I recently took part in Akua’s residential program, and it was an amazing experience for me. The team did an excellent job of providing a supportive and caring environment throughout the program. They made sure I was comfortable every step of the way and that I felt a sense of community. Their support gave me the strength to get through the toughest periods. The best part has been the alumni program's meetings and activities which is run by Camille. Alumni aftercare has been extremely helpful for me to remain focused on my recovery journey. The alumni program would not be possible without Camille. There’s no doubt she would make herself available if I needed help, which is huge. I have struggled with addiction for so long and have been to many costly recovery programs. However, I can honestly say that I have never encountered such a high level of care, empathy, and compassion as I did with Akua Recovery. I highly recommend Akua to anyone struggling with addiction.

I cannot thank Akua enough for what it has done for me and my recovery journey. This program truly has saved my life and taught me so many life skills and lessons that I missed in other treatment centers I’ve been too. My favorite thing about Akua is the family environment it has and a huge part of that is the Akua Alumni program and especially Camille. Having someone there to support and check on you right when you get out of treatment and throughout your time after has saved me so many times. The friends I’ve made here at Akua I know I will have for life and I’m grateful that the people in charge like Eamon, Grant, Khalia, Alicia, and Rob also go above and beyond for supporting the clients. I would highly recommend this outpatient program to anyone who is looking for a safe transition after a residential program or is just in need of some extra support in getting sober.

Response from the owner
You are amazing Kenneth! Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Akua!
