About CORE Mental Health Sevices

CORE Mental Health Services is an outpatient counseling center in Las Vegas, Nevada. They welcome adults seeking treatment for mental health conditions, substance abuse, and other challenges. You can access a discounted sliding scale fee if you don’t have insurance.

A Holistic Approach

One great feature I noticed was their treatment approach. They offer a biopsychosocial spiritual approach that incorporates the whole person into their treatment process. You’ll benefit from personalized care that acknowledges the significance of your social, cultural, psychological, biological, and spiritual needs.

Comprehensive Approaches for Trauma

I also like that they offer a blend of proven and holistic approaches to treat trauma. They understand that past traumatic experiences can influence addiction and your receptiveness to treatment. You can participate in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing to process past trauma.

They also offer therapeutic yoga for trauma recovery. This four week course provides yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises. You’ll benefit from learning new self care methods to overcome trauma and support recovery.

Client Experiences

Clients had mixed reviews about the care they received at CORE Mental Health Services. Some appreciated the expert PTSD treatment they received. Others mentioned issues with communication and office management.

This place lies. They will tell they can do paper work/doctor note, but after you pay, they say they cannot and they do not have a doctor. Please stay away. They will not help with your mental health. They only make it worse.

I highly recommend Dr. Lloyd, she has been my therapist since a couple of years now. Dr. Lloyd has been able to help me with my PTSD unlike any other therapist. She is knowledgeable as well as a caring person. The biggest impact on my life since I have been under her care, is the trauma relief by doing EMDR. Dr. Lloyd tried different approaches until she found the best for me. She speaks my preferred language too. My life is different now. She also helped me with my depression and anxiety. I have been able to love myself, like never had before in my entire life. Once again, I highly recommend Dr. Lloyd.

I struggled for many years trying to find a therapist. Those I did find didn’t have nearly the qualifications as found at Core and probably made some of my issues worse. I came across Dr. Lloyd online, decided to give her a try and the difference was immediately apparent. We’ve since worked together for years and where I was then is nowhere near where I am now. We were able to work through my traumas, and set action plans in place to achieve goals as needed. She will push you in an encouraging and helpful way, just trust that process! And finally, with her assistance, I was able to eliminate a cocktail of medications that were being used to “solve” my problems (was on them prior to me seeing her). Doing that and working with her has completely changed me as a person and I’ve grown in ways I didn’t think were possible. A big thanks to her and her staff.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

CORE Mental Health Sevices works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient rehabs provide addiction treatment aligned with clients' unique schedule and evolving needs. Many programs offer evening, night, morning, and weekend services to accommodate clients who are working professionals or full-time caregivers. They also provide a full continuum of care, including psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and, for clients in alcohol and/or opioid recovery, medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

When a person is unable to control their drinking despite negative effects in their life, they are experiencing alcoholism (alcohol use disorder). Recovering from alcohol addiction typically requires professional intervention such as alcohol rehab in Nevada. This may occur in a residential program, intensive outpatient program, partial hospitalization program, or support groups. Recovery typically begins with detox and continues long after rehab with ongoing supports.

When you enter drug rehab in Nevada, you receive professional assistance to remove drugs from your body and cease your body's need for the substance. You learn coping strategies and receive support to prevent relapse and enjoy long-term sobriety.

Programs

Teen programs are designed to address the unique pressures teens face, pressures that can drive them to experiment with dangerous, addictive substances. They need programs that meet them exactly where they are and give them tools for long-term recovery. Therapy can help teenagers understand and work through underlying issues so they can reclaim the life ahead of them.

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Individual therapy provides you with a confidential setting to explore the complex factors that contribute to drug and alcohol addiction. Your therapist can provide tailored support and help you develop healthy coping strategies, improve self control, and build a foundation for sustainable sobriety.

Sessions for couples therapy may involve joint meetings with the counselor as well as individual sessions. Between sessions, both partners are asked to do "homework," which involves practicing the insights and behaviors they learned about during therapy.

During family therapy sessions, your therapist facilitates discussions that help members of the family unit understand addiction and how it affects the entire family, providing you with coping strategies that help to strengthen the family unit.

Group therapy opportunities in Nevada allow you to see how successful recovery behaviors are modeled by your peers. You learn conflict resolution skills and are empowered to recognize your strengths and overcome your addiction.

Trauma therapy uses trauma focused care to help you understand and manage your emotional and physical responses. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience. This helps to reduce your anxiety and build your resilience to face future challenges and gain control over your life.
