The staff is rude as hell and the nurses spend all day chatting with their friends while you sit and wait. Candace will pretend to give a shit but she only cares about making this place money not you as a person. Do not trust the staff they are not your friends. They definitely play favorites here. Just do yourself a favor and get off of it. Do NOT come here for detox you will suffer greatly. They take weeks to get you to a dose that will actually help with the detox and by then you have already suffered through it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR DETOX. They don't care how sick you are or that it's not working. The VA send us veterans here and we are treated like dirt. I will be making formal complaints about this place and their practices. Staff is very rude and talks down to clients. I have worked in recovery for 10+ years and I have never seen a place that hates addicts like this place does. Go anywhere else and be treated human they don't deserve your business.

Policy always change, they punish you when the system is broken. The supervisor doesn't even know the rules there. Couldn't tell me Policy. Like who hired this guy?? After being here for 11 years I been thru so many people. Some qualified, most not. I feel very strongly they need better policies. When things continue to change. They never tell you. Then you get punished. Something is wrong there. I'm thinking of switching. #MakeAmericaGreatAgain! #MakeThisPlaceBetter!! To add on to this. This supervisor, he doesn't even have a degree!! They have been treating me as if they are better than me. Don't listen to what I have to say and counterdict what they say policy is. Tell me one thing, then turn around and change it. I was told straight to my face that I'm lying about a certain situation. I'm grown! There's no reason to lie! I just hope things get better. I know it's just a matter of time...... God is on my side! Is he on yours?

Place isn't the worst and isn't the best, but alot better than most other places in Louisville. People get mad because they constantly still get high or get in trouble for taking benzos with their methadone. So they get on here and talk bad. This place has helped me more than anything, now I'm going on 9 months sober from opiates for the first time since I've been an addict from the age of 18.

Levels of Care
Outpatient Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
Medically Assisted Detox Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.
Intensive Outpatient Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Kentucky often starts with detox, then includes inpatient or outpatient treatment, and continues with aftercare support. Specific methods used during each of these phases varies, but often include individual and group counseling, medication, and recreational therapies.

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
LGBTQ Program
Recovery is most successful when clients feel accepted and validated by their peers and treatment providers. Facilities that offer LGBTQ-inclusive programming are committed to creating a safe space where everyone can grow and recover without fear of judgment or discrimination. They will have dedicated policies in place to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters free expression.
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Clinical Services
Cognitive behavioral therapy in Kentucky involves learning to recognize unhealthy thinking patterns and developing problem solving skills to cope with life's challenges. It will help you have greater confidence in your abilities so you can change your patterns of behavior and break free from substance abuse.
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction, the therapist and patient work together to address the challenges and triggers that drive addictive behavior. This offers a customized approach to a healthier, substance free life.
Several techniques are key to motivational interviewing in Kentucky. Your therapist will use open ended questions, affirm your strengths, reflect your responses back to you, and summarize your responses. This allows you to identify any discrepancies in your current situation and your future goals, which can motivate you to make changes.
Trauma therapy provides you with a safe space to work through a trauma that you witnessed or experienced. Trauma informed therapy supports you to understand your emotional and physical responses and develop healthier coping mechanisms when exposed to triggers in the community. This improves your sense of self confidence and empowerment.
Family therapy provides families with a structured environment to address the complexities of addiction. You work with an experienced therapist to develop effective strategies for supporting your loved one's recovery while focusing on the well being of each member of the family unit.
Life skills equip you to obtain and maintain employment, establish healthy relationships, develop a healthy daily routine, manage your finances, and practice self care. Because these are an important part of successful recovery, life skills training should be an integral part of your rehab in Kentucky.
