Everything was great qirh the exception of the nurse who drew my blood. Only the second time in my life someone had that much difficulty getting a vein. I tried to tell her the tourniquet wasn't working. Sticking the needle in and then moving it around to find a vein resulted in a fair amount of pain and bruising.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
inpatient iconInpatient
Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
lgbtq-program thumbnail image
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

My father in law is at Sky Ridge right now. I wouldn’t let some of this staff take care of my dog. Some of the staff was wonderful but the young nurse working 6/5 day shift on the ortho floor shouldn’t even have a nurses license. I am a healthcare administrator and the treatment of my father in law is horrifying. He was not allowed to get up, no ADL’s or personal cares were completed, not given a shower, barely seen by therapy, not walked, not allowed to sit EOB, brief not changed, has increased skin breakdown, and his nurse left unneeded tubes and IV’s in him. In the 8 days he has been there, he has gotten worse. My father in law has advancing dementia and not being cared for has made him scared and frustrated and has turned aggressive. That’s what happens with dementia. Now, the documentation has affected his placement in a decent rehab facility. Do not send your loved ones there, drive the extra and go to a better hospital.

Sky Ridge was a good place to have surgery. All of the staff were kind, actually listened to me and addressed my concerns, and were compassionate. I recommend the hospital for outpatient surgery.

I went to Sky Ridge on Wednesday 5/28/25 for some major surgery. The hospital itself was awesome. The nursing and hospital staff and everyone I had contact with was great. Dr. Simon Kim did my surgery and he to was outstanding. I live quite a ways from Sky Ridge but would not hesitate going there again if I needed to.

911 er visit because after out patient surgery my blood pressure was high and post op couldn't get it down. ER doc gave me meds and analyzed lab work which enabled me to walk out less than 2 hrs later. Kudos to ER staff for professionally and expeditiously solving the problem.

If I could leave a lower score I would. The facility caused a delay in my recovery that may end up costing me my career cause I’m not healing up properly due to delayed post surgery care. The staff here is low class and does their jobs poorly. They will cop an attitude with you when call out their wrong doing and then stone wall you. This hospital is definitely not the safe well put together facility/staff I thought it was. I’ll be seeking all my more serious medical care from the east coast. Seems the further inland you go from the coasts the worse the doctors and medical staff are. I’ve received such poor care I would caution anyone about going to any hca facility or provider based on my personal lived experiences the staff here lies on their reports to fit what ever narrative they want. I’m telling you rugs don’t lie as good as these crooks

Their NICU took incredible care of my daughter. She was born premature. I'm eternally grateful for the precious care they gave her. I'll never forget the Nurses and Doctors that cared for my baby.

Nurses were nice, but I was never checked on. I was admitted for kidney stones and was hooked up to fluids. I honestly don't know why I was there, I was not having any pain. Nurses were supposed to sift my pee to check for stones but I would have to call them to actually empty my full pan. My fluids would run out and machine would be beeping and calling a nurse they would tell me they cant' due anything and would need seek permission from the RN, which would take hours. I was told i could be discharged after my surgery if i was feeling okay. My discharge took over 3 hours because paperwork wasn't done and the RN wasnt able to print anything because of it. I was very frustrated the entire time. I cant imagine being there and actually being in pain and needing to be monitored. When I was finally leaving, the person across from my room had a machine that had been beeping like mine for at least half an hour. I felt bad for them, I had to silence mine over and over while I waited after calling for help. Needs better organization to ensure all nurses can provide care and not need permission to do simple tasks like sift a bed pan or add fluids.

I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding care I received during my recent stay at your hospital following my hip surgery on 5/19/25. From the moment I arrived, I was met with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine sense of compassion from every member of the medical staff and support team. The doctors, nurses, physical therapists, aides, and everyone involved in my care went above and beyond to ensure that I felt comfortable, informed, and truly cared for throughout the entire process. Their professionalism was matched only by their kindness. Each person I encountered treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. They were attentive and prompt in responding to my needs, never making me feel like a burden. Even more impressive was the positive attitude and good humor that so many of them brought into the room—it truly lifted my spirits and made we feel at ease. It was clear that this team not only possesses clinical excellence but also a deep sense of humanity. Every interaction—whether it was a quick check-in, administering medication, explaining procedures, or simply sharing a smile—reflected their commitment to patient-centered care. Please extend my sincerest thanks to everyone involved in my recovery. Their combined efforts made an incredible difference in my healing process, both physically and emotionally. I will always be grateful for the care and compassion I received. With heartfelt appreciation!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! I am type one diabetic (who uses a pump to receive my insulin) I recently was put in the hospital for high blood sugar and upon departing to leave one of the nurses proceeded to remove all the attachment on my body from the stay. As she removed them she ripped out my pump as well causing me to also bleed. At the time she felt bad but after treated as a “not a big deal” moment. When it was time for me to leave the nurse walked me to the front and told me to sit and wait on a bench for my ride and left me alone knowing I was jus in the ICU. When i got home me and my family decided to take it up with the higher ups who work there when we told him the issues we came across he proceeded to say i was lying and it was not true because his nurses “know what they are doing” and hung up on us after saying we would be transferred to someone that would help. This hospital is GOD awful and i would not recommend anyone go there or take someone there the staff does not know how to do their job properly nor attend to the sick THEY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! The staff doesnt check on their patients for more than 3-5 hours even in the ICU it was a whole ghost town with people who dont even care about their jobs. DO NOT COME HERE
