Medicaid, Medicare, and all private insurance plans are accepted. The center is certified by the state of Illinois.
Medication Assisted Treatment
The center treats ADHD, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring substance use disorders. You may be prescribed medication the doctor feels is necessary for your diagnoses. The doctor will use your history and current medications to determine the best prescriptions for you.
Many of those who have a substance use disorder are self medicating because of mental illness such as depression, anxiety, or ADHD. With proper medications and treatment, these illnesses can be treated without the use of substances.
Alternate Therapy Methods
In addition to counseling and medication, the center will teach you other ways to enhance your mental health. Some methods are well known such as exercise, healthy eating, and getting enough sleep. Other methods include meditation, yoga, light therapy, aroma therapy, and massage.
New clients can be seen within two to three days. The doctor is known to give up part of his lunch or stay over to meet with existing clients who have urgent needs. Dr. D has been rated highly by current clients in the categories of examination thoroughness, ability to answer questions, and providing instruction that is understandable by patients.
