The only thing good here is the Day treatment that helps my child with behavior. But as for Doctors like Davis and Reynolds they both lack in the attention that their patients need. I am from NJ just moved here and I have never experienced anything like this. So again I love the Day treatment but everything else horrible.

I went to this clinic at the beginning of December for a mental health assessment. I was complaining of suicidal ideation, severe depression and severe anxiety. After several insulting comments from the person who assessed me, they finished my assessment by telling me they would call me tomorrow with an appointment. I found out later that they are not supposed to let people leave an assessment without having an appointment in place already. After getting no call the next day, I called them three separate times over the next few days and was told that I would be called when the assessment was finished or completely blown off. I gave up. My mom decided to try to call for me and finally got through to someone when she mentioned that I was suicidal (despite my mention of this at assessment and each call). They magically were suddenly able to make an appointment that very night. They made some excuse about misplacing my paperwork, despite me calling them multiple times to tell them that I should have had an appointment made by now. At that point, I did not want to deal with people this unprofessional who clearly did not care about someone saying they were suicidal. I went into the appointment and asked for a refund for what I paid for my assessment that never was done. (The psychiatrist told me that if I was refusing treatment and suicidal, he would have to call the police on me. I told him that I had said that almost a month and a half ago and they didn't seem to care. Things had changed in the interim. To threaten to call the police on a patient that you have wronged who is already mad is unbelievable to me, especially from someone who is supposed to be a psychiatrist.) They told me that they would call me tomorrow about it. It has been over a week now since that happened. Can you guess if I received a call or not? I'll let you know that I still haven't despite trying to call them about this refund. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. They have made my mental health issues way worse and have shown little to no regard for the mental health of their patients which is their entire job. Update: They finally got back to me after another couple times of me having to call them first to tell me they won't do a refund as I received an assessment. This is despite the fact that my assessment was misplaced and not processed until the month after it was done, essentially making it no longer accurate. this is also despite the fact that I did not actually see a psychiatrist as by the time that they got back to me to make an appointment, I was no longer interested in their services. I would not recommend this place. They do not take their patients' well being seriously.

I absolutely adore my therapist Nicole. From the get go, she made me feel comfortable and heard. I would recommended her to anyone that needs a safe place to talk. As for the other reviews about this place - I’ve heard the front desk workers on the phone and in office with patients often. They are kind, caring, and try their best. A lot of the patients are rude, demanding, and don’t take no for an answer. I understand that they sometimes need to be abrupt and firm to get their answer across. Be kind to them and they’ll go out of their way to help you.

Jacksonville Community Based Outpatient Clinic provides solid care for veterans and the staff generally treat people with respect. Appointments moved along once we were called back and the providers listened without rushing the visit. The clinic itself is clean and easy to find on Henderson Drive. For routine outpatient needs this location gets the job done and the people who work there clearly understand the veteran population they serve. The experience was good overall but not perfect. Wait times in the lobby ran longer than expected and check in took extra time because of the usual paperwork and verification steps. Scheduling a follow up required patience and a couple of calls before everything lined up. Parking was available yet the lot filled quickly during peak hours which added stress before the appointment even started. None of that ruined the visit but it kept the day from feeling smooth from start to finish. Clinical staff and nurses were professional and courteous. Questions received clear answers and the plan of care made sense. I never felt dismissed or talked down to which matters a great deal in a VA setting. The facility layout is straightforward and signage helps once you are inside. Support staff at the desk stayed polite even when the waiting room got busy. That attitude goes a long way when the system itself can feel slow. I would return here for outpatient care and I would recommend it to other veterans in the Jacksonville area. The quality of the actual visit is strong enough to earn four stars. The gaps are mostly in wait times parking and the extra steps it takes to lock in appointments. If those pieces improved this clinic would be an easy five. As it stands the care and the people make it a reliable local option even if the process around the visit still has room to get better.

I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the staff of the Jacksonville CBOC. Many of the employees are Veterans themselves, or married to one, or have a close relative that is a Veteran. There have now been a total of four times that they because of their attention to the veteran and genuine concern they have saved my life. I think the world of my current Primary Physician and his team. The truth is I've been there when some of those who wrote negative reviews have been there. Put simply, how one treats those that serve often determines the attitude they perceive as coming from the one trying to do their job and help them. A little kindness and courtesy means a lot to the crew who are doing their best. And that's the point... THEY are doing their best... and compared to what we had not so long ago in the old converted gas station on Hargett Street, the old clinic... we all should be thankful.

As a veteran, I really appreciated how well I was treated at the MCAS New River DEERS ID Card Center. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, respectful, professional, and genuinely helpful. They explained everything clearly, kept the process moving, and made the entire appointment feel easy and stress-free. Because it’s on a military base, Google Maps is worthless. Must use Apple Maps to find properly. The gate guards may or may not be of help depending on their individual knowledge and the amount of traffic, time of day. Once there the ID renewal went smoothly and all the staff were efficient and personable. Kudos!!

Carlton is amazing . I been going to brighter start for almost 2 months now . Recently got into Carlton’s class And I’m so glad I did. His groups are very life-changing, He makes recovery so easy. I love our open discussions and love the class in general. I’m very happy I got switched to his class. I wish he could do virtual more often than Sunday and Thursday.

All the staff are wonderful dr Taylor is what you call a real doctor the first time I met him I was doing my intake and just from hearing talk to Mrs Lynn he put me on a whole new medication and finally I feel I finally received exactly what I've been looking for 30 years, and the doctors put me on every day in the world and nothing worked for my mental health PTSD by ADH. Don't listen to the negative reviews about Paige. She is a fantastic practitioner. I've been seeing her since 2019 and she has always been helpful, kind, attentive and truly listened to me. She is not rude by any means. She listens to all my symptoms, side effect issues and any problems im having with meds. I like Paige and enjoy having her as my med provider.

Le Chris is by far the all time best mental health office in North Carolina. Every member working there is always so empathetic and compassionate and gentle with the patients. Jared is so good in psychiatric medication management. Lexi and Heather are so smart and gentle at the front desk. Stephonie the therapist is a very understanding miracle worker for a therapist. Paris and Laura are phenomenal and they are the elite tops in peer support services. Melissa is such a caring care manager and the rest of the entire staff are nothing short of professional. They don't just say that they care, they show it. They will do whatever they can in their powers to help each & everyone who is a patient here. I would recommend Le Chris over any other office in North Carolina. 10/10. Definitely A+ service all the way. They get the job done in such a short time. Don't be afraid to call them and seek out help. They do have your best interest but they also do not force you or peer pressure you into anything. They present options for your treatment and they respect you to let you choose what's best for you based on what help options are available for your treatment plan. I am a current patient of 17 yrs on the methadone maintenance program at New Hanover Metro. This place is fairly good about not constantly bothering you and making you do all kinds of classes, so it's good for people who work or have busy lives. The counselors & nurses are usually very friendly but rarely stay for very long (Lauren being the exception, great person). My biggest complaint is the high cost, currently $16 per day from $13 per day, this place makes a killing off of our mistakes but I guess you pay to play. From the time I started to now cost has gone from $12-$17 per day. Overall satisfied with the clinic though. *I had to update the 3 star to a 4, even though cost went up the service here has got better the past few months.

My Grandmother got admitted on 09/23/26 to the emergency department and currently in the Neuro department. I’d like to thank the staff so far for treating me and my grandmother with respect, kindness, and compassion. Up in the Neuro department Miss Colby and the other nurse (night shift) were truly kind and dedicated. I had an excellent experience with Novant Health throughout the entire process, from my pre-surgical appointments through surgery and recovery. Dr. Dana Point was fantastic. He was personable, straightforward, and very open about the risks and what I should expect. I especially appreciated how thoughtful and measured he was in his approach to my post-operative recovery. I always felt well informed and confident in the care plan. I spent three days recovering in the surgical short-stay department, and the experience there was exceptional. The unit was clean, quiet, organized, and never felt chaotic. That made a real difference while recovering. The hallways were clear and easy to walk, which was important as I started getting up and moving after surgery. The nursing staff across every shift was outstanding. Everyone was kind, patient, accommodating, and responsive. They checked on me regularly without making me feel like I was constantly being interrupted, and I always felt that someone was available when I needed help. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of care, professionalism, and atmosphere throughout my surgery and recovery. From Dr. Point to the nursing staff and support teams, I felt well cared for every step of the way. I would highly recommend Novant Health based on my experience.
