Great place to receive treatment as well as a great place to work and feel purpose. Def recommend for treatment as well as employment. I couldn't and wouldn't have made it to 2.5yrs sobriety without the love and support Isaiah House has given me as well as God's grace and mercy.

When I walked into the Shelley Center, I felt like I could breath again! I was out of touch with reality and on an ankle monitor. Even the Judge didn't trust me to go where I was supposed to go. Over 2 years later, here I am, sober, a genuine smile, not only happy but joyful, a trusted friend, family member and employee!

I've never been there but my brother has and he never said nothing but good things about them. I'm actually thinking of calling them myself.

Accepted Insurance

Lisa Walker Center works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

I got picked up from Lawrenceburg and it’s a shame when I try to go get help they say once I get there they are not qualified to take care of me. I’m diabetic and have neither legs but I can get around well and have a prosthetic. They also mentioned I didn’t need to be there bile cause I was already clean but I went there in the first place because I was thinking about using again. I understand not being able to take care of my diabetic problems but them saying I didn’t need to stay there cause I wasn’t on drugs.

So let's talk about it! So I reached out to this facility for treatment for myself. I have no shame telling you this. I explained to them that I wanted to get help weening off of Kratom. I was in-between jobs so I didn't have insurance. I went through the entire process of giving all my information and my situation. I was literally asking for help. This facility never called me back not ONE SINGLE TIME! No phone call, no email, no text , no nothing whatsoever! These facilities only care about how much money that they can make from you. That's it! That's absolutely thr truth! It's disgusting and awful that a place like this wouldn't even check on me, call to offer me other options, call to explain things to me! NOTHING WHATSOEVER! Not one phone call. It's awful and it's and insane that they claim they are helping people with issues and then treat a person who is absolutely reaching out by ignoring them !!! If your considering this facility, move on to another. And on top of all that !!!!! They claim to be Christian based and Godly. Lol ...... That that sink in. It's all about money and how much they can make off you. Do your research and move on to another facility.

My reviewing due to a situation that happened with this rehab because honestly I don’t think they seem to have it all together. While my husband is currently staying with them I have gone no contact for many reasons and removed myself from his contact list and this worked for a few days but it wasn’t long before one of their staff members was messaging me on Facebook for my husband sending letters and pictures of him manipulation on my husbands part absolutely shame on him. However the staff member then attempted to manipulate me and tell me “please don’t call the rehab and tell them if you do I will lose my job I was just trying to help”. As a staff member for one he clearly knew what he was doing could very well cost him his job and from my understanding he’s been through this rehab as well. And while my situation is NOT a domestic violence situation what if it was what if he was messaging someone to convince them to give their husband another chance sending letters and pictures. Very unprofessional in so many different ways! When I reported it to them due to the holiday no one but the unit manager was available to talk to me took the information and said he would pass it along I’m posting this because who knows if this information will actually get to the correct person or if this was someone that would do exactly like this other guy did. This place needs some work and if people working for you have been through the program but still able to manipulate like this cross these kinds of line and work for you I’d be questioning if your doing things right or not. We all make mistakes but if you work in a rehab identifying manipulation especially with addiction should be pretty high on your qualification list. I don’t work at a rehab I’m simply married to an addict and can sure identify it. Do better!

I’m giving 2 stars because I have heard several successful stories about the Isaiah house as a whole. But I’m baffled at a choice of staff that you’ve chosen to represent this facility as well as being a mentor to residents that are in recovery. I am an alumni of Recovery Kentucky and have 6 years of sobriety so I understand what it’s like to hurt and heal. The level of disrespect and degrading that I witnessed from a staff member is something that I pray isn’t a reflection of how residents are being treated. I also pray this attitude isn’t being condoned or depicted as a healthy form of recovery onto any residents. For me, treatment meant life or death. I know that’s what it means to everyone, so I take it seriously. As I’m sure all senior staff do as well. Feel free to reach out to me about this.

It truly was awful. Like a prison without bars. I was in a room with ppl that were charged with attempted murder, and kidnapping. The food was disgusting, various types of shredded or pressed pork 3 times a day, the "patients" had to share cups to drink from. They made you take drugs that you didn't want or were not explained to what they did to you. There is no medical detox there. When I figured out what was happening, I told them to get me out of here and the best they could do is take me on a 100 mile trip to Downtown Louisville and drop me off at a homeless shelter, in the hood. I only lived 20 miles away. That was medically and ethically Irresponsible. I hope this fact I have posted doesn't get scrubbed too soon, I needed to express to the public what actually is going on at Isaiah house.
