My father has been at Haven for almost three weeks and I leave messages to have the social worker call me for updates on his progress and no one ever returns my calls. He calls me on the cell phone and asks when he can be released and I'm trying to get a hold of the social worker and leave messages and no response. This is the worst place to leave to your loved ones when there is absolutely no communication. He also fell down while trying to use the restroom and my sister had to find out from the nurse and was told that there was no incident report taken. He had marks on his knuckles and it was bloody and now it's scabbed over. His dentures were lost and no one seems be able to find them and now he has to eat puree food. This is so disgusting and I am so upset and made a huge mistake to have him transferred to this facility. Maybe I should involve the news on how patients are treated in this facility.

They are very short staffed. Lack of communication. My Dad literally has to wait a long time to get anything done. I m just not happy I would prefer for him to be somewhere else. They lost his dentures. One of the nurses found them on the bathroom floor and it s like I found out the day after that he fell not happy just like his dentures. He knows how long they ve been missing. There s not enough staff, especially the nursing aids. They need to be more attentive to their patients needs. Just because they write for five stars doesn t mean they re the best. My biggest regret is sending him there

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Good facility, garbage D.O.N. my mom had a stroke 3 days before she came here, I stayed with her in the hospital and had to leave the day after she was brought into the rehab. I tried to stay the single night with here since I would be going out of state the next day. HUGE ISSUE SOMEHOW. On top of that the written guest policy specifically states that there aren't required visiting times. Apparently thats just a bold faced lie I was told at 8pm everyone has to leave period. We came in after 9pm so most people had gone home and they literally came into the room at 230am to tell me I had to sit outside until the morning. Are you serious!?!?! Im gonna be here 7 hours total overnight doing nothing but comforting my mother until i have to leave why is this an issue. Maybe fix your policies so when people see the document they aren't being LIED TO.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Dillon, we’ve noted your concerns about the overnight guest policy and your experience trying to stay with your mom during such a critical time. We understand how frustrating it must’ve felt to be asked to leave after hours of supporting her. Your feedback about the timing of communication and the clarity of the written policy has been shared with leadership at Haven Health Tucson. We’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please reach out to us at feedback@havenhealthaz.com.

My grandfather was here and received exceptional care. The staff went out of their way to offer care that was above and beyond. CNA Linda and Nurse Amy paid very close attention to his needs and Dr. Jatoi paid close attention to his medical status and had excellent bedside manner. RT Lek and CNA Amy also made him feel extremely comfortable during his stay. Therapists Georgia and Christina provided therapy catered to his specific needs and cared for him like he was family. My grandfather had a remarkable experience at Haven of Tucson. If any of my family is in need of rehab in the future, I will not hesitate to send then to Haven.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
We're happy to hear we helped your loved one thrive, Deidre. Haven Health has always believed our residents should feel comfortable and empowered for a successful recovery.

Worst food I've ever eaten in my life. Physical therapist do not know how to help someone with MS. I can not eat the food here. When I ask for specific food, I never get what I ask for. They say they have choices but never offer them to me. This place sucks.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Gary, we’re sorry this has been your experience at Haven Health Tucson. We’ve noted your concerns about the food options, communication around meal choices, and your observations regarding support for MS during therapy. We understand how frustrating it can be when your needs don’t feel heard or met. We’d appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly. Please reach out to us at feedback@havenhealthaz.com so we can follow up with you.

I was warehoused here for 5 days before leaving. I don't know where this 4 star rating comes from but if I could give them 0 stars, I would. Substandard in every way.

I recently returned home after a two month stay at Haven in Tucson. I suffered from a knee surgery which required a serious amount of physical therapy to regain use of my leg. The PT dept is my opinion was excellent. Christina was wonderful along with Georgia and Carolyn. Amy with the nursing staff was very kind and caring. John and Stephanie also deserve mention for great care. Honestly out of a bad experience of the injury, this was a fantastic facility and I would strongly suggest this facility to anyone in need. In addition they have called me each week since leaving the facility to see how I am coming along. I hope I never have to do rehab again, but if I do, this would be my top choice.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Thank you for such positive feedback, David! It's good to know our dedication to providing excellent rehabilitation services is still on track. Wishing you the best as you continue your recovery.
