8.35 / 10 | Robert Alexander Center For Recovery is a luxury treatment facility located in Mount Washington, Kentucky. They provide services to men, women, college students, professionals, and they are LGBTQIA friendly. Levels of care available here include detox, residential treatment, a partial hospitalization program (PHP), an intensive outpatient program ( | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I’ve had the pleasure of working with Brittany Moody at the Robert Alexander Center, and she has been phenomenal to work with. Great treatment experience with knowledgeable staff and nurses. (They had me write this at the end of my stay as a client. They did not tell me to write this specifically however the staff watched as I typed. I was given a phone to place a review on their page as part of my discharge. EVERY client is asked to do this as it exponentially increases their chances of good reviews and gives them digital visibility (very clever). It’s definitely the nicest rehab in KY but when I needed help the most…) BEWARE unless you pay 30k or have commercial insurance you cannot be seen. No riff raff allowed. If you want to get sober go to the Healing Place. They allow mental health meds and MAT now if you need it. There are varying program lengths and housing options depending on your situation. They will love you back to life and you can gain humility! (Core principle of a 12 step program they teach.) The healing place is free and I know many people lost their coverage this year due to the political climate. I would not recommend RAC. KY has some great treatment centers and 99.9% of the time treatment AND sober living is necessary but treatment doesn’t keep you sober. Nor will a 30k massage and great kitchen staff - which they are - if you are gonna drop that much money I would go to Cumberland Heights or the Bluffs. QUALITY healthcare services should be accessible to everyone. Not just the rich and you shouldn’t have to go into debt. This is life and unfortunately death. But hey, what do I know? Sobriety is possible! Keep going! #happyjoyousfree #edit

Mount Washington, KY | Robert Alexander Center for Recovery is an addiction treatment center in Mount Washington, Kentucky and part of the Impact Wellness Network. This brand new campus offers a full continuum of care from medical detox and residential inpatient treatment to outpatient care and aftercare. Clients often describe the caring staff and supportive community w | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Five years ago, I entered RAC in very poor health and at one of the lowest points of my life. I had cirrhosis, a blood disorder, needed multiple surgeries, and honestly wasn’t sure what my future looked like. I was given the incredible gift of traveling from my home in New Jersey to Kentucky for a 28-day stay at RAC.
At 60 years old, I was the oldest woman there, and I worried I’d feel out of place. Instead, I found compassion, acceptance, and support. The staff and fellow patients were truly pivotal to my success in rehab.
The facility was clean, comfortable, and most importantly, I felt safe — something that was essential for my healing. And the food? Let’s just say I actually gained weight! The chef and kitchen team were amazing. We had guest speakers, outside meetings, movies, and educational lectures in the media room. I was even cared for with massages and time in the hot tub. I wasn’t treated like a “down and out drunk” — I was treated with dignity, kindness, and respect.
The counselors and therapists worked tirelessly with us and consistently carried a message of genuine hope and recovery. I gave it everything I had while I was there, and when I left, I continued to work my program with the same commitment.
Since then, I’ve had eight surgeries, lost 125 pounds, exercise every day, attend meetings almost daily, and dedicate myself to service work. Those things keep me close to my Higher Power and grounded in my sobriety.
There truly aren’t words big enough to describe how RAC changed my life. I am eternally grateful. Today, my liver is stable, my life is full of purpose, and most importantly, I have hope again.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏❤️

I would recommend this place for sure especially their PHP program, it was my very first time coming here and to be honest i was very nervous and scared but it was actually a lot more welcoming than i thought and i think theres alot of good people here, and alot of people that help, especially the therapists, ive done 3 full months as a teen and i would say it was definitely a life changing experience and i made so many connections and friends, and i just took so much from this place, and i learned so much about myself as well, 100% recommend PHP and their IOP program.

Louisville, KY | The Healing Place Women and Children’s Campus is located in Louisville, Kentucky, and provides a positive and enriching environment for women seeking recovery treatment for a drug or alcohol use disorder. The Healing Place, from when it was on Broadway, always made space for us, the homeless. I will have 20yrs, among the homeless, 2026, & I, continue, to be blessed by the discipline, & "No B.S.!" practices.
Some, among the homeless, seem to struggle with what The Healing Place helps - anyone, in need, get away from, yet, it's up to an individual to sign-up.
On the other hand, I'm struggling to keep what, little income I'm allowed to have, as housing wants a percentage - no matter how small, & I can't afford any housing agreement.
The Healing Place give us space to figure things out...in a safe space. Thank you. 🙏🏿☺️
As of 8/3/2026, I'm adding the following, & hope we get the help we need, please.
🚨RIDES NEEDED: SupportOurNeighbors@The Healing Place 🚨
The Healing Place does incredible work accommodating homeless women and providing a safe haven for recovery. But recent T.A.R.C. transit cutbacks have added a massive hurdle.
Many women arriving at the shelter carry everything they own in heavy luggage. Dragging bags over miles of concrete causes real, crippling physical toll—and walking long distances to distant bus stops just to reach essential meetings, appointments, and meals is becoming nearly impossible.
The Healing Place does so much, but they can’t fix transit gaps alone. We are asking the wider community to step up and help further that mission!
How You Can Help:
Volunteer Driver: Offer periodic or scheduled rides to help transport women and their belongings to vital recovery meetings.
Church & Organization Partnerships: Help us coordinate van pickups, similar to traditional church outreach networks.
Share This Post: Spread the word to local volunteer groups, community networks, and faith communities.
If you or your organization can help provide transportation relief, please reply directly to this post or send a DM!

The Brook has always been so good to me, and I’m incredibly grateful for my experience there! Chandra was absolutely phenomenal. She has such a special way of making you feel welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. You can tell that she truly cares about her people and the work she does.
I also had such an amazing experience with Brenna, Janice, and Ms. Tene. They are truly some of the sweetest, most genuine human beings I’ve ever met. Being in group with them meant more to me than they probably even realize. I’ll forever be grateful for the support, kindness, laughs, and memories we shared. The Brook and the people I met there will always hold a special place in my heart! ❤️

The techs, nurses, therapists and case managers REALLY care! I have to give a special shout out to the techs that really took time to pour into each client individually. The food is great and if you come there with just the clothes on your back they will make sure you have everything you need and more. NA/AA meetings are brought into the facility multiple times a week and you are given the option to go to an outside meeting every week day after lunch. It’s a smaller facility so I felt like I was taken care of and beyond! The staff truly cares! Thanks for an AMAZING experience!

So let me start off by saying I was court ordered to come here & was not happy at first, they have that saying if you don’t want to truly get clean it’ll never happen, well I'm here to prove that’s not true. I didn’t want to be at rehab, but I just took it day by day. The staff is incredibly welcoming & loving and that makes all the difference when trying to get clean. After a few days of detoxing I got Medication-assisted treatment, and started feeling better each day. This is a small rehab so you really get to know the other clients and leave with long term friends and get to know the staff as well - like your therapist for example, so you actually feel comfortable opening up and not just sharing because you have to. I also loved the AA/Na speakers they have come in - I was really able to connect with each speakers stories and they give you hope that if they can stay clean for that long through everything so can we! I also loved the fact they took us to outside AA meetings everyday so we get a chance to just get out and interact with new people. It was a safe healing place and if you’re needing help this is the place to go ❤️🩹
