are given an opportunity to rebuild their lives and choose to use that experience to help someone else. I am incredibly grateful to every one of them. I had recently gotten out of the hospital and could no longer do the physical work and my 90 year old mother was still recovering from a broken femur so I reached out to CRCI and I believe within a few weeks my request's were honored and we are very grateful! I went to this facility for one year. The desk ladies were so sweet and helpful. I feel like you get what you give. My 1st counselor and I did not line up due to schedules and I got switched to Brandon. Brandon was one of the best counselors ever. I’ve had quite a few over the years but he was one of my favorites. I am a female and he was a male and I felt very comfortable with him. He was great at listening, remembering, etc. He would research and help you with anything you need. A counselor should be like that- a recovery friend helping you reach your girls. The doctor Tanisha(who isn’t there anymore) was great as well. The dosing nurse Vicki is also amazing. I had a family emergency and had to leave town on short notice and she made sure I would be taken care of while I was away. She really is great. The staff communicates very thoroughly. My treatment plan has been working very well, much better at Coastal Horizons than at other clinics I have been to in the past. Hats off to "Gil," who began my traversing the site in a wheelchair and offered humor and positive encouragement. The prep team kept the process running smoothly and without stress. The doctor, Dr James Forrester, and his staff were all professionals, and they also treated me with respect and care beyond what I expected. Recovery and overnight care were done in a way that I just floated along in their care. I go for my first two-week checkup feeling that I am ready to drop some of the restraints in my recovery plan. They offer counseling and medication treatment as well as other services. I have been a patient at Port Health and utilize zoom counseling sessions for my mental health needs. All of the staff have been professional, and I am more than happy with the results that I have seen in myself since beginning counseling at Port Health. Although I use zoom meetings, they also offer more traditional sessions in person and are more than happy to accommodate patient needs. While progress in mental health can be particularly difficult to measure quantitatively, since starting counseling at Port Health I have noticed incredible changes in my attitude, ability to cope, deal with complex emotions and situations and even when I make a mistake, I am more conscious and aware of my choices and their impact on the world and myself. Port Health has been vital at a time in my life when I was uncertain how I would get beyond the loss of my father, and immediately after losing my mother, without a major mental health breakdown. That breakdown did not occur, and I credit Port Health Wilmington for helping me see my way through one of the most challenging times in any person's life. I could not imagine my life today without the incredible staff at Port Health Wilmington. More importantly I credit them with helping me realize in real terms that my decision to abstain from medication treatments was correct, but I could not have made that decision intelligently without knowing and believing that should I have needed medication treatment that the staff at Port Health was ready to support me in any way that I would need. I DONT RECOMMEND THAT ! I just transferred back here to Crossroads and they have changed so much for the BETTER. I'm actually 20 mgs lower then I was at Myrtle Beach treatment. IM NO LONGER SICK, AND NOT USING !!! Within a week of being back at crossroads my dose was starting to work again ... Everyday I was sick and dosing at Myrtle Beach treatment. AND I WAS AT 120.???? Here I'm at 100 and the medicine is actually WORKING... SO PLEASE BELIEVE ME , STAY AT C.O.H OR CROSSROADS... The medicine not only doesn't work at the other clinic ,but if you have blue cross you end up paying 120 a month .. Here it's only 30 a month... IM SO GLAD I GAVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE... As a part of the MAT program, they make it very easy to get on a program and stay on that path, for as long as you need/want it. With various resources available at all times and therapy available if needed or wanted makes for a great place to start your recovery journey. This place is fairly good about not constantly bothering you and making you do all kinds of classes, so it's good for people who work or have busy lives. The counselors & nurses are usually very friendly but rarely stay for very long (Lauren being the exception, great person). My biggest complaint is the high cost, currently $16 per day from $13 per day, this place makes a killing off of our mistakes but I guess you pay to play. From the time I started to now cost has gone from $12-$17 per day. Overall satisfied with the clinic though. *I had to update the 3 star to a 4, even though cost went up the service here has got better the past few months.
