Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

24-hour icon24-Hour Clinical Care

At certain points in the recovery process, it's important to have support available 24/7. 24-hour clinical care offers a safe environment in which to recover from drug or alcohol addiction in peace, knowing medical detox and other treatment will happen with professionals on hand.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Creativity is inherently healing, and can help those in recovery express thoughts or feelings they might not otherwise be able to. Creative arts therapy can include music, poetry/writing, painting, sculpting, dance, theater, sandplay, and more. Unlike traditional art, the final product matters far less than the experience of creation and expression itself.

Experiential therapy is a form of therapy in which clients are encouraged to surface and work through subconscious issues by engaging in real-time experiences. Experiential therapy departs from traditional talk therapy by involving the body, and having clients engage in activities, movements, and physical and emotional expression. This can involve role-play or using props (which can include other people). Experiential therapy can help people process trauma, memories, and emotion quickly, deeply, and in a lasting fashion, leading to substantial and impactful healing.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Nutrition therapy, aka medical nutrition therapy (MNT), is a way of treating physical, emotional, and medical conditions through diet. Specific dietary plans are designed by professional nutritionists or registered dietitians, and patients follow them in order to positively affect their physical and mental health.

I’m very disappointed in this facility, I almost feel 1 star is too much. My husband was recommended to this facility due to the 3 to 1 ratio with therapist & counselors. Day 1 after detox his safe call was made my a random guy who had no information except my husband was in the facility and there was a 48 hour black out period. 5 days later I finally got a call from my husband I was overly excited to hear from him but your calls are monitored on speakerphone with a counselor or a therapist. I had asked him about his intake and his orientation he statedHis orientation was rushed. They gave him no information about the facility the rules anything He didn’t know when store days were when he had to have money in his account for cigarettes personal items anything. They basically cut you off from your family. You don’t have phone time. You’re lucky if you get to make a call once a week he was supposed to meet with his counselor two times a week. His therapist two times a week And those were supposed to be the days that he was allowed to call and talk. He met his therapist once and then for 3 weeks there was no therapist. She just didn’t show up. I told him I wanted him to request a new therapist and they said Yep we’ll get right on it. They never got on it because he never got a new therapist. He never got to see another therapist the time that he was still thereI called the facility multiple times due to him needing his medication and it was extremely important And time sensitive. Not a Single call went through my messages were not getting to the facility or even marked urgent . It was literally the most frustrating thing ever then when I finally got his medication situated, they didn’t wanna go to the pharmacy that I had set the medication up for which that would have only cost me $5. I had to go to their pharmacy which cost me $100 so after three weeks, my husband still doesn’t have a therapist because his therapist just stopped showing up. Without a therapist, then there’s no phone time so he asks one of the workers if he can call me and I didn’t hear my phone ring and he had left me a message and said this is the only time I’m gonna get to call you. They’re not gonna let me use the phone again so I called the facility front desk wherever and tell them I need to speak to my husband. this was the only time that my message went through because my husband ended up being able to call me back four more days go by I don’t hear from him. Then 8-24 He asks to call me again and they tell him you don’t get to call your wife. There’s no phone privileges so he gets frustrated and he says he’s gonna leave, well once he says he’s gonna leave. They’re like oh you can’t leave and then some random lady calls me and tells me that he wants to leave and I tell her everything that has happened in the 3 1/2 weeks he’s been there and the communication or therefore lack of communication, no therapy no therapist no medication no orientation and she literally wanted me to Tell my husband that he can’t come home like don’t let him come home because it was against medical advice. OK no they had him sign a 48 hour waiver and then after 48 hours they just let him go and I said OK. Is anybody going to drive him to the airport? Nope !!!! excuse me. You’re just gonna push him out the front door ? Mind you We’re from Michigan. This is Florida. Unfortunately I now have to wait until Tuesday for him to come home, but I highly recommend going elsewhere as a spouse of an alcoholic, and wanting to be involved with the recovery of my loved one. This is not the place because you will not be involved. They will try to seclude you out of every aspect because they want the patient to focus on Their recovery. I should’ve read the reviews a little better because I’m seeing that this is a repetitive thing right now in this time they make it look beautiful online I don’t know how good it really actually looks, but if I were you, I would go somewhere else or send you a loved one somewhere else

Not sure how good the treatment is, will know more about that when my son gets home from there, but communication is non existent. I’ve called, texted, chatted with the chatbot, still can’t get through to my son. I have no idea if he’s even getting any messages relayed, because no one responds at all. Like we weren’t losing enough sleep already. I did speak to someone the day I had to pay the insurance premium. Nothing since then Update: Their website pics are very misleading. It’s not as nice as those photos by quite a stretch. Some of the counselors were good, but the business end just concerned about your money/insurance, once that’s settled you can’t even get them to answer the phone or reply to emails. Insurance ran out, so he just stayed the one month. But they kept trying to get him to take pills constantly. Drug dealers all around outside the building- if you fail a drug test, welcome to the Florida shuffle! He saw right through that thank goodness. He keeps the coin to remind him he never wants to go there again

They told me they did medical detox for alcohol to get me in the door. that is not the case I ended up having to go to the hospital for my the withdrawals. It’s extremely dangerous to tell a patient that they do medical detox when they actually don’t. I’m surprised they haven’t had someone die there yet that we know of. then after three days when I was ready to leave, they wouldn’t give me back my license to take my flight home to go to a different facility they said I had signed a three day notice for me to leave and get my license back I ended up calling Palm Beach police they couldn’t help me for some reason. These people were holding my possessions and wouldn’t give them back to me. I would not recommend this facility for someone that’s going to do medical detox. my wife was calling because I had two terminally ill parents, and they would not relay any messages to me during that time. These places are for profit, which is understandable but this one takes the cake. I heard management talking about a Grandma selling their house so Their grandson could stay in treatment Because their insurance was gonna run out and he needed to stay longer it comes down to management and ownership and while I’m sure 90% of the staff does care that 10% is just looking for the dollar bills and it ruins it for everybody listening to management it almost sounded like a used car dealership. Were they trying to have you sell everything for treatment so they can make money

If you want to get lost in the Florida Shuffle, this is the spot for you. Don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures online, the facility is run down. Don’t expect any orientation, direction, or support when you arrive on property. Once you’re in, you are cut off from all communication with loved ones, and even though they reassure your family they’ll provide updates, once they have your payment and insurance info, it’s radio silence. TBT isn’t in the business of helping folks get and stay sober, they’re in it for the money.

Our 26 yo daughter is days away from her year anniversary of being set free from alcohol and cocaine among other things thanks to TBT I called 811 and was given this facilitys name The Best Treatment Center. She wanted to get sober, but she went back and forth for about two weeks before we were able to get her to commit since she hit the bottom of the bottom. When I say commit it was still a challenge. I called the facility and reached someone it was a guy he had been through this before he was so instrumental and caring and helping me as a mother of a 26 year old, know, my next steps. I talked to him a couple times as the process went on if I didn't have that reassurance, I don't know if she would have gotten there not to the place, but to be able to accept help. Mark was amazing. He was our second person of contact he held our hand through the beginning. He helped with getting our plane tickets to get her there. The facility called and checked on us every step of the way we had some issues with delays and storms. They kept calling letting us know that they were there. She was in withdraws, she was sick, hurting, shaking one of the worst experiences ever. I called the facility, and they told me what to do to get her to the detox. She went to detox for 2 weeks prior to TBT. Somebody from the TBT met us at the airport and he drove her to detox. He looked like her, he spoke her language he calmed until they got to her detox. Once she got there, she wanted to leave immediately. She found out that the phone was gonna be taken, and she couldn't let that go. She stood outside of the rehab, the phone was a major deal for her. It was the link to the outside she needed to leave. She stood outside for over an hour trying to figure a way but eventually she agreed to go in since she had no options to come home. They talked her into one night. They called me and let me know that she was okay. That she was in her room, and they had brought her dinner. Over the next few hours, things were really quiet until I got a call that she was gonna go to the hospital because she couldn't take it, she thought she would hurt herself. She was scared and trying everything to get out of the rehab. The next morning, early, she called me asking me to call the rehab for them to come get her. She good and bad days where she wanted to leave. She had complaints, eventually she settled. The classes were tough. I can't imagine going through your life and looking at your worst self and dissecting every ugly part. The staff there helped her, they showed her a greater power which she wouldn't accept before she was baptized at TBT w/ 2 of her favorite people holding her hand. She made a full 180. She appreciates things. She sees colors. The light in her eyes are bright and beautiful. She sees the world so differently now. Before she wanted to die she was killing herself. She was ready to die, and she was days away from it she was so bad. Coming out, she wanted to live. She sees things so differently now. I'm not gonna tell you. It was easy. I'm not going to tell you that this year has not had its ups. And downs, it's had a lot but to see where she is now it is worth every tear, every feeling of nausea, everything. She made great friends there. The teachers some she still reaches out to for support and guidance. Ray, Jeneen and Rabbi were huge in her recovery and her finding her way for finding God and understanding there is always hope. These 3 people made such a huge mark on my daughters soul. I wish I could repay these people for everything they said and everything they have done to help my girl want to live and thrive. I wanted the share our experience. Since my daughter was 25 and me having no rights or control. Her actions on trying to quit. Hopefully this give someone hope. This is a wonderful place they gave of themselves going beyond to help people, they only understand. Thank you all so much for everything you all have done. You are angels. Thank you for never giving up on her, challenging her and pushing her. We are forever greatful!

Response from the owner
Thank you so much for sharing your daughter’s journey in such a meaningful way. We know how difficult and emotional those early steps can be—for her and for you as a mother—and it means the world to our team to know we could walk alongside you both during that time. Stories like your daughter’s remind us why we do what we do: to bring hope, healing, and a new way of life. We’re so proud of the strength she’s shown and grateful to hear that the light in her eyes is shining again. Your kind words about our team will be shared with them, and I know they’ll be touched to know the impact they’ve had. Thank you for trusting us, for your resilience as a parent, and for giving others hope by sharing this. We’re cheering for your daughter always and honored to remain a part of her continued journey.
