About Abel’s House Inc

Abel’s House Inc is a sober living community for adult men located in Phoenix, Arizona. Men who are experiencing homelessness or issues with substance use are welcome. The program is faith based, and while they do not provide formal addiction treatment, men can live here while working on recovery.

Addiction Recovery in a Faith Based Environment

The focus of the program is using Biblical principles to guide recovery. The core values focus on equal opportunity, looking at addiction as something anyone who’s willing to put in the work can overcome. Accountability is a significant part of life, and each resident is accountable to staff and each other for their progress in recovery.

Living in a Sober Community in Phoenix

While you’re in the program, you won’t need to worry about how you’ll cover rent or buy groceries. Those things are provided to each resident, and include meals and basic necessities like clothing and toiletries.

The home is located within walking distance of a Valley Metro bus stop. The area also features access to hiking trails and parks.

Help to Prepare for Independent Living

It’s not uncommon for men living with addiction to need help with structure. You’ll not only participate in spiritual growth activities, but you’ll also work on developing life skills and building character. Many residents have mentioned the “positive impacts the program has had on relationships and self worth.

Preparing for steady work is also a critical component of recovery. Mentors work with each resident to help with job searches and resumes. It’s all part of getting ready to live independently once you’re ready. Graduates often talk about how “important the Christina mentorship and community support” has been for their success in recovery.

There is no charge for the addiction recovery services offered by Abel’s House. Men who’ve participated in the program talk about how grateful they are for a second chance at life, and appreciate the opportunity to focus on recovery.

This was the shadiest place that I've ever lived in. Try somewhere else. Do research. You have to sign a notebook stating that they have the right to view your phone and the dude that's manager has an ankle monitor on IPS and tells everyone what to do or kicks them out of not even if you paid.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

If you're struggling with adjusting to daily life after inpatient rehab, a sober living home in Arizona may be a good option. These residences offer an in-between option where you can practice the skills you learned in rehab in a structured, drug-free environment. This transition can help you prepare to face the "real world" after treatment. You'll live with others in recovery and follow house rules such as contributing to chores and paying rent.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism and alcohol addiction, is a chronic condition that involves craving alcohol and an inability to control drinking. A person with AUD must drink greater and greater amounts of alcohol to achieve the same effects and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they stop drinking alcohol. Several evidence-based methods are available to treat AUD through alcohol rehab in Arizona. This treatment can occur on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

Programs

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Clinical Services

Developing life skills is an important piece of addiction recovery treatment. These skills help you succeed in day to day tasks and live a healthy, independent life. They include communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self control, and resilience.

i hope this place has improved since i was there. It was a joke. You don't know the background of the guys your living with. You were always getting hit up for money. And if you ordered food or bought food. You would get begged for it. Panda was good for that. So really do your research on this place. And go check it out. But be aware again. You don't know the backgrounds of the other guys. I didn't until i left. Let's just say. Most of them are Registered. i'll leave it at that.
