Hi this is Brandon Burton (05/17/2000) i just wanted to take a min to show my appreciation for CRT Rocky Ford House in Columbus Indiana. I wouldn't be the strong minded person that i am today if it wasn’t for all of their support, help, and guidance. I wanna take this time to show my up most appreciation for each staff member there, because each of them impacted me greatly.
Rachael always took time out of her day to make sure i had everything i needed, made sure i understood what was being taught to me in MRT and IOT, and she ALWAYS had the best classes. She made her classes fun and she explained things in a way that i could understand. She gave me support in every aspect of my life. I know that if i had something going on i could take it to her and she wouldnt go and tell someone else my business, and she would give me the best suggestions possible.
Tacara was amazing as well, she had my back in the program from the jump. She always gave me straight up honest answers, and she always helped me in the spiritual side of my recovery. We talked about God alot and i just really appreciated having a sister in christ there to talk about God with everyday.
Austin was my dude forreal. Ive liked Austin since i met him at the Whitney house when he was the recovery works grant guy. For some reason i was always drawn to Austin, he always gave me straight answers, never sugar coated anything, and didnt judge me for who i am. Not to mention hes funny as heck! I remember going into his office almost everyday just to talk to him and tell him jokes. Lol i hope ur seein this G-Eazy, i appreciate you having my back, and giving me a chance in the program!
Kathy was ALWAYS just the sweetest! She showed me sooo much support when it came to my relationship stuff and she helped us with anything we brought to her attention. Kathy was very nurturing, kind, and treated me like i was her son. I felt a strong family type bond with each and every staff member there i love them all with all my ❤️

Honestly, it's just fine. the reason I am leaving a 2 star review is because I was forced to go to bloomington meadows. Bloomington meadows might be one of the worst mental hospitals in the US, with an abysmal 1.9 star rating (125 reviews).

I spent 10 days here for grief therapy. At times it was a bit unorganized but the staff took the extra step to ensure we had everything wr needed. Since a snow storm came through they had staff that stayed at the center to ensure staff was available the following day. I would recommend to treatment! ❤️❤️❤️

Some, among the homeless, seem to struggle with what The Healing Place helps - anyone, in need, get away from, yet, it's up to an individual to sign-up.
On the other hand, I'm struggling to keep what, little income I'm allowed to have, as housing wants a percentage - no matter how small, & I can't afford any housing agreement.

I had the best experience at turning point center! The techs, nurses, therapists and case managers REALLY care! I have to give a special shout out to the techs that really took time to pour into each client individually. The food is great and if you come there with just the clothes on your back they will make sure you have everything you need and more. NA/AA meetings are brought into the facility multiple times a week and you are given the option to go to an outside meeting every week day after lunch. It’s a smaller facility so I felt like I was taken care of and beyond! The staff truly cares! Thanks for an AMAZING experience!

So let me start off by saying I was court ordered to come here & was not happy at first, they have that saying if you don’t want to truly get clean it’ll never happen, well I'm here to prove that’s not true. I didn’t want to be at rehab, but I just took it day by day. The staff is incredibly welcoming & loving and that makes all the difference when trying to get clean. After a few days of detoxing I got Medication-assisted treatment, and started feeling better each day. This is a small rehab so you really get to know the other clients and leave with long term friends and get to know the staff as well - like your therapist for example, so you actually feel comfortable opening up and not just sharing because you have to. I also loved the AA/Na speakers they have come in - I was really able to connect with each speakers stories and they give you hope that if they can stay clean for that long through everything so can we! I also loved the fact they took us to outside AA meetings everyday so we get a chance to just get out and interact with new people. It was a safe healing place and if you’re needing help this is the place to go ❤️🩹

About five months ago, I began seeing Emily for weekly therapy sessions. At the first appointment she asked me why I was there, i.e. what I needed from therapy and I told her, "I drink too much". I had no idea what was in store for me. Drinking was the tip of the iceberg. It wasn't until this morning that I really took the time to reflect on everything that I've been learning through the hard work of therapy. It took very little time to create a huge list of what I titled, "The Gifts of Therapy". I'll post some of them below for anyone who wants to take the time to read them. It might explain what therapy is about for those who are wondering.
But suffice it to say, therapy is completely revolutionizing my life. I think the most frightening part of the experience is finding a skillful therapist you can trust. I highly recommend Emily at Personal Counseling Services. Without any hyperbole I can honestly say her clinical support and guidance is saving and renewing my life.
I think therapy is still somewhat frowned upon in our society, now that I'm experiencing its benefits I want to sing its praises and do my best to normalize healthy living. I am astonished at all the areas of my life therapy has touched. My list of benefits is below. Remember I showed up to "manage my drinking"! lol.
1. I’m becoming emotionally self-aware granting me the ability to analyze what I am feeling and process why I am feeling it at a given moment.
2. I’m choosing to face childhood traumas with courage instead of denial and dishonesty.
3. I am gaining the ability to identify emotional triggers, which enables me to no longer react in inappropriate ways to common and everyday stressors. Essentially, I don’t misplace my emotional energy and take my feelings out on the wrong person or situation.
4. I am forgiving others who have wronged me. In addition to that, I am forgiving myself for the wrongs I have done against myself and those I love.
5. I am learning to be present with the people I love instead of mentally and emotionally dissociating from them.
6. My purpose, vision, mission, and goals have never been more clear.
7. I am becoming a more patient father and partner.
8. I am learning how and why it is critically important to draw boundaries in relationships.
10. While therapy initially triggered some depression (my therapist prepared me for this) once I pushed past it I acquired a deep personal joy that is only awarded through hard work and personal perseverance. But this joy runs deep and is drawn from a source I never knew existed or had access to.
11. I am sober. I see and understand my connection to alcohol and addictive behavior in a new light. Alcohol is nothing to me. It doesn’t matter, it never did. When I focus on my spiritual and emotional well-being addictions take care of themselves. Addictive behavior is like a deep sleep we enter to escape life. But spiritual/emotional growth is like swimming in a summer pool on a gorgeous sun-splashed afternoon. You don’t think about sleeping when you’re laughing and playing in the pool!
12. I am releasing anger that has been stored inside my heart for a lifetime.
13. I am learning to express my needs in relationships and to provide self-care to myself that I would quickly and readily give to others. Prior to therapy, I was quick and generous with my time and attention. I fed the hungry around me but did not save any “leftovers” for my own needs. I became a spiritual and emotional walking corpse.
14. I have entered a deeper spirituality and found a richer connection to God.
15. Therapy has improved every meaningful relationship in my life and is helping me to eliminate those that are not.

Even when some of us are at our absolute lowest and have lost sight of everything and everyone else…. It’s impossible, even then to lose sight of someone making us feel GENUINELY cared about. This is the best clinic I have been to so far and I've been in treatment for over 10 years. Zylee at the front desk is so rude! Why hire someone in that position with no customer service experience what so ever. She has no care in the world for any of us patients. Just slams the window before even finishing the conversation. Not to mention when I first walk up to the window she just sits and stares at her phone for 5 whole minutes until acknowledging me. Not sure what you guys were thinking with her.
