I was looking for something clean and focused, and that’s mostly what I found, even though I wasn’t sure at first how it would feel in practice. The approach was direct and didn’t waste time, which I appreciated more than anything elaborate. Expectations were clear, and follow through stayed consistent, even on days when my own energy was low.I stabilized faster than I expected, not because anything dramatic happened, but because the basics were handled well. I left with a simple plan that actually made sense to me, without feeling overloaded. It did what it needed to do, and didn’t try to be more than that, which in the end is exactly what I was looking for.

YS Recovery was impressively organized from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the intake coordinator who clearly explained every step of the process. My schedule included individual therapy, group sessions, and wellness activities, all thoughtfully timed throughout the day. Each staff member had a defined role—therapists, medical professionals, and support staff collaborated seamlessly to ensure smooth transitions between sessions. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable common areas and private spaces for reflection. I appreciated the structured environment, which made it easy to focus on recovery and track progress daily. Everything ran like clockwork, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for healing...

Cottonwood Tucson is a CARF accredited substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment center in Tucson, Arizona. The center embraces a holistic philosophy and strives to treat the body, mind and spirit through exercise, nutrition and spirituality. They treat adult men and women and offer specialty programs for first responders and veterans.
After interviewing several facilities in and around Arizona, our family chose Cottonwood. They are strong in treatment of both mental health and substance use issues. Meredith Cohen as a primary therapist was particularly helpful for us, as was Sallie who utilizes EMDR/NARM modalities to therapy. Their support staff is educated, kind, and attentive. Cottonwood also emphasized the importance of the patient working to build their support system and truly be immersed in the community while receiving treatment. We highly recommend Cottonwood.

Sierra Tucson is a place of refuge and healing. I came here in February 2026. I worked hard with my professional team, using them and my process group, to unhinge the deep core of trauma that created such sadness, depression, and anxiety. It felt so freeing to heal here and unexplainable peace enveloped me. The problem was that my professional team did not believe I was ready to go home. Despite their advice, I returned home, thinking I could handle things. I thought my own team of professionals could prevent me from disaster. I was wrong. At the beginning of May, I knew I needed to return to Sierra Tucson. Today, at the beginning of June I am able to return home with my team of professionals’ blessing. In addition, I could not have done this without the help and support of my process group, I am leaving again, but this time I know my hard and painful work is done. I can leave proud of the person I have become—or actually the person I was so very long ago. Thank you, Sierra Tucson, for saving my life not once, but twice. ❤️

I'm alive and doing well! just wanted to say hi to everyone here! you are all so awesome, i wish i could say hi and see how your all doing! i think about each one of you and how you gave your time and heart to me and others! i know its tough dealing with people like me and i want to say im super grateful for you.... i wish i could say hi to a specific a few but i dont want to leave anyone out. just know im so grateful for everyone of you. I also wanted to say to everyone else that was here with me...I am really grateful for you too! more than you probably will ever know. Of All the Stars and Planets in the universe, you are all like them to me. Like memories that cant be seen, it is the most important thing to me...why you would choose to truly save others can only mean one thing, that you are all good people! The miracle is you! thank you

Life changing... as a disabled veteran who served on submarines, my PTSD, anxiety and depression had impacted every area of my life and all that I had built was disintegrating. I was at the point of despairing of my own life and tired of it all... until my psychiatrist and the VA helped me to get to Sierra Tucson (ST). The staff, modalities and the Red White and Blue (RWB) program at ST were so encompassing and caring. ST provided classes that filled the full gambit of psychological approaches, TMS, Ketamine therapy, Integrative services (incorporating healing of the nervous system and body), and moral injury, among other support and restorative methods. By far the gold for me was in the Process Group work, work with my Primary Therapist (Kris Davis), Psychodrama with Adena Bank Lees, Ketamine therapy and how the peer support system is setup as a whole. I have learned how to give place and support others in their feelings and beliefs and more importantly how to access, sit with, and integrate my own emotions. My inner critic is being freed to support me and show me what I fear, and now I am equipped to be present in that fear and authentically choose to act in truth and love. Don't get me wrong... no place is perfect and the staff is spread thin, yet the staff care and the structure is the best I have seen. Thank you ST for your support and for fostering and nurturing my healing and authentic identity. Forever grateful!

I just recently got established with the VA for care even though I’ve been out of the military for a couple years. I usually avoid medical because my problems have always been dismissed. Although it took a few months to get my initial appointment, it has been worth the wait. I have had an amazing experience here and I think it’s mostly because I have an amazing provider. Dr. Robinson is one of the most attentive and caring physicians I have ever had and I feel incredibly safe and cared for in her hands. I’ve never had a physician as amazing as her (not even close) and I’ve been through a lot of doctors. The nurses and other staff here have been incredible as well. Pharmacy & lab were quick for me and the people in lab were amazing with me (I’m not great with needles). The other patients and clients visiting the hospital are great as well. I always enjoy the chats with strangers in waiting rooms. I love the camaraderie and vibes despite many of us coming from very different walks in life. I highly recommend this VA hospital.

Exceptional First-Time Experience at the Tucson VA Clinic – Outstanding Care by NP Nancy Granado I recently had my very first visit to the Tucson VA Clinic and was seen by Nurse Practitioner Nancy. Transitions into the VA healthcare system can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Nancy made the entire experience incredibly positive. From the moment the appointment began, Nancy was friendly, genuinely curious about my background and health history, and exceptionally helpful. Rather than just conducting a routine check-up, she took the time to educate me on a wide range of VA benefits, healthcare options, and programs that I was completely unfamiliar with. Her proactive approach, clear communication, and dedication to veteran care are a credit to the Tucson VA team. I left the appointment feeling heard, supported, and much more knowledgeable about the resources available to me. Thank you, Nancy, for an outstanding start to my VA care!

Our experience with this adolescent behavior healing center has been outstanding. The environment is structured, supportive, and truly focused on helping young people grow in healthy, meaningful ways. But the person who made the biggest difference for us was Robbie. Robbie’s dedication, patience, and genuine care shine through in every interaction. I attended Resilient Art Awakenings for a year, I healed through Art therapy, I have an Associates in Art, but learned many new techniques through different Therapists. I loved painting with Acrylics & watercolors. The supplies were provided, even let you choose the size of the frames. They teach you how to hang the frames, and you submit your artwork throughout the local community. My artwork showcased for a month in the downtown Tucson Library for a month. It is very rewarding. I also learned new skills suck as working with clay and mosaic’s, and so much more. They have group therapy as well as individual therapy sessions. You are given a cubby to keep your personal art items in, and lunch is provided daily. The staff is amazing. You can sign up for one on one lessons, as well. I was sad to leave the studio. I miss going there.🥹 the photos I’m posting are all paintings I created while at the studio. I hope you enjoy them. The Etano Center at Pima and Alvernon is truly outstanding. The staff—especially Zoann, Michelle, and Nick—are incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely care about helping people. The signup process is smooth, and they even give you a gift card after completing your paperwork, which is a thoughtful touch. There’s hardly ever a wait—usually just 3 to 4 minutes—and most patients qualify for weekend take-homes right away. The clinic is centrally located and super convenient. I've never felt more supported in my recovery journey. Highly recommend to anyone in need of compassionate, top-notch care!

This place is reMARKable!!! John and the group therapy have made all the difference for me! Just the right amount of tinder loving care. For me to finally acknowledge that I am an addict and alcoholic. That I need treatment. The Mark has provided a warm and inviting environment. To learn about the different types of addictions. How they alter your body and mind. The short term and long term effects. Also how to cope and live with my addictions. Most importantly to grow and become the best version of myself! I can't thank ya enough John! I will always be in debted to you for finally getting me clean and sober. After many, many years of using!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

I have been quite pleased with La Frontera Center. My brother has been a client of the Center for about 20 years and in that time, I have seen him make great strides developmentally. He has had a number of case managers and commenting on his current one, Nicole, he says, “She’s easy to talk to and keeps in touch. She’s the best at getting things done.” As a long-distance family member, it’s important that he has a local team that he can trust and is supportive. Nicole is very responsive, communicates well and often, and in general is a great advocate. I have great respect for her and appreciate that we have worked well together to support my brother. I would highly recommend La Frontera Center and especially Nicole.

I am really greatful and blessed that I was able to learn and progress while at The Chalet House. I returned to treatment at Chalet after I had relapsed only a week later after completing a 90 day program. Chalet House and the staff really helped me to learn how to love myself again. I was once again lost and broken with a DCS case that was heading towards severance. One particular person really helped me to understand boundaries, take responsibility, and she taught me how to have a voice. I completed almost 90 days. I would just like to say Thank You to all the staff at Chalet. ESPECIALLY THE WONDERFUL CARING WOMAN WHO MAKES IT ALL HAPPEN!!!😉
