Being my first time through the "Recovery Process", I will be forever thankful to Plugged-In Recovery. While I did not complete my residential portion here locally at Plugged-In, I did so in Prescott, AZ, where I was referred here from my recovery center as the best place to come home to in Scottsdale, AZ and continue my recovery journey. Wow, how happy I chose to come to Plugged-In Recovery for the PHP/IOP part of the journey. It was at the age of 44, and a successful businessman who thought they could conquer anything who never let anything get in the way of achieving my life goals, then came my biggest obstacle ever, substance abuse, a disease that cant be fixed with a prescription (wouldn't that be nice). After my initial detox/recovery, I was afforded an experience over the summer here at Plugged-In that taught me so much more than just sobriety, with it also came countless life lessons which will help me today and into the future to face not only substance abuse, but skills to understand the importance of emotional regulation, cognitive and dis-cognitive thinking, how to identify and break through the co-dependency behavior of substance abuse, learning its OK with being vulnerable, the clinical insights that cause the abuse and how to identify triggers and coping skills to deal with them, and so much more. I sincerely feel like I was back in school learning so much as I raced through life often not paying attention to some basic signs and prior reactions/behaviors that came along with it. One of the best parts was I was in class with so many others on the same journey, and while not all from the same walk of life, or dealing with the same form of substance abuse issue, we were all there for the common goal of recovery and growth which very much felt like a recovery family. I would be remised if I didn't point out the staff who worked tirelessly, compassionately, and were dedicated to each and every person's circumstances and ultimately willing to tailor the program to each individuals needs. Very HIGH praise to all the staff, specifically to Bri, Director of Outpatient Services, for her professionalism, day to day client advocacy, willingness to listen and help in anyway needed. Additionally to Kevin, my Therapist (unfortunately a Bears fan but that's OK), who listened, understood people, and while a straight shooter, clearly demonstrated each day and session his dedication to each clients recovery journey and was amazing to work with and kept me grounded and on track mentally. Nate, Group Facilitator, and a bright light every morning for check ins and throughout the day for groups, always with a positive attitude, understanding of the hard work it takes to get through the process, and willingness to have a little fun or walk through the building on the mobile Karaoke machine to break up the days. And to James, Operations Analyst, with his passion to teach so much educational knowledge of the brain/body such as the "Polyvagal Nerve" and how to stimulate it and control it which is pretty cool in and of itself (and many more things each week), and always tying his groups educationally into recovery. I could go on and on (and there are many more people I didnt list), but hope this provides a brief overview of my great experience at Plugged-In as each professional was great, caring, understanding, energetic, knowledgeable and certainly there to help along the way with many true life experiences and stories of their recovery journeys which I found very helpful knowing they could relate to the long process ahead of each of us. Thanks again Plugged-In

I am familiar with many Northeast recovery places through personal experience or by vetting them, and I would like to start by saying this place is different in nearly all aspects. Ryan, who is the Administration Director, talked to me when I was about done with every NE place that I talked to. I was in rough shape and he was there for me every step of the way. The intake was seamless (thanks Haley). The property is worthy of a review on its own. The relative freedom they give you (phones, food, etc.) is unmatched in my experience. Then there is the treatment team. I have never felt more cared for in treatment. I could list them all and what they have taught me and done for me (but will run out character count…you know who you are). I will name my therapist, Laura, who is the best therapist I have seen in 42 of my 51 years on this rock. For those struggling…please at least make the call. There is a better way of treating your disease and Plugged In has found a great formula. Heartfelt thanks to all that work for Plugged In Recovery. I have more character count so…thank you Jonah, Bravo, Suzanne, Kevin, Jackie, Santana, Heath, Sam, Juanita, Michael, Lexi, Chef Shannon, and Monica.

Accepted Insurance

Plugged In Recovery works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

12-step icon12-Step

Many addiction recovery centers base their treatment modalities on the 12 step program model, and those in treatment often transition to community-based programs. These programs can also be effective for clients who choose not to enter rehab. Traditionally, 12 step meetings are designed to provide intensive peer support whenever it is needed. In addition to group meetings and peer sponsorship, participants "work the steps" to achieve recovery through a systematic healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.

inpatient iconInpatient

Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for persons in early recovery and those who are exiting detox programs. It's ideal for clients in crisis or at an elevated risk of relapse. Inpatient treatment centers provide housing and meals, allowing clients to focus on their recovery away from distractions and addiction triggers. Clients engage in intensive psychotherapy, and many inpatient programs feature recovery-focused life skills training and/or complementary therapies like meditation, creative arts therapy, and other holistic treatments.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Many clients who enroll in an outpatient rehab program are exiting intensive inpatient care and no longer require such high-level clinical supervision. Outpatient programs typically follow a step-down structure, with treatment frequency and intensity decreasing as clients progress in their recovery journey. Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) levels of care are the most time-intensive and are designed primarily for clients who have just left inpatient treatment or who are at an elevated risk of relapse.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

If you're struggling with adjusting to daily life after inpatient rehab, a sober living home in Arizona may be a good option. These residences offer an in-between option where you can practice the skills you learned in rehab in a structured, drug-free environment. This transition can help you prepare to face the "real world" after treatment. You'll live with others in recovery and follow house rules such as contributing to chores and paying rent.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism and alcohol addiction, is a chronic condition that involves craving alcohol and an inability to control drinking. A person with AUD must drink greater and greater amounts of alcohol to achieve the same effects and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they stop drinking alcohol. Several evidence-based methods are available to treat AUD through alcohol rehab in Arizona. This treatment can occur on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

mental-health iconMental Health And Substance Abuse
opium iconOpioid Addiction

Arizona's substance abuse treatment centers can provide tailored treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Treatment programs may include medically assisted detox, 12-Step recovery, intensive outpatient programs, and aftercare support. Addiction experts employ evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and talk therapy to uncover and reframe unhelpful patterns. By graduation, you'll have developed new coping strategies, learned new stress management techniques, and have the capability of sustaining your recovery.

Programs

program-for-men thumbnail image

Program For Men

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.
program-for-women thumbnail image

Program For Women

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Family therapy involves sessions where members of the family discuss how addiction has affected them individually and collectively. Therapists can guide families in developing coping strategies that help support their loved one's recovery while also focusing on their own emotional health.

Also known as CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy in Arizona is one of the most common types of psychotherapy. It offers a structured method of counseling that effectively treats substance use disorder and dual diagnosis disorders.

Residents of Arizona who are experiencing relationship problems may benefit from couples therapy. This form of psychotherapy helps couples express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and increase intimacy and affection.

equine-therapy iconEquine Therapy

The active interventions of experiential therapy help you cope with past hurts and difficult memories. They allow you to release negative emotions and change your personal interactions. This type of treatment in Arizona can be helpful for drug addiction, compulsive behaviors, and behavioral disorders.

Nutrition therapy helps reduce the discomfort of detox and reduces cravings during drug rehab in Arizona. It helps you navigate nutrition, teaching you how to plan and prepare meals that meet your nutritional needs.

music1 iconSound Therapy

Dialectical behavior therapy in Arizona focuses on acceptance of your reality and behaviors while also attempting to make changes in unhealthy behaviors. It has been shown to be effective for the treatment of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorder.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction includes focused attention on the unique challenges that trigger addictive behavior. During individual therapy sessions, you have a safe space in which to discuss stressors and emotional struggles. Therapy fosters trust and open communication that helps develop personalized strategies to overcome addiction.

In Arizona, group therapy helps promote accountability and motivation for men and women who want to stay committed to addiction recovery. It fosters a sense of community where you can share your progress and learn new coping strategies from your peers.

I can’t say enough good things about this treatment center. From the moment I arrived, I felt supported, cared for, and truly seen as a person—not just a patient. The staff went above and beyond to help me through one of the hardest times in my life, and I’ll forever be grateful for their compassion and guidance. A special shoutout to Dez—your kindness, encouragement, and positive energy made such a difference in my journey. You have a true gift for helping people feel safe, understood, and hopeful again. The environment here is peaceful, the program is well-structured, and the sense of community they foster is life-changing. This place truly gave me a second chance at life, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

PLUGGED IN is truly the best of the best. The staff is exceptional—from admissions to the stay and overall experience. They bring a modern approach to recovery with cold plunges, a fully updated gym, putting greens, red light sauna, IV therapy, and yes—they even let you have your phone! Oh, and I can’t forget to mention…the food is absolutely amazing. I’m endlessly thankful for the entire Plugged In team, with a special shoutout to the founder, Wade, and Executive Director, Dez. Simply the best of the best!

Where do I start...... my daughter was blessed enough to have the staff at Plugged In help her in her recovery. Addiction is a terrible disease that I did not think would ever happen to my family. The staff at Plugged In truly care about every patient and want them all to be successful in their recovery journey. They are kind, compassionate, loving, honest, genuine and hold patients accountable for their actions and behavior(s) but in a loving positive way. The support group for family members is amazing. We all come together with a facilitator from Plugged In (Laura is the bomb!) and help each other navigate the process from, rehab, sober living, PHP, IOP, etc. You can be vulnerable with no judgment. The same love is felt here that is given to our family members who are in recovery. Thank you to Bravo, Laura, Chef Shannon, Monica and all the folks who make Plugged In a safe, healing place for our loved ones.

Response from the owner

Plugged In has the most professional & supportive staff. We are a family that has the disease known as addiction. Yes, addiction is a family disease. Our experience as a family has opened our eyes and hearts to what an important impact Plugged In has been in our son’s life. We can assure you that their team will guide and direct your loved one to a healthier and happier lifestyle. Our son has made remarkable strides and progress over the time he has spent in their program and PHP. Bravo, Monica, Bri have invested their time and energy to guiding our son to become a better part of himself and find his own self worth. He is a work in progress and has done a huge turnaround. We have also had the pleasure to join an online group led by Laura that was insightful and helpful. Thank you all for your support and dedication to our son as a client but also to us as a family.

Response from the owner
Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt words. You’re absolutely right—addiction is a family disease, and we believe healing must include the whole family. It’s been an honor to support not just your son, but your entire family throughout this journey.

We’re so encouraged to hear about the progress your son has made and the turnaround you’ve witnessed. Bravo, Monica, Bri, and Laura will be deeply touched to know their dedication has made such a meaningful impact. Our team is passionate about walking alongside each client with compassion, structure, and belief in what’s possible—and your son's growth is a testament to that.

Thank you for trusting Plugged In Recovery. We’re proud to be part of your story and will continue to be here, every step of the way.

With deep appreciation,
The Plugged In Recovery Team

What can you say about a group of people that offer safe affordable sober living in the nicest houses around? Thank you! Coming from a life of despair and turmoil, and to be welcome with open arms with no judgement and to be accepted, can only be repaid by passing the message to the person who still suffers. These are just a few of the things Plugged In instills in its residents. PLEASE consider living here if you are starting your recovery journey!

Response from the owner
Thank you, Tim, for your thoughtful and encouraging words. We’re proud to provide a safe, welcoming environment where people can begin their recovery without judgment. Your message about paying it forward truly reflects the spirit we aim to foster at Plugged In. Wishing you continued strength on your journey!
