Negative Vibes, Man I will most definatly start by saying that I have met some of the most amazing people i have ever known there and I treasure each and every one of the wonderful things they all give me daily. Now, star worthy, let alone review worthy stuff like this is not my style. I wish with this to advise anyone to consider this place home. In recovery we are often in a bind and need somewhere safe to land. We also are trusting, hoping that the things advertised are as promised. The ownership at serenity house are the polar opposite of the name. Desperation for profit and the knowledge of our vulnerability feeds the intent of this home which was most likely a wonderful idea to start with. i highly advise you to consider all other options before you put your recovery at risk. Besides my truly wonderful new life long friends (sorry guys if you're mad at me for this), i only recieved constant stress, drama and worry from serenity house. And yes, BED BUGS.

***BED BUG INFESTED*** The community, accountability and fellowship at Serenity were great, but the ownership of Jocelyn & Robert was terribly disheartening when I came to discover the true nature of their dishonest character. Myself and several other residents discovered bed bugs infested in our rooms and mattresses. When we requested a professional exterminator be brought into the home, the owners refused and told us to be quiet about the issue and keep it hush hush. My roommate and I were then kicked out of Serenity house with nowhere to go and only 3 months into our recovery. Jocelyn and Robert had zero empathy or compassion knowing this and kicked us out anyways. We were also promised reimbursement of that months rent and its been 2 months and I still haven't recieved my check or contact from either of them. Any advice I could give, is to use caution going here. After leaving Serenity, I was blessed to get into an Oxford home. There are Oxford homes world wide and all over Colorado that are a much safer, cheaper, cleaner way to go. Where you will be surrounded by people who care and will help you grow in your recovery and not cause unnecessary triggers to us trying to get healthy. If you're in need of a sober home, check out Oxford homes online and it will show you the ones in your area. Blessings to you all and may God lead you to the place best suited for you and your needs! :)

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Sober Living Houses (SLHs), aka sober homes or halfway houses, are safe, substance-free, supportive living facilities for those recovering from substance abuse. Ideal for those who've just been through inpatient or outpatient treatment, SLHs are supervised environments with rules that support sobriety, such as curfews, shared chores, and therapeutic meetings. Residents are also often trained on life skills and coping skills to make it easier to transition into society. SLHs also provide a strong sense of community that can lead to the kind of deep and lasting connections with other sober individuals that supports a new, healthy lifestyle.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Outpatient rehabs offer a wide variety of services and levels of care to align with clients' unique and evolving needs. Outpatient care is best suited for clients who are stable and for those who wish to remain at home while receiving treatment. Clients typically receive addiction counseling and recovery-focused life skills training, including participating in evening, night, and weekend sessions to accommodate clients' schedules. Clients at an increased relapse risk may receive more frequent and intensive treatment.

Clients receiving care in an intensive outpatient program (IOP) engage in a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week on average. However, many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 therapeutic hours weekly. IOP services are ideal for those in early recovery or who are at an elevated risk of relapse. IOP may be chosen in lieu of inpatient rehab. Treatment modalities typically include psychotherapy, life skills training, medication assisted treatment (MAT), and holistic care.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Colorado offers dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs that encompass various levels of care to meet your individual needs, including medical detox, outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization programs for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These dual-diagnosis rehab programs incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to successfully address substance use disorders and co-occurring diagnoses.

With residential addiction treatment, you live in a rehab facility while receiving mental health services. Rehabs offer 24/7 care provided by clinical and mental health staff. A typical inpatient program lasts 28-30 days, but some last for several months. Standard mental health services include group and individual counseling, with addiction and relapse prevention education. Amenities, like recreational offerings, vary by facility.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The main principle of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Colorado is that substance use disorders are based on faulty thinking and behavior patterns. The goal of this treatment is to help the individual learn better ways of coping with challenges, which will lead to changes in thinking and behavior.

Dialectical behavior therapy is skills based and present oriented. You'll be asked to keep a diary of emotions and related behaviors and practice the skills you've been learning between sessions. The focus of skills development is on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Based on the couple's needs, couples therapy may take different forms. Your therapist will probably take an integrated approach, using techniques from several methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic couple's therapy. The goal is to work through challenges and strengthen your relationship.

Very disappointing. All the surrounding rehab facilities and detoxes know to not send their clients to the serenity house and even warn against it. Jocelyn and Robert (the owners) are dishonest with one goal; make money. I'd left a review 2 years ago when I moved back in, full of hope for my life and recovery. They made up a complete lie to kick me out after collecting rent, which isn't an uncommon experience for most who live here. I felt it was important to change the review to an honest warning. This is not a healthy environment that's conducive to staying clean and sane. The are many other better places to go.
