I am very pleased with the way the director, my counselor, the nurses, and the guards have conducted things with covid19! I appreciate everything they have done to keep us safe! It has been wonderful to get additional take homes! I have been on methadone a long time and often worried what would happen in an event such as natural disaster...it feels good that we are being taken care of! It is also very nice that they are doing everything they can to help us with insurance issues during this time!I am happy about the app too! Thank you.

Have been a patient at Crossroads since July 2019... When I first started there the lady that ran the place didn't know what she was doing and most of the time you had to wait. Then after going there about 6 months the wait times to get dosed was really ridiculous, 2, 3 + hours to dose. Well Now there is someone new running the place for a few years now. He cares about the facility and the patients. The waits times are way down, reasonable wait times, the staff there now is more friendly and the place has been completely remodeled. Looks more like A professional Healthcare facility. The people there treat you like everyone should be treated and not like your just a nobody because you are or were an addict. I don't know where I'd be if it weren't for Crossroads and the staff there. I'm very grateful for the help they've given me to turn my life around and have 5 years Sobriety today because they are here helping me to stay on the Path of Sobriety.

Accepted Insurance

Crossroads of Louisville, KY works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
inpatient iconInpatient
Inpatient rehab is designed primarily for clients exiting detox, those in early recovery, and those in crisis situations that may increase their risk of relapse. Clients reside at the inpatient treatment center for the length of the program, which may range from two weeks to more than 18 months, depending on the program design. Inpatient treatment typically includes 24-hour clinical care and extensive addiction counseling and recovery education using CBT, DBT, RBT, motivational interviewing or other psychotherapeutic approaches.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) specialize in high-level care for clients requiring robust support. This includes those in early recovery, those in crisis, and those stepping down from inpatient care. Clients typically participate in a minimum of nine treatment hours per week, but many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 hours of service weekly. Their primary treatment modalities generally combine psychotherapy and recovery education. Medication assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol and/or opioid recovery is widely available.
12-step icon12-Step
Participants in 12 step programs attend regular group meetings, which are free, anonymous, and open to the public. Most communities offer multiple meetings daily, with specialized formats, including programs for seniors, teens, and families, widely available. 12 step recovery prioritizes participants' spiritual, emotional, and psychological growth and healing to support their sustained sobriety. Participants also receive one-on-one mentoring from a self-selected sponsor as they work through the 12 steps of recovery.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
A sober living home in Kentucky offers many benefits to those in recovery. These drug-free environments allow individuals to distance themselves from situations that would prompt triggers and lead to relapse. Men's and women's sober living also offers 12-step programs, counseling, job placement services, and long-term residence after treatment. During their stay, residents are required to abstain from alcohol and drug use, pay rent, and contribute to household responsibilities.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one’s body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
military-program thumbnail image
Military Program
Serving in the military is both mentally and physically challenging, and can result in trauma that persists even after combat ends. Military programs are tailored to the specific and often complex needs of active duty personnel, veterans, and military families. Clients often access these programs through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Clinical Services

Men and women in Kentucky participating in group therapy learn to express their feelings and struggles with drug addiction in a non judgmental atmosphere. Your peers can offer you empathy and encouragement because they understand your journey to recovery. This fosters a sense of community and belonging that may extend far after group therapy sessions.

In individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction, the therapist and patient work together to address the challenges and triggers that drive addictive behavior. This offers a customized approach to a healthier, substance free life.

Several techniques are key to motivational interviewing in Kentucky. Your therapist will use open ended questions, affirm your strengths, reflect your responses back to you, and summarize your responses. This allows you to identify any discrepancies in your current situation and your future goals, which can motivate you to make changes.

Trauma therapy provides you with a safe space to work through a trauma that you witnessed or experienced. Trauma informed therapy supports you to understand your emotional and physical responses and develop healthier coping mechanisms when exposed to triggers in the community. This improves your sense of self confidence and empowerment.

As you begin couples therapy in Kentucky, you'll outline the goals for therapy. Your therapist will then arrange to meet with you in weekly joint sessions and, in some cases, individual sessions. You'll receive homework assignments to practice each week between sessions that will help you reach your goals.

Family therapy provides families with a structured environment to address the complexities of addiction. You work with an experienced therapist to develop effective strategies for supporting your loved one's recovery while focusing on the well being of each member of the family unit.

The place is looking better and better. Great place love the front desk lady. She makes my day better. Along with the happiness of all the people. Love how they are so excited each day and on team day they wear teams clothing and some of them do amazing and dress up nice and supportive of their team.also there is one individual that’s been there a long time and she has to do a lot of work and she is on top of it. She knows what she is doing and gets it done. She now works the front desk again and I want to thank her for being such a great person. C. She knows who she is.

I love the counselors here.. And of course the "brains" of the place, Ms. Candace... I mean she's simply AMAZING. If she can't do it (help), u don't need it! And the "brawn" ,Craig, the director. He went above and beyond to keep me n treatment. Not to mention to help me with my medication, even after my insurance lapsed. These people really care! They're the best in the biz. Josh my counselor, was also instrumental!! How easy to talk 2 him!! Luv these guys. Thanks.

The counselors have not walked through what we all have gone through nor do they feel like talking to you all the good ones have left as of all the nurses I would only give this place maybe one star. I call up there today when they are supposed to be open and no one answers at all or you get hung up on. I have messaged my counselor 3 different times and haven't heard anything back from her on whether or not the clinic is going to be open Wednesday with all the snow moving in

They have got alot better since Craig is the boss man he really is the only reason i still believe in treatment center like this and the nurses and most of the counselors are really great people but sometimes you well see the employees argue well I did at least I seen the lady who checks us in and Kiara the best counselor in the world get in a disagreement because the lady who works the window got smart with her so she left witch Definitely hurt alot of people because we didn't have are counselor anymore honestly if you can stop getting high without getting on methadone please do it because I haven't seen one person dose down and leave methadone and I've been there since 2018 but if you can't it's okay I couldn't just quit getting high without help either its way better then having to get up everyday and call people then have to go out to get the money to get high and 10 mins later do the same thing over again so if you need help getting away from drugs I definitely would recommend coming to crossroads treatment I have been clean for years now because of crossroads
