About Fairview Health Services – 99th Avenue N.

M Health Fairview Clinics and Surgery Center is located in Maple Grove, Minnesota. They have outpatient programs for adults’ behavioral health and mental health issues. There’s also a specific track for seniors.

Their outpatient programs vary, depending on your needs. The most extensive is a day program, which requires three hours per day for three days a week for 12 weeks. Here, you’ll meet with psychologists on an individual basis to learn new life skills and find ways to cope without resorting to substance abuse. Transcranial stimulation is also available, if you aren’t very responsive to meds or counseling.

Other outpatient programs give you more flexibility and freedom to schedule your sessions. There are options for family conferencing, group therapy, and adolescent programs for children aged 13 and older.

M Health can also coordinate your care with other departments to manage any chronic pain. You can access physical therapy and nutritional classes to improve your health along with your behavioral needs.

Patients beware of M Health Fairview!! Before scheduling even the most minor office visit, make sure you become highly trained in the M Health Fairview billing practices. If not, you will certainly get some surprises, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.I was there last fall for a surgery, which M Health made a ton of money on. All followup visits were to be included with the surgery. However, the final office visit was not covered because the nurse who scheduled it, made the appointment 2 past the 90 day limit. No one informed me that they count the days globally, and no one informed me that there was even a time limit. I have filed a dispute which fell on deaf ears. Apparently, patients need to be billing experts on every detail.I'm taking ALL future medical business elsewhere and just don't want other people falling into these types (or similar) of practices.

I had an acute symptom requiring treatment. From start to finish my medical appointment was met with professional and skilled RNs and PA. Thank you for providing safe, timely and effective care. My symptoms are relieved, and I had a good experience here.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a modified form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a treatment designed to help people understand and ultimately affect the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. DBT is often used for individuals who struggle with self-harm behaviors, such as self-mutilation (cutting) and suicidal thoughts, urges, or attempts. It has been proven clinically effective for those who struggle with out-of-control emotions and mental health illnesses like Borderline Personality Disorder.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Trauma therapy addresses traumatic incidents from a client's past that are likely affecting their present-day experience. Trauma is often one of the primary triggers and potential causes of addiction, and can stem from child sexual abuse, domestic violence, having a parent with a mental illness, losing one or both parents at a young age, teenage or adult sexual assault, or any number of other factors. The purpose of trauma therapy is to allow a patient to process trauma and move through and past it, with the help of trained and compassionate mental health professionals.

Keep an eye on your belongings at all times, especially in the radiology department. If you can’t do that avoid bringing anything of value such as a smartwatch. I have screenshots with timestamps that they had my watch after I had to have my quarterly CT scan, but they just said they couldn’t find it and they’d let me know if they did. Guess what? I never heard back. Medical bills are outrageous enough without having to spend the money to replace devices after you leave. Yes, I did contact them but because I didn’t have time to return a phone call after asking them to communicate via email they sent me a letter that can be summarized by saying “too bad, so sad”. I hope every single one of the people I had to deal with has to go through my experiences. I really really do.

There is one Dr I am sorry to have to leave here, but she is not worth putting up with the shady practices of the financial dept. I am currently owing over $1000 that my insurance company said they WOULD DEFINITELY PAY if Fairview would recode the procedure. Fairview REFUSED. I had few options and attempted to pay my bill with Care credit, which is simply a credit card allowing no interest for the first year, and is accepted nearly everywhere. Not here though. It is as if these people don’t actually want to be paid, they just want to put more brick walls in front of their patients. That, of course, is why I am no longer their patient. People going through frightening medical issues do not need to be pushed financially for absolutely no reason. I do not understand why they choose to cause more stress to their patients. I’m done with them.

100% recommended. I have been going for the last 5 years for my daughters and I. Everyone always treats you kindly despite the fact that they are so busy. It's nice that you can access MyChart, and you always get a response in a timely manner. Schedulers, check-in, nurses, and doctors are always very kind and efficient. There is plenty of parking, and it’s right off highway 494.

The Rhinoplasty doctor destroyed my mother's nasal canal today during a routine polyp removal. She is in a lot of pain post surgery. The doctor said her bone was too thick and was going to abort the surgery but decided not to based off of "a doctor blog in seatle" and now her nose will not stop bleeding and she can't stop crying in pain.
