Accepted Insurance

Phelps Memorial Hospital works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

CDT: Tutoring people on poor bathroom habits. They don't provide any services other than that.

It's nice to me friends there meet new people but they have too many clients to each counselor and my therapist I told her something what happened to my son something terrible the next morning I hear banging on the door who turns out to be the police and they put me in a mental hospital so after I got out I asked her what happened and she said she didn't think I can handle it I mean what was that and then I was losing weight because I went on a diet I don't take weight gaining medication so they had a fit the doctor I thought would know this cuz he's the one that prescribes the medicine I mean they have a thing where the woman talks about diet but the thing is they go eat lunch after that and they eat junk which is ridiculous waste of time and they just can't handle the groups and the director she likes to start trouble by asking questions that would stir people up so eventually I had to leave there. I do use the caseworkers at the program but it seems like since I started with them 15 years ago it turned out that there were things they didn't do that would help me with my situation because they're not knowledgeable enough it caused me a great big deal problems and even more dire straits which cause tremendous depression and anxiety and if they knew what they were doing that all could have been prevented and when I have her now after for help with my situation where I live which is not good she doesn't want to say anything to nobody she's just too worried about me getting in trouble and getting evicted I'm not doing anything wrong I told them I was being harassed but yet she doesn't want to say anything to anybody. When I turn 65 she didn't know how to help me with the Medicare advantage plan she made a mistake well I was being ripped off because they allow an allowance to get things for you like I need a new bed and when I told that the people that they use to buy the background they came in with a very cheap bed and it was supposed to be a $700 bed and she didn't believe me when I told her why because it's a mental health program I'm not to be believed. And she yells at me when she doesn't agree with me I already complained once about that the thing is I have a friend who's in dire straits where she's living and there's no one there to help her so I told her about my program how they're helping me to stop the harassment and if I find out they turned her their back on here I'm going to blow my top harass me going on there towards her and if they don't help her I'm going to blow my top if they turn away because she has nowhere else to go with this she's been dealing with this for almost a year now and all she does is get a door slammed in her face no one wants to help she's been dealing with this about a year now she's written everyone letters and in Westchester county it set up where no one helps anybody because they're all in cahoots with each other they don't go against each other and this is why people are having problems and mental breakdowns because when the situations like this happen it causes depression and anxiety get mental problems because they don't get the proper help. I feel like it's not setyou to leave they want you to stay thereso they get money for you and they just keep pounding people and we're practically sitting on top of each other in a Group
