About Lakeview Center – MAT Clinic

Located in beautiful Shalimar, Florida is Lakeview Center. This is an opioid addiction recovery clinic that helps adults struggling with chemical dependency. Along with providing evaluations and assessments, they offer a continuum of services to help you work through your addiction. The core of their services is medication assisted treatment, although you’ll also be supported by intentional, individualized counseling to help you work through the challenges you’re facing.

They accept most major insurance policies here, including Medicaid. There are also sliding scale discounts to help make care more affordable too.

Suboxone Medication Assisted Treatment

Suboxone is at the heart of their addiction treatment program and it is an effective way for you to manage cravings and normalize your brain chemistry after opioid addiction so that you can focus on counseling and other therapies. Suboxone medication is combined with counseling so that you can create relevant recovery goals to work through in your journey to sobriety.

Accessible Opioid Addiction Treatment for Justice Involved Clients

The services here are designed to help at risk individuals, including those who are criminally involved, receive the evidence based therapies to help them work through their struggles quickly and affordably.

Many people here are referred from the local court system, while others seek out services voluntarily if they’re ready to make impactful changes in their lives. To make treatment more accessible, there are evening treatment sessions available as well as daytime sessions.

Recovery Classes

One of their services that past clients found really helpful was their different recovery classes. Through these recovery classes, you will cover specific issues like challenges with your mental health, understanding how to manage your anger, and learning how to address other issues impacting your life.

If you have co occurring mental health conditions, there are psychiatric services available to address these issues like depression, anxiety and other mental health challenges.

One star for the people that's been there for years... but if there's any new weak minded drug addicts ... then come join they give u weekend take homes just to start ... they don't even care if you fail drug tests... there is no consequences for your actions.... but if you been there for years and doing right you get set back 2 phases bc they wanna close on weekends... they won't just add the extra to our take homes regardless.... So it's basically cool if your new you willget privileges regardless of the amount of time you put in at the clinic.... which is wrong bc if your willing to give doses to everybody then you need to do the same to everyone equally .. not just keep us the same if we already get 5 a week.... you should allow us to pick up once a week then....But hope you enjoy my review...Hope to hear from yall soon

I have nothing but positive feedback for this treatment center because that's exactly what this is. It treats not only the addiction but the mind as well. My counselor, Kris, has helped me just within a year and a half to completely shift my way of thinking and get to the root of my issues. I would encourage anyone needing help with opiate addiction to let this team of wonderful people help change their life as well.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Treatments

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Don’t go here. They will not follow up with you like they say they will. Forget trying to get in touch with any therapist, you will not revive a call back. Excuse after excuse!!!! Don’t waste your time!!!!! Allow me to edit: I just called twice and no one picked up the phone. And of course it went to the same recording where I can leave a voicemail, but no one will call me back so what’s the use?!?! -J. D.

I am THRILLED to update this review. I went in this morning and was told that my case had been reassessed and that I would be immediately returned to phase 27/ This tells me a lot...It tells me that they actually cared enough to consider that the drive might be a hardship. they didnt have to do that but they did and I deeply appreciate it. It also tells me that they are willing to put some trust in me and that goes a very long way towards me trusting them and it makes me want to show them that trust is not misplaced. Bottom line they actually cared enough and I am very pleased. Now if they could get a camera bathroom it would be perfect. I understand it is a community bathroom and as such a camera in there would be a problem but there has to be a better way. I can say that I HIGHLY recommend this treatment center, they did right by me when they didn't have to and that should tell you all you need to know. Thanks Y'all While I appreciate the service these people provide the experience is not a good one. I was a phase 27 patient for 3 years in the Atlanta area and had to relocate to the Florida panhandle. This was the only clinic that takes my insurance and its a 90 mile drive each way but I figured once a month would be doable...wrong I had to come weekly for 2 months and twice a month for another..I never failed a drug test and they had a 5 plus year history from my previous clinic....as if that wasn't bad enough they stand with you in a tiny bathroom while you pee in a cup this is both humiliating and abusive, every clinic I've been to uses cameras not this one. If you are an established patient I highly recommend you seek other options doctors can now prescribe suboxone that may be a better route for you. I strongly recommend Lakeview update its policies rehab should be easier than maintaining an addiction and here it is not. It's better to help people than to humiliate them addiction is bad enough by itself. Ps I am self admitted nobody made me seek help and the Atlanta clinic healthqwest was wonderful they treated us well and when we made the effort we were rewarded and celebrated milestones. Cameras are cheap these days...get one your patients and your employees deserve it.

There is a lady named Gina that works there. She distains people that are addicted to drugs. She’ll make an appointment for you and cancel it. She will keep canceling it and playing games with you. She is horrible. That is an awful place. Somebody needs to fire that lady she has absolutely no empathy for people who are addicted to drugs
