The Lisa Walker Center has a short term women’s program for those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. The residential program also includes living skills classes, group and individual therapy, and discussion groups.

If an individual completes the short-term program at the Lisa Walker Center, they can join the intensive outpatient program offered at this rehab. This IOP lasts four weeks and includes continued care, group and individual therapy, case management, equine therapy, and clinical groups.

This place is increasingly getting worse. The management at the Shelley center has 0 compassion. Not a single person is on the same page they favor clients, they favor staff the program within the facility is the worst program I’ve seen. 10/10 would never recommend this facility if you or a loved one is looking for long term sobriety. And from what I’ve seen with staff would 10/10 not recommend working for this company. House management is not good to the front line staff. They treat you like you are stupid if they don’t like you. They want to do whatever they can to stay open. If that hurts the clients or the staff then so be it as long as it benefits the company as whole. This place used to be great, but with with the newer management within the “Shelley center” it’s just bad.

I had the opportunity to visit Patricia's place, where I met some outstanding individuals and formed meaningful connections. Although the staff had a few exceptional members, there were some inconsistencies. Michelle, the lead nurse, was particularly noteworthy for her kindness and professionalism. However, I experienced some difficulties with the other nurses, including a delay in receiving my medication due to a simple oversight. Which lead me to have a miserable couple days. It appeared that some individuals received more favorable treatment based on how much they flirted or behavior. I also had a conversation with a gentleman who expressed concerns about being judged because of his addiction, so he told them he was an alcoholic when he was actually an iv user. They will treat you differently if you’re doing any thing other than alcohol. Furthermore, the facility's location may present challenges for minority groups also.(If you’re black be careful) Some staff members seemed more focused on career advancement than providing quality care.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Lisa Walker Center works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

First day of detox they had my mother sign papers they knew she didn’t read and did not explain to her. signed her up for insurance and EBT, and then proceeded to Open her mail on October 21st the day she was supposed to receive benefits and use those benefits immediately , they set a pin number for her and stole everything that she had in EBT. I was told they chose to take the ebt instead of billing her insurance which again was not spoken over with her or with me. She was not informed that she was even accepted for it let alone that they opened her mail and set her pin. She was not informed that they stole the money. They sent her a paper on November 5 from Isaiah house not from the ebt office with her card with zero dollar balance and expected her to pay for her food in outpatient or she wasn’t able to eat. When I called about the issue I was sent to voicemail multiple times and then when I finally received a call back I was met with a Natasha who rudely told me there was nothing I could do about it. They have been reported for fraud This is not the first time this is happened. Some of her housemates have gone through the same issue where they’ve been threatened to be kicked out of the house if they reported it. someone else I knew received monthly checks in which they took and spent and again did not tell anyone she even received them her mother had to have them write a check and send it back her or she would have taken legal action as well. (she had proof of all of this as well) The screenshot below is the transactions and the date the pin was set and money was taken as well as the most recent pin change my mother did on the 5th so they couldn’t take anymore. If you have loved ones here check EVERYTHING we’ve even had issues with them giving her belongings to other people.

Every single Isaiah house location is a fraud. They use being a “Christian based recovery” to make it seem like they’re honest trust worth people. If you don’t have insurance, that’s no problem to them because they’ll happily sign you up for passport, which is an issue. Except the also SIGN YOU UP FOR FOOD STAMPS EVEN IF YOU SAY NO! Once they receive your food stamp card, they then use it to purchase items for the canteen. Those items are been sold back to you at a huge mark up. So they’re forcing you to sign up for food stamps that you don’t need they then take your card which you get no access to. They’ve been purchase items and then sell them back to you for cash.. pure fraud. Not to mention there’s about 30 people plus in each room that is about a 25 x 20 x 25 square-foot room These people are correct they’re disgusting and they should be out out of business
