The techs, nurses, therapists and case managers REALLY care! I have to give a special shout out to the techs that really took time to pour into each client individually. The food is great and if you come there with just the clothes on your back they will make sure you have everything you need and more. NA/AA meetings are brought into the facility multiple times a week and you are given the option to go to an outside meeting every week day after lunch. It’s a smaller facility so I felt like I was taken care of and beyond! The staff truly cares! Thanks for an AMAZING experience! The nurse's peer Coaches and texts i'm like some amazing people there Troy Smith 1 year ago So let me start off by saying I was court ordered to come here & was not happy at first, they have that saying if you don’t want to truly get clean it’ll never happen, well I'm here to prove that’s not true. I didn’t want to be at rehab, but I just took it day by day. The staff is incredibly welcoming & loving and that makes all the difference when trying to get clean. After a few days of detoxing I got Medication-assisted treatment, and started feeling better each day. This is a small rehab so you really get to know the other clients and leave with long term friends and get to know the staff as well - like your therapist for example, so you actually feel comfortable opening up and not just sharing because you have to. I also loved the AA/Na speakers they have come in - I was really able to connect with each speakers stories and they give you hope that if they can stay clean for that long through everything so can we! I also loved the fact they took us to outside AA meetings everyday so we get a chance to just get out and interact with new people. Food is good ( you're almost fed TOO much lol ), techs are nice and nurses are pretty caring. It's just like any other type of hospital, they give you the tools on the inside to help you for when you leave there. The only complaint I have is the downtime there. Sometimes you go an hour or two without doing anything which can feel like an eternity! Other than that, Wellstone isn't all that bad!! They answered all of our questions and made us feel supported throughout the process. The final outcome was very positive for our family. There were moments when we felt confused and unsure about what decisions to make. In other hospitals, we did not receive positive results. However, here at Wellstone, we found an amazing team—caring counselors, therapists, and nurses who treated our family member with compassion and professionalism. The techs, the clinical team, the nurses, the lunch lady’s, the janitors, every single person played a role, whether it was working one on one with them or just a friendly smile passing through! Also, my sober sisters, the bond that was made was amazing & im thankful to still have a lot of them in my life and a part of my recovery journey today! I would also like to add that the facility itself was absolutely beautiful and the outdoor surroundings were incredible. It truly is such a beautiful serene place! I would 10/10 recommend this facility and its program to anyone struggling with addiction. (FULL REVIEW BELOW) The breakdown: Pro's: -Renovated resort on a spacious piece of land that includes a lake patients can fish on, walking trails, a full basketball court, and large open fields for activities -Nearly all direct support staff is in recovery -Food is home-cooked style and every meal includes seconds if wanted -Nicotine products allowed (vapes too) -Guitar, piano, animal therapy (they literally have an Australian Shephard and like 10 chickens to interact with), plant and flower garden patients can contribute to, pickle ball, corn hole. -Large donation room for patients coming with no clothes -Medicaid insurance allowed -Alumni program that includes an app that helps connect all the patients post-discharge Cons (Based on opinion/personal exerience): -My biggest complaint is no PHP/sober living housing being available.
