We had a great experience at Embark with our Son. We were in a pretty hopeless place with anxiety and depression. We were thankful to find a program and staff that supported us. Our son is home now and in a much better place. He was given tools that are really helping him and achievable goals that have boosted his confidence and maturity.

Partial Hospitalization Program

For those that don't require round-the-clock care, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term option that can be used as a step-down treatment or as an alternative to intensive hospitalization. PHP treatment requires up to 5 days a week of commitment where you'll receive 6 to 8 hours of support every day. While a partial hospitalization program typically requires a commute, telehealth may be available. PHP treatment costs can vary but are often covered by most insurance.

Treatments

Colorado offers dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs that encompass various levels of care to meet your individual needs, including medical detox, outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization programs for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These dual-diagnosis rehab programs incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to successfully address substance use disorders and co-occurring diagnoses.

With residential addiction treatment, you live in a rehab facility while receiving mental health services. Rehabs offer 24/7 care provided by clinical and mental health staff. A typical inpatient program lasts 28-30 days, but some last for several months. Standard mental health services include group and individual counseling, with addiction and relapse prevention education. Amenities, like recreational offerings, vary by facility.

Clinical Services

The main principle of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Colorado is that substance use disorders are based on faulty thinking and behavior patterns. The goal of this treatment is to help the individual learn better ways of coping with challenges, which will lead to changes in thinking and behavior.

Participating in experiential therapy in Colorado brings awareness to the emotions and thoughts that affect your behavior. As you engage in an interactive or creative activity, your therapist will help you reflect on and analyze these patterns and develop healthy coping strategies to use in the future.

Our family was in crisis and our son was in a constant state of despair. We researched Embark, worked with insurance, and were able to get our son admitted to the facility in Greeley. The staff here are amazing at what they do for adolescents. At the moment we arrived we felt a completely different sense that this place and its caring staff were going to be the change we all needed. The staff are skilled at their jobs and more importantly know how to truly make a difference for adolescents. Our son is home now and I finally have a greater sense of hope for our son! It is going to be life changing. The staff knew how to reach our son who was previously unreachable. We are so grateful!

Our daughter thrived at Embark . She was given the tools and structure to learn coping skills. Esther was very helpful and put my mind at ease. Brooke took the time to listen to all of our concerns and find the correct path forward with adjusting medications. Gigi always kept me posted on any health concerns that I had. Brianna was great at encouraging our daughter to learn about herself and different coping strategies Brianna helped me realize what I needed to change to have a better relationship with my daughter Chris was amazing with all the kids and was involved with all day to day activities. Ryan the academic coordinator was positive and always made sure she was doing well in school. Amy taught her how to be assertive and Moe taught her how to love herself. I was told about Embark as I was really struggling with my 15 year son. I had looked into so many options and nothing could help with the level of care I needed for my son. I'm so forever greatful to everyone at Embark. The whole staff truly have a passion for these children. I knew my son was going to the best place to get the help he needed. I'm so forever grateful for everyone at Embark. I wish my son could have completed the 90 day stay. My son was starting to make great changes and is still doing good. Unfortunately insurance would not approve him to stay because he was making improvement. Embark did everything they could to have my son stay. I'm truly upset with our mental health system. He is doing so much better with the help from Embark. I can only imagine how much more we could have gained if my son could have stayed the full 90 days. I can't explain my greatfulness that I have to everyone at Embark. All we want as parents is to see our children happy and healthy in this life. I see there is hope and I have my son back. I highly recommend Embark to anyone who is looking for help with their child. Thank Embark you saved my family.

This place helped my son so much! In just 30days he had gained skills he always had but actually put them to work. A huge thanks to Crystal , Ryan, Kira, Mariah, Jonah, and Esther! Embark is a 5 star residential treatment center, focused on kind, caring, relational ways of supporting teens who are navigating tough mental health challenges. There is an amazing staff at Embark Residential Treatment Center. Together, they provide a safe, caring, compassionate space that allows young people to save their own lives. They create a welcoming environment where people feel seen, heard, understood and supported. The folks at Embark support the needs of the young people and provide healing opportunities. The life coaches clearly take an interest in the young people, get to know them and establish positive, meaningful connections with them. Their care for the young people's needs and support for keeping them safe during their stay at Embark is exemplary. The treating psychiatrist takes a holistic approach to medication and focuses on supportive alternatives to solely relying on medication. The Program Manager at Embark is always available to connect, hear questions and concerns and seems to go above and beyond with communicating in the most efficient and productive way possible. She is extremely caring, understanding, compassionate and patient. The young people at Embark are fortunate to have a very caring nurse on board - she is an amazingly compassionate, understanding person. She is extremely attentive to medical and medicinal needs; her communication is prompt and spot on. The therapist (Stephanie) ensures that families feel seen, heard and validated. She is always prompt to take action on concerning items. She considers a young person s strengths and potential while honoring their challenges and barriers--super encouraging! She also has a seamless way of balancing the art of bringing forward tough family discussions with an understanding and care for the young person's well-being.
