About Changing Lanes Recovery

If you’re seeking treatment for addiction in Arizona, Changing Lanes Recovery is one of your options. This nonprofit organization in Tucson offers an intensive outpatient program, moral reconation therapy, a Recovery in Action program, and recovery housing options.

The treatment team here prioritizes peer support and shared activities that build peer relationships for individuals on similar recovery journeys. To complete the program, you must finish the six month program that comprises two outpatient treatment phases.

The facility is conveniently located near major roads and is about a four minute walk from the nearest bus route. It’s approximately seven miles from downtown Tucson, which offers a vibrant mix of historic buildings, unique shops, restaurants, cultural spots, and art galleries.

Moral Reconation Therapy Program

The MRT program helps clients through group and individual sessions. MRT assists clients in building moral reasoning skills, which can be a great benefit in addiction recovery and staying sober.

This is an interventional therapy that reduces recidivism and criminal justice involvement, which is often a problem for individuals with addiction. Many individuals experience increased adherence to treatment, improved psychiatric symptoms and functioning, and higher motivation.

GED Program

Education empowers clients in recovery and opens up a variety of future opportunities. To this end, the organization offers a GED program to help clients achieve their high school equivalency certificate. Better future career opportunities help clients maintain long term sobriety.

THINK TWICE before contacting this facility for help/treatment—in fact, don’t bother. Contacted them three times over the course of a week—twice by phone messages and in writing. Three days later and still no reply, despite a promise on their outgoing voicemail to return calls within 24 hours. They clearly don’t care about clients nor do they about prospective clients. Will see to it that they are exposed and held accountable for their irresponsibility, negligence and, dare I say outright malpractice. Plan to go so far as contacting Congresswoman Grijalva.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Intensive inpatient programs (IOP) offer high-level support for clients in early recovery, those exiting detox or inpatient rehabs, and those at an elevated risk of relapse. Intensive outpatient treatment typically includes rigorous individual, group, and family counseling. Evidence-based complementary therapies, such as acupuncture and massage, are widely available. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) may be provided. Clients in IOP receive a minimum of nine hours of treatment per week but may engage in up to 20 treatment hours weekly.

Treatments

Arizona's substance abuse treatment centers can provide tailored treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Treatment programs may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step recovery, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Addiction experts employ evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and talk therapy to uncover and reframe unhelpful patterns. By graduation, you'll have developed new coping strategies, learned new stress management techniques, and have the capability of sustaining your recovery.

Programs

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Also known as CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arizona is one of the most common types of psychotherapy. It offers a structured method of counseling that effectively treats substance use disorder and dual diagnosis disorders.

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

The goal of motivational interviewing in Arizona is to enhance your confidence in your ability to make changes in your life. It encourages you to commit to change and plan for the process of making those changes that will allow you to reach your goals.

Family therapy involves sessions where members of the family discuss how addiction has affected them individually and collectively. Therapists can guide families in developing coping strategies that help support their loved one's recovery while also focusing on their own emotional health.
