Use them as motivation to do it right this time, and find strength in the discomfort, on the way to securing a lasting recovery that nurtures personal growth and wellness.

The facility acknowledges the importance of accessibility, and so leverages its digital platforms to grow its community beyond what’s physically possible. Clients can access peer support through the center’s social media channels and online forums, providing ample opportunities for connection, sharing, and moderated, respectful support

Alongside standard services like recovery coaching, therapy, case management, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), the center also organizes regular community events and social activities. Designed for relaxation and fun, they range from group outings, to workshops, volunteering opportunities, social gatherings, and more. They’re a hub for the community, allowing you to build a solid recovery support network.

Awkward recovery has been one of the most pivotal parts of my early recovery experience. The team is dedicated to equipping those with mental health or substance abuse disorders the best they can for life after treatment. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone and everyone struggling with their mental health. This was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. Alex my therapist at awkward is one of the most supportive people I have met while trying to recover. I can gladly say he is one of the most caring people I have ever met and made me see I am not going through this alone. Every staff member had each individually proven themselves to me as some of the most competent at what they do. The office itself is very niche and is somewhere I like hanging out when I need to feel comfortable with my sobriety/ mental health. There were only a few times I had to set up virtual counseling but the process was super easy nonetheless. I always made it a habit to come up there for my sessions. My family therapy session I had up there was very helpful for me and my mom. Alex made it very easy for us to understand each other’s feelings and help me show growth when it really started to matter. Overall I really needed this experience and would like to thank each and every one of the staff members. Special thanks to Sal he really goes way over the top to accommodate every client that comes through Awkward recovery. 10/10

I was blessed to have found Awkward Recovery. I was attending PHP at a local recovery. I knew my time was getting shorter there. I made the decision in rehab that I wasn't going back to my hometown, so then I needed some place to go. I called all kinds of places, turned do so much because I didn't have the money. So randomly I called and spoke to Beniz. The next day I had a new home, and a new IOP. I owe a lot to Awkward. Rachel, Alex, Laurie, Megan, Emily, and Sal made my time there wonderful. Sal helped with everyday things that as newly sober, I personally hadn't done in years. Alex was wonderful counselor. I am happy to get to be called an Awkward alumni. Thank you Awkward!!

Thus program has drastically improved my life. Our group is so close. Boz worked magic to get me in. The clinicians are knowledgeable and compassionate while challenging us. Sal, the jack of all trades, is a great dude. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive outpatient programs offer high-level care for clients as an increased risk of relapse, including those in early recovery, those with a strong history of relapse, and those experiencing a crisis. Intensive outpatient treatment typically requires clients to engage in nine to 20 hours of care weekly, with treatment modalities that combine psychotherapy and recovery education, and holistic therapies, such as acupuncture and animal therapy. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is also common in alcohol and/or opioid recovery.

After completing some form of inpatient care, many clients transition or step down to an outpatient rehab, while some choose to transition from detox directly into outpatient care. High-intensity outpatient programming, including partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) is widely available for clients in early recovery, those leaving detox, and those at an elevated relapse risk. Clients in outpatient care generally engage in robust addiction counseling and recovery education, and some also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

Treatments

Alcoholism occurs when a person becomes physically and psychologically dependent on alcohol. Attending a professional alcohol rehab in Texas can provide customized intervention methods to address the physical, mental, and relational challenges of addiction.

During rehab in Texas, you'll deal with underlying issues that contribute to addiction. By addressing these challenges and learning healthy ways to cope with them, you'll develop strategies that help you live a drug-free lifestyle.

Texas's specialized dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs prioritize comprehensive care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. These programs offer diverse levels of care, including outpatient, inpatient, and partial hospitalization options. Evidence-based therapies, trauma-informed care, group work, and educational workshops help treat both conditions at the same time and give you the tools to sustain mental health and sobriety.

With a co-occurring drug or alcohol addiction and a mental health disorder, you'll want to seek out a dual diagnosis treatment center. These specialized rehabs offer services to address both conditions at the same time, including 24/7 access to medical and mental health professionals. By treating both disorders at the same time, it drastically increases your chances of successful long-term recovery.

Clinical Services

The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in Texas is to change thought patterns, which leads to changes in behavior. Specific techniques during CBT can include self talk, SMART goals, journaling, and positive activities.

Treatment that takes a dialectical behavior therapy approach focuses on four strategies. Distress tolerance will help you accept and tolerate intense emotions. Emotional regulation will teach you to manage those emotions. Mindfulness will keep you in the present moment instead of regret or worry. Interpersonal effectiveness will teach you to manage your relationships.

Individual therapy offers you a confidential space to address the complexities of your drug or alcohol addiction. Your therapist guides these personalized sessions to help develop self awareness and manage stress. This promotes sustained sobriety and overall well being.

Peer support is an important aspect of group therapy sessions for drug and alcohol addiction. As you and your peers share stories and encourage each other, it fosters a sense of community and belonging that helps you process your feelings and reduces the sense of isolation that is associated with addiction.

Together with an experienced trauma therapist, you work on healing emotional wounds from traumatic experiences within a trauma therapy environment. Your therapist will help you process the experience of the trauma, which promotes emotional healing and improves your overall mental health.
