They’re a drug-free facility in Bakersfield, California, that focuses on your continued sobriety through regular and random drug testing to help residents stay accountable and on track with recovery. Many participants come here with behavioral health challenges alongside substance use histories.
Growth Through Structure and Support
This is a transitional living program that provides 24-hour residential care, as well as structure, support and a real sense of community as you rebuild your life in recovery. Residents learn valuable life skills, develop character and have access to health services and community support programs.
Helping You Move Forward
Residents are expected to attend 12 Step meetings and perform assigned daily chores to build responsibility and practice life skills. This helps you develop independence while still having support. I think it’s helpful that they’ll help you find permanent housing when you’re ready to move on.
How Clients Describe Third Tradition
Most people say their time here gave them the structure, support and real community they couldn’t find anywhere else. One client said, “I’ve been in 12 programs before, but nothing beats Third Tradition.” While a few reviews note that the program didn’t work for them, the overwhelming message is that this community helped them stay sober, reconnect with family and feel like themselves again.
