Overland Recovery truly saved my life. I was so anxious to make that first call for help, but from the moment I began the onboarding process, I felt completely at ease. I spent three months in their virtual/hybrid program and still felt deeply included, supported, and cared for every step of the way. The group sessions were powerful, and the staff genuinely wanted to see me succeed. I’m sad to leave, but I’m leaving with the tools and confidence to continue my healing journey. I’m forever thankful and grateful for my amazing team at Overland.

I spent six months in the Overland IOP program, and I can honestly say it was one of the most positive and life changing experiences I’ve ever had. The entire staff was absolutely incredible caring, supportive, and genuinely invested in everyone’s growth and recovery. They made me feel seen, heard, and valued every single day. I am so grateful to have met so many lifelong friends here. The program structure was thoughtful and well balanced, combining therapy, skill building, and community support in a way that truly helped me make real progress. I always felt safe and encouraged to be honest and vulnerable, which made such a difference in my healing process. Gabe and Jay were always incredibly professional and caring whenever I talked to them about my life. They listened with genuine compassion and understanding, never judging or rushing me. Both created a safe and comfortable space where I felt heard and supported, and their empathy always made it easier for me to open up. They always made me happy and laugh which helped so much while being at a tough time in my life. It really meant a lot to have someone like them to talk to. Teddy, was truly amazing. He was always so helpful, kind, and understanding, and he went out of his way to make sure I had the support I needed. No matter what was going on, Teddy was patient and always took the time to listen and help me work through things. He made everything feel a little less overwhelming and was someone I could really count on. Andy would always let me play with his dog, which became one of the highlights of my days there. It brought so much comfort and joy. Andy’s kindness and openness made the whole environment feel more like a family than a program. You can tell he truly cares about the people there and puts his heart into what he does, and that’s something I’ll always appreciate and remember. Noelle is such a kind, understanding, and genuinely wonderful person. She always led the groups with compassion and thoughtfulness, creating a space where everyone felt safe to share and be themselves. Her warmth and empathy made such a difference, and she had a way of making people feel seen and supported. On top of that, she’s incredibly smart and insightful. She’s the kind of person who truly listens and offers wisdom that stays with you. Monica, my therapist was absolutely wonderful. She had such a calming and compassionate presence that made it easy for me to open up and be honest about what I was going through. She truly listened and understood me in a way that made me feel seen and valued. Monica always offered thoughtful guidance and helped me gain new perspectives that made a real difference in my healing. Everyone here has made such a positive impact on me and I’m so blessed to have met them. My favorite part of the program was boxing with Eldar. He has this light and magnetic energy that fills the room the moment you walk in. No matter how heavy things felt, stepping into class and seeing his energy instantly lifted me. He has this infectious personality that’s so contagious. He lights up the entire room without even trying. There’s something about his presence that brings so much joy, warmth, and happiness to everyone around him. He made a huge difference in my time there, not just through boxing, but through the way he made people feel seen and alive. I’m so grateful for everything I learned and for the people who guided me through it. I will miss everyone and the staff at the program and will visit every once in a while. Overland gave me tools, confidence, and hope that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. I can’t recommend it enough!

Accepted Insurance

Overland Intensive Outpatient: IOP and PHP Programs works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Commonly known as "day treatment," a partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive form of outpatient treatment where clients meet during the day and return home in the evening. PHP treatment doesn't require 24-hour care and often serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or a step-down after a residential program. With PHP treatment, you can receive daily support for 6 to 8 hours which includes evidence-based therapies and medication management. The cost of PHP treatment typically varies but averages 90 days.

Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) support a client's sustained sobriety as they exit detox or step down from an inpatient program. IOPs are also designed for clients who are at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in a minimum of nine hours of therapy per week, but clients may receive up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP treatment modalities often combine psychotherapy, recovery-focused life skills training, and medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Clients receiving treatment at an outpatient rehab typically do not require hospitalization or intensive supervision and support. Outpatient addiction counseling and recovery education are often offered during the morning, evening, night, and weekend, allowing clients to tailor treatment to their own schedule. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs are the most time-intensive and are designed for clients who are at an increased relapse risk and/or who need more robust therapeutic support.

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

In California, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs offer comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Programs include medically assisted detox, intensive outpatient, outpatient, residential rehab, and partial hospitalization. Using an evidence-based approach, clinicians utilize therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy, or dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness to address substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. Additional services include 12-Step recovery, group therapy, family counseling, and relapse prevention to promote sustained recovery.

Inpatient treatment for drug and alcohol addiction with a focus on mental health is a good fit for people who need closer monitoring and care. Treatment may occur in a hospital setting, a clinic, or a luxury rehab center. Mental health counselors and staff are available 24/7. Therapies typically include group and individual counseling, relapse prevention education, and emotional coping skills training.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.
