This place changed my life.. I’ve been in many treatment centers before in the last few years, but the community and structure here is unlike anywhere else - the staff and recovering addicts that come in and out of here, the building and activities that we get to participate in, are all amazing and beautiful.

While being at RCA I met people who genuinely cared about me getting well. I was a little skeptical at first that what I was experiencing was real, but throughout my stay I found that these people genuinely cared. With their help I learned that the only way that I was going to stay well is by connecting with others who are serious about recovery and by participating in my own recovery. I am sober today because RCA was there for me then and is there for me now via Alumni meetings and events. I want to thank all the staff for their professionalism, genuine care and for just being there when I needed help.

This facility is just amazing! Truly felt like everyone cared about me, and I can honestly say I trusted everyone in there. Trust is very hard for me, but the adult program and the staff allowed me to be myself with no judgement. I'm trying so hard to follow the rules and not name any staff but will give a broad review. Right when you walk in the staff is friendly, always smiling which in turn made me smile. The supervisor is amazing; the head of the counselors who leads the group therapy is one of the best people I ever met. The staff that lead the groups cared about me, and it was genuine, and they are so smart and fun. From the psychiatrist to my therapist everyone was on the same page. I just want to say thank you to everyone there from the bottom of my heart!

When I first came to Care Addiction Center, I’ll be honest, I arrived pretty much kicking, screaming and non compliant. I was in a very dark place, but what I found was an organization filled with people who truly care from my counslers Alice and Tori, to my fellow Group members . From the moment I walked in, everyone was accepting, kind, and understanding.
Even when circumstances were working against me, like my insurance trying to force me to go elsewhere despite the clear progress I was making, the staff never gave up on me. Matt, who is genuinely dedicated to helping people heal, reassured me not to worry and even offered me a scholarship to continue. His only concern was that I continued to get better.
The compassion and support I experienced at Care made all the difference, and I am deeply grateful. The care addiction center is a Life changing, Life saving orginization.

I stayed in Crisis Residential for a month (I got an extended week) and I learned so much and had SUCH a great time, I HIGHLY recommend this place if you're in need of a timeout. Lots and lots of groups, very well structured, the rules are really easy to understand and follow, and the staff genuinely cares about how you're feeling during your stay as well. You get to see your psychiatrist once a week to make sure your medication is helping, and the psychiatrists they have on staff are wonderful, as well as your therapist and if you're in the substance abuse program, they're kind too, from what I've heard.
Once again, thank you Ecker, for helping me learn to manage my anxiety and various other symptoms. You've done a great job for a lot of people! 10/5 stars!

SAVING LIVES, 24/7, 365. I never expected in my wildest dreams to discover such a unique and outstanding program in an unassuming building in the suburbs of Chicago. They're genuinely innovative and there's a subtle but real magic to the place. At the end of the day, Lighthouse is a collection of extraordinary people. Most notably, Nate Lanthrum, the founder and clinical director. He's assembled the most passionate, effective and dedicated team imaginable.
For those directly effected by substance abuse including the families and loved ones, you could not be more fortunate to have Lighthouse as a resource at your disposal. In terms of quality, Lighthouse is in a category of its own. It's far better than the best of the best programs I've encountered. It may not have the luxurious offerings of a facility like "Promises" in Malibu but it certainly makes up for the lack superficial luxuries with substance, authenticity and effectiveness 1,000 fold..
Lighthouse offers something money cannot buy; people who for whatever reason care about you and your loved ones. All treatment plans are customized to each individual that walks through the door. It's a fundamentally different approach to the recovery process. It's not a static program either because Nate makes sure to stay up-to-date with the latest treatment methods and he'll incorporate something if it works.
Everyone that works at Lighthouse is of the highest quality and character. The key players off the top of my head are Nate, Dr Steve Holtsford (the "House" Addiction Medicine Expert), Marty who handles intake and paperwork, Dominic (Task Master and human whisperer) and last; the greatest psychotherapist working in the field, Rehna Becker (mother nature's improvement on Carl Jung). I do not have enough superlatives for Nate. He is the best of men. Steve is an emergency room doctor and a brilliant addiction medicine specialist. Marty has to focus on the business side of the operation to ensure the doors stay open. He's an honest guy and hard-working guy doing a thankless and unglamorous job. Dominic fulfills so many roles it's impossible to pigeonhole him but he's a walking blessing. He's much better read than most Nobel laureates, never complains, and will likely be your most consistent point of contact (he's a fixer and a closer, a gentleman and scholar). Rehna is some kind of sorceress. The things she does by intuition cannot be taught. Then there's Emily Mohls who handles psychiatric issues with an ocean of compassion while staying up to the minute with the most revolutionary treatments.
Altogether, this group is the "Seal Team 6" of recovery. As a business and as a treatment facility they exemplify the best of human virtue and character. They treat each person who walks through their doors with the dignity and respect they deserve. You could search the world over for a better team, a more "advanced" or "cutting edge" program, even a different paradigm but as someone who tried everything else, and I do mean EVERYTHING, you won't find it. If you do, let me know. I'm posting this under my real name. I'm too grateful to be proud.

I am surprised to see so many one stars, I have been to MANY treatment centers, and this one 3 times! This is my absolute favorite. The nurses make it so comfortable and genuinely care about all the patients. The groups and who run them are all very informed on what they are talking about and they keep my attention! I love how they have NA or AA members from the outside come to chair meetings for us on the weeknights. They are all also alumnis from this program! I think that shows this place is good. Also, the food is awesome! For me, I came from jail so it was HUGE step up but I still always enjoy it. We get to chose off of a menu what we want to eat for each day. Another perk, they take you out for cigarettes through the day, AND they take everyone (that is out of detox) bowling every or every other wednesday. I have nothing bad to say about this place!

I went through detox at another facility. Researched for facility to do 28 day IOP. Was blessed that I found keys to recovery. Wonderful program, staff that understands and cares. I just reached 18 months of sobriety thanks to Keys and am actively involved in helping others. I still keep in touch with my IOP counselor from Keys as I will be forever grateful for the path she/they have laid down for me to follow. The key thing to recovery is, YOU have to want it. If you want what we have, follow the steps offered to you. I am blessed and forever grateful that I found Keys to Recovery and applied what I was taught. If you are reading this and need help, I wish you the best.

My dad was brought here for continued care, and I can confidently say this is the best LTACH we’ve experienced. Most of the employees here are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff overall are truly GREAT!
Starting with the 3rd floor Nursing Manager, Joshua — an exceptional leader. He is understanding, a great listener, and was consistently supportive. He made a difficult time so much more bearable for our entire family. We are truly grateful for his presence and professionalism.
A big thanks also goes to the night-shift Nurse Supervisor, Chris, who was equally outstanding and always on top of things.
The nursing team deserves major recognition as well. Sylvia is top tier, and Andrea, Brigitte, Fidaa, Bosky, Jennifer, Dorian, Ritchie, Rincy, and Agaa were all excellent and deeply caring throughout.
Respiratory Tech Joby stood out for his professionalism and kindness, along with team members like Vikram, Mercy, Billy, Benzie, and Anna. Unfortunately, I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 due to one very poor experience with a tech named Sheena, which did affect our overall impression of the respiratory department.
I also want to commend the wonderful security team at the main entrance — Fedle, Bob, and Jerry were always warm and helpful. Special shoutout to Jasimine for her positive attitude.
There are many more staff members whose names I can’t recall, but they all contributed to a truly positive experience. If you’re considering this facility for a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend it. You can bring your family member here with peace of mind knowing they’ll be well cared for.

Greg Ammon, Vincent Donlon, and the instructors who delivered the lessons were once part of my support network. I cherished their guidance and gained significant knowledge from them. I had just gave birth to a Beautiful baby girl!!! In the time of our homelessness, the shelter we were staying at refered me to them!! I called them and made appointment. When the time came I went to the appointment and they were so sweet, understanding, and very resourceful!!!. I was amazed, and happy!!! First off, it's a blessing itself to have a facility FREE OF CHARGE!!! They help step by step, to get your life in order and back together again!!!♥️ Nicasa has truly been a blessing to us, and always will be!!! We are still with them still this day!!! Ms. Cindy is 1 of the few and rare woman I have ever met. This woman was a Huge BLESSING!!!! THE THINGS SHE DID FOR ME WAS RARE!!! I am so grateful for Nicasa and the incredible support I received from their team. With the guidance of my caseworker, Ms. Darlene, I was able to make real progress in my life. She not only encouraged me to continue my education, but also helped me get my driver’s license and supported me through the process of having my background expunged. Because of her kindness, professionalism, and dedication, I have been able to put my life back together in ways I never thought possible.
I also want to recognize her supervisor, Ms. Sindey, whose support and understanding made a huge difference. Both of them carry a genuine heart for the community and give their time, energy, and compassion to help families across Lake County.

The staff are super nice , courteous and professional. This place saved my life. This is one of the VERY few places that understands me he struggle because many people that work there went thru the same thing. That is so transformative to have someone that went thru what you are going thru and because of that they know how best to help. One other uniquely wonderful part of this program is that they don’t try to rush you through treatment I tried a lot of doctors that would help get me to a stable point and then say ok let’s start taking away those supporting elements of your treatment now like cutting down your scripts when your not ready and on the other side of the equation they don’t over medicate either. One of my favorite doctors there told me it’s your journey tell me how I can get you there.

My relative went to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL to detox from alcohol. He was on the Behavioral Health Psych Inpatient Adult Unit. The Licensed Social Worker gave my relative individual counseling on alcohol abuse, provided group therapy on substance use, and facilitated a family session to educate the entire family on addiction and alcohol abuse. The Licensed Social Worker referred my relative to a residential substance abuse treatment facility and AA (12 Step Program). My relative has been sober for an entire year! My dad went to Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin, IL and was on the Inpatient Adult Psych Behavioral Health Unit to detox from alcohol. The Licensed Clinician / Social Worker provided individual counseling, group therapy, and a family session on alcohol and drug abuse during his stay. She referred my dad to a residential substance abuse treatment (Gateway) and provided him information on Alcohol Anonymous (12 step Program). Now my dad has been sober for 1 year. I would like to thank Claudia at CST Counseling for her genuine help in guiding me to find the correct resource. I had called a few days ago seeking a service that this practice doesn't offer. Claudia was able to clarify what type of service I was looking for and provided at least 5 different referrals for places that do offer this service. CST was actually the 3rd place I called looking for this service. The other practices simply said they didn't offer it and that was that. I sensed a care here for clients that you can feel immediately when you talk to them. She could have said they don't offer the service like the others, but her willingness to find other places that do really touched me and sincerely helped me to find the right service. It's all in the name "Recovery home". . Rosecrance recovery home is one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. Woodstock is one of the cleanest buildings I've ever been in. If staying sober is your goal, this place is second to none. There may be a lot of rules but nothing out of control. The rules are quite simple by comparison to having a lifestyle that was out of control. Everybody here is very helpful as far as the staff goes. Woodstock recovery home is run by caring attentive staff. The homes are beautiful and kept nice and clean. Anyone looking to establish a network of good people in the sober community should consider this program.
