About Baker Places Inc

Baker’s Places Inc, which is a part of the organization PRC, is located in San Francisco, California. You can receive residential substance abuse treatment and detoxification, financial assistance, and some forms of legal representation through the Baker’s Place programs.

The organization has made it their mission to support those living with addiction, mental health concerns and/or HIV/AIDS through expansive advocacy and care services.

Clients must have a source of income to cover program costs and must be uninsured. Government health benefits are acceptable.

Helping You Start Over

While the residential programs are open to adults, one requirement is that you be “marginally housed or homeless.” If you are coming here from a place of homelessness, however, you can expect to get much more than substance use disorder treatment.

A case manager will work alongside and get services in place that will help stabilize your life, such as housing, employment and financial assistance.

A Cosy Recovery Experience

The addiction recovery residence is modeled after a small home, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. The intention is that clients live in a setting that closely mimics everyday living.

The goal is to help you become comfortable balancing everyday tasks and responsibilities while maintaining your sobriety.

This is the worst agency in San Francisco for anyone for housing. My room was mold infected for 7 years. And they did nothing but paint over it and a friend Andy.Showed me photos he took tearing the wall out below the window to replace it. My concern was never taken seriously by corrupt Mitchell or Jessica. Now my lawsuit for physical harm and torment is being filed.

Had to call multiple numbers multiple time to get hold of someone at intake. And when we did she was super rude. The worst part is she was the manger! It’s already a hard enough situation to be in, only to get treated poorly.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Inpatient rehab provides intensive treatment for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Unlike outpatient drug rehab, clients receiving inpatient care reside at the facility for the duration of the program. The length of stay may range from two weeks to 18 months or more, depending on the client's needs and the program's design. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive addiction education and recovery-focused life skills training.

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Programs

HIV/AIDS programs support disease prevention and management in high-risk individuals in recovery. Individuals who engage in intravenous drug use and other addictive behaviors are at a higher risk of becoming infected with HIV. Rehab centers that specialize in treating this population typically have a high number of nurses, physicians, and psychiatrists on staff who can make sure both their medical and mental health needs are met.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

While participating in dialectical behavior therapy in California, you'll focus on four key areas of skill development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. Treatment includes weekly individual and group sessions.

During group therapy, men and women learn to express their emotions openly in a non judgmental setting. This helps you process your feelings and reduces feelings of social isolation that are often associated with addiction.

Individual therapy for drug addiction includes a customized treatment plan that considers your history and life circumstances. During your therapy sessions, the therapist helps you uncover underlying issues and triggers for addictive behavior that support a holistic approach to recovery.
