I am so thankful to Legacy for my life! Last summer my life was spiraling out of control and I needed help. The entire staff was so helpful and caring. All the sessions and assignments were so worth the outcome. I felt like I could talk to Any one of them and ask any question without feeling like a loser. I even had a good experience with the other residents (for the most part). We watched movies, played games, crafted, visited and talked things out amongst ourselves. I even discovered a few new things about myself from others there! Tanja is the best. Could talk to her about anything and she was supportive, to the point and caring. Oh and she is an animal lover❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Many clients who enroll in an outpatient rehab program are exiting intensive inpatient care and no longer require such high-level clinical supervision. Outpatient programs typically follow a step-down structure, with treatment frequency and intensity decreasing as clients progress in their recovery journey. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care are the most time-intensive and are designed primarily for clients who have just left inpatient treatment or who are at an elevated risk of relapse.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery and those who are exiting detox programs. It's ideal for clients in crisis or at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and meals, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from distractions and addiction triggers. Clients engage in intensive psychotherapy, and many inpatient programs feature recovery-focused life skills training and/or complementary therapies like meditation, creative arts therapy, and other holistic treatments.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism and alcohol addiction, is a chronic condition that involves craving alcohol and an inability to control drinking. A person with AUD must drink greater and greater amounts of alcohol to achieve the same effects and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they stop drinking alcohol. Several evidence-based methods are available to treat AUD through alcohol rehab in Arizona. This treatment can occur on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Dual-diagnosis rehabs in Arizona typically provide comprehensive treatment for both mental health and substance abuse. These types of specialized facilities address both issues at the same time through substance abuse evaluations and personalized treatment plans, evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), medication management, and skills development.

Arizona's substance abuse treatment centers can provide tailored treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Treatment programs may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step recovery, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Addiction experts employ evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and talk therapy to uncover and reframe unhelpful patterns. By graduation, you'll have developed new coping strategies, learned new stress management techniques, and have the capability of sustaining your recovery.

Treatment for addiction includes mental health services that are provided while during your stay at the facility. This may be a hospital, clinic, or a luxury treatment center setting. You receive 24-hour support and monitoring by mental health counselors and clinical staff. Most inpatient programs last 30 days, but some can last for two months or longer. Mental health is addressed during treatment via group and individual counseling, addiction education programming, and often recreational activities.

This place is decrimitive, completely racist! tjana was the worst therapist there very impatient...I was only there for a week n two days, in that week I have never felt more stressed, unsafe, like a burden and overall like i didn't fit in there due to the staff... I have epilepsy and she tried to tell me that I didn't know about MY OWN seziures, that ive been dealing with simce i was TWO! . MANY OF THE STAFF threatened to have me KICKED OUT, over something (epilepsy) i CANNOT control. called me a liability, and could not/ wouldn't meet my needs when it came to my disability, they claim to have had delt with epilepsy patients of those with disabilities, none of them knew how to handle. Just stare n be completely unaware. I do NOT recommend legacy whats so ever. None of the staff is qualified and or understanding

I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care and support that Legacy has provided to my husband during one of the most challenging times in his life. Struggling with mental health, my husband had reached a breaking point, and we knew something needed to change. From the moment I spoke with Dave on the phone, to the intake with Shea and Nathan, we were met with nothing but kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for his well-being. The staff is nothing short of incredible. They took the time to listen, understand, and design a treatment plan that was tailored to my husband’s specific needs. They not only focused on his symptoms but also helped him work on the root causes of his struggles, allowing him to start the healing process on a deeper level and they kept me in the loop weekly on how he was progressing. My husband has never been the one to open about his feelings, but the team created a safe space for him to do so, helping him feel supported every step of the way. They have worked closely with him, helping him develop coping mechanisms and strategies to manage his mental health in ways that felt empowering. Thanks to their comprehensive treatment and unwavering support, my husband has made incredible progress. He is now more calm, and in control of his mental health than ever before. I can actually hear the positivity in his voice when speaking to him and there is a light about him that is finally back. The transformation I've seen in him is truly remarkable, and I will forever be grateful for the care and expertise of everyone at Legacy. The work they do is life-changing, and we are so fortunate to have found such a dedicated and caring team to help my husband reclaim his life. I just want to thank everyone at Legacy for all that you have done. I know there is still continued work to be done and his journey is not over, but he will be able to persevere because of everything he has learned with Legacy. Thank you all!

I want to express my deep gratitude for the staff at Legacy Recovery Center. I recently had a loved one go through a severe mental health crisis. What followed was months of our loved one in and out of *multiple* hospitalizations, in-patient treatment facilities, and residential programs, both locally and in California. I will be spending some time trying to figure out why Legacy ended up being the place to bring some stability and healing when all of the other highly rated facilities simply could not. I am sure timing played a part, but even if the 'timing' is right, the facility needs to be able to execute and have the right staff. For other families going through this same issue, it's easy to become disenfranchised with the process. A couple of the previous facilities were almost predatory in their approach to admissions. They were full of promises, highlighting their luxury amenities or touting the qualifications of their head staff. What I have learned is that at most facilities, those highly qualified lead doctors are rarely at the facility. Do a quick search on them, and you will find they are often associated with multiple mental health facilities and are simply 'overseeing' the process. I am not writing that to be critical of that system, as their experience is important in structuring a successful mental health treatment program. But know that most of the hard work is done with the day to day staff and therapists. And as others have already mentioned, all of the staff at Legacy are absolutely amazing. On top of the frustrating admissions process, I felt that many of the facilities overly medicated our loved one. Please know, I believe medication is critical as part of mental health. But in our case, I felt that our loved one was declining each day while they were being shuffled from facility to facility. My fear was they would eventually be 'lost in the system', which was realized when they were eventually discharged to the streets of LA. It was an emotional roller coaster when our loved one called and wanted to try again with residential treatment. They had found Legacy Recovery Center and had been coordinating with Dave. Step one to success - honest and helpful admissions. Dave is a life saver. He was able to get our loved one admitted that same day. There were hard conversations, but they were delivered with honesty and compassion. And his dedication is amazing. Dave was extremely responsive, even during the holiday season. And Dave continues to be actively involved throughout the entire process, which was comforting. The therapy staff at Legacy were... well let me say that after attending a joint therapy session with our loved one, and meeting several of the staff, I am baffled at their insight, observational ability, and skills at coaxing out so much, all with a masterful balance of honesty, directness, and compassion. I went to support my loved one, and left feeling like I personally had just gone through one of the best therapy sessions of my life. Most importantly to me, they listened to what we had observed regarding prior treatment and medication, and did not simply follow what the previous facilities had done. Ultimately, our loved one did need medication, but the staff at Legacy worked to find the right balance. If anything, I think this was a critical reason that our loved one was successful at Legacy. They felt heard and were part of the process. Finally, the facility was great. Honestly, that was not as important to me, so long as they could help our loved one. But it is a lovely large home with plenty of communal spaces and spaces to get some privacy. Physical health is prioritized here as well, and the home has a fitness center and regular fitness classes. At all of my visits, it felt calm and comfortable. It is a safe place. Ultimately, Legacy was able to provide the mental health treatment for our loved one that others were not able to do. And that is what matters.

This was a safe place for my son to go when he needed help. From my very first phone call with Dave, I felt like he understood the situation and was there, every step of the way, to help get my son registered and admitted. The staff at Legacy is attentive and caring. The place felt more like a home, rather than a treatment center. We were able to visit on Saturdays. Everyone there was professional. I highly recommend.
