YS Recovery was impressively organized from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the intake coordinator who clearly explained every step of the process. My schedule included individual therapy, group sessions, and wellness activities, all thoughtfully timed throughout the day. Each staff member had a defined role—therapists, medical professionals, and support staff collaborated seamlessly to ensure smooth transitions between sessions. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with comfortable common areas and private spaces for reflection. I appreciated the structured environment, which made it easy to focus on recovery and track progress daily. Everything ran like clockwork, creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for healing...

Sierra Tucson is a behavioral healthcare facility in Tucson, Arizona. They provide mental health and substance abuse treatment. Their campus is located on 160 acres of land, providing clients with various mountain and desert views. The facility has been in operation for over 40 years. Sierra Tucson’s approach to treating patients is to use a comb
I entered this facility voluntarily due to anxiety and depression which I now know is due to cptsd, although they did not diagnose this here. This is not a place for trauma survivors, they will traumatize you. I disclosed wanting to leave privately to my therapist, later a security guard confronted me about this. A serious violation of privacy. I felt unsafe and eventually got out by protesting to other patients and family. No surprise that patients are driven to suicide here. They behave like a cult. This was 5 years ago. I completed treatment at a kinder facility.

Visited the much talked about Sierra Tucson last week and was not disappointed! The people who are fortunate enough to seek treatment there are sure to have their lives changed for the better forever! It offers a serene breathtaking campus with the best mental healthcare options offered and a wonderful devoted staff to help clients complete their treatment journey. I now understand why Sierra Tucson has remained at the top of the list for best residential recovery facilities and still going strong after 43 years. 🥰

My VA Doctor Actually Knows My Name. Thank you, Dr. Helene Rhodes Kramer! Living with rheumatoid arthritis is something I wouldn't wish on anyone. It's a brutally painful, isolating, and exhausting disease. What makes it bearable is having a VA doctor who truly knows me — not just my chart, but my name. Dr. Helene Rhodes Kramer, Rheumatologist at the Tucson VA specialty clinics, is that doctor. Recently, my pain got so bad that I went to the local VA emergency room for relief and completely forgot I had a scheduled tele-health visit with her. While I was in the ER receiving 1,000 mg of steroids shot to calm the inflammation, Dr. Kramer called because I hadn't logged into our video appointment. When she learned I was in the ER, she spoke directly with the emergency room team about my RA and my treatment. I was so proud and grateful in that moment because it proved she knows my name and my story, and that she actively defends my care. That kind of attention and coordination doesn't just feel good emotionally — it improves my overall well-being and my medical outcomes. It's the difference between feeling like "just another patient" and feeling truly seen. Dr. Kramer is my VA doctor because she knows who I am. That means everything when you're living with a chronic, painful disease. Thank you, Dr. Kramer, and thank you, Tucson VA, for your care and service. Brenda M

Now I am taking classes to able give back to someone learn from my history of abuse and drug history and know there a new life out there. You can make it. I was molested, rape and beat down so bad I did not think I was good enough for anyone more even my 3 children. My husband was murder while in rehab and I lost all my children but I stayed clean. My children found me and they asked me the truth and I told everything and they are proud of me. If I can survive the lies, and the abuse so can another person. I was not able to open to anyone without the help of my 3 counselors and be honest with myself and everyone in the house about myself and what my future was then I was able to accept that I am a drug addict and I needed help and I got it. I attended Resilient Art Awakenings for a year, I healed through Art therapy, I have an Associates in Art, but learned many new techniques through different Therapists. I loved painting with Acrylics & watercolors. The supplies were provided, even let you choose the size of the frames. They teach you how to hang the frames, and you submit your artwork throughout the local community. My artwork showcased for a month in the downtown Tucson Library for a month. It is very rewarding. I also learned new skills suck as working with clay and mosaic’s, and so much more. They have group therapy as well as individual therapy sessions. You are given a cubby to keep your personal art items in, and lunch is provided daily. The staff is amazing. You can sign up for one on one lessons, as well. I was sad to leave the studio. I miss going there.🥹 the photos I’m posting are all paintings I created while at the studio. I hope you enjoy them. FYI there is a youth studio, Adult studio as well as you can graduate up to the Warehouse.

I have been quite pleased with La Frontera Center. My brother has been a client of the Center for about 20 years and in that time, I have seen him make great strides developmentally. He has had a number of case managers and commenting on his current one, Nicole, he says, “She’s easy to talk to and keeps in touch. She’s the best at getting things done.” As a long-distance family member, it’s important that he has a local team that he can trust and is supportive. Nicole is very responsive, communicates well and often, and in general is a great advocate. I have great respect for her and appreciate that we have worked well together to support my brother. I would highly recommend La Frontera Center and especially Nicole.

Nikki's amazing! She cares about the clients and goes the extra mile to ensure her client's needs are met. There have been more than a few times where I didn't know what to do or who to turn to that she helped me pull through and figure out the next steps. I don't know if I would have gotten through the painful situations that I have had to deal with in my life over the last couple of years without her help. The staff in general is amazing and I'm so grateful for this facility.

This place is reMARKable!!! John and the group therapy have made all the difference for me! Just the right amount of tinder loving care. For me to finally acknowledge that I am an addict and alcoholic. That I need treatment. The Mark has provided a warm and inviting environment. To learn about the different types of addictions. How they alter your body and mind. The short term and long term effects. Also how to cope and live with my addictions. Most importantly to grow and become the best version of myself! I can't thank ya enough John! I will always be in debted to you for finally getting me clean and sober. After many, many years of using!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!

The support, structure, and encouragement provided have been beyond what I could have hoped for. A special thanks goes to John, whose knowledge, compassion, and inspiration have impacted our entire group. His words and perspective continue to resonate with me, giving me the tools and mindset needed to push forward. I couldn’t be more grateful for this community and the people who make it what it is!
