After reading some of the reviews I am blown away. I seen one where a lady claims they make you smoke cigarettes and you will be a chain smoker when you leave. Geez it's mind blowing. I was never forced to smoke at all. This place did nothing but save my life. Ed is a wealth of knowledge, my counselor Ashley is the best ever. Other staff that stood out was Sean, Lily, Crystal and Carmen. I came in addicted to Fentanyl, went through detox then on to PHP. There ofcourse were areas that could use improvement such as food and even bigger issue was we were let to run out of drink and coffee all day long in the rec area outside cafeteria which is all you have access to for the long ass days of classes. That is something else that needs work, you are expected to attend class from 8 am to 4:30 pm 7 days a week. That is way too much and too tiring for us older patients especially us with other health issues. You cannot go to your dorm from 7:30 am till 4:30 pm either. If they can't give a day off for rest then at least 1 early day, like a Sunday get out at noon or 1. All in all I am satisfied, I coined out on November 26, 2025 and I'm still clean. Fayetteville, North Carolina | Patients of all ages in Fayetteville, North Carolina can access psychiatric care from the Behavioral Health Care Inpatient Unit of Cape Fear Valley. You’ll be taken care of by a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, mental health professionals and social workers. Here, you can get emergency mental health care as well as inpatient care | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I am surprised there is such a fantastic facility like this place in Fayetteville, NC.
My 5 day stay there was exceptional. The nurses were top notch and took very good care of me! Same with the doctors; top notch and took very good care of me as well.
On top of the wonderful care by the doctors and nurses, the staff feed me 3 hot meals a day; carried in by an outside facility. I was able to choose what I wanted for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In addition, they had snack 3 times a day, between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, dinner and bedtime.
I was quite miserable during my stay and everyone who worked there did their best to insure I was comfortable and okay.
I am sure there are others like me that forgot to post just how wonderful this place is, right here in Fayetteville, NC. I can’t thank the staff enough for everything they did for me!!! From a 1 to 10, 1 being the worst, all the workers get a 10. I’m just so impressed and thankful for all of them!!

I became a patient of crossroads back in 2018. At first I was problematic, not doing well but I also wasn’t doing anything that I was supposed to. Once I actually worked the program I began to excel. Yes I have been here since 2004 I have seen many changes in that time... About 3 and half years ago I transferred to Myrtle Beach treatment specialist
.... I DONT RECOMMEND THAT ! I just transferred back here to Crossroads and they have changed so much for the BETTER. I'm actually 20 mgs lower then I was at Myrtle Beach treatment. IM NO LONGER SICK, AND NOT USING !!! Within a week of being back at crossroads my dose was starting to work again ... Everyday I was sick and dosing at Myrtle Beach treatment. AND I WAS AT 120.???? Here I'm at 100 and the medicine is actually WORKING... SO PLEASE BELIEVE ME , STAY AT C.O.H OR CROSSROADS... The medicine not only doesn't work at the other clinic ,but if you have blue cross you end up paying 120 a month .. Here it's only 30 a month... IM SO GLAD I GAVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE... The director is GREAT. The whole staff is great... I love my counselor here. They have updated their facility too... I give crossroads 💯.

(16 Dec 2024) Waited over a month, had 2 interviews/assessments, totaling 2.5 hours just to be told they can't treat me because of alcohol issues. Iam in a group therapy with Mike Desire a man who is so compassionate at what he does person at times he will take his own time out to help his clients in anyway he can. My therapist is amazing kim jackson she takes her job very seriously and if you are lucky enough to get her you will be totally blessed. There are some real good ppl there Linda Pomeroy, shalisa hannah, Lou Sellers, a young women who I hated to see leave as she was such a blessing to me but her mental health was at risk her name was Sashi, linda wright. I see my Dr Dr vali on video call also but that is OK now I wasn't to kewl with it at first.
