Acabo de llamar para una situacion de crisis de mi suegra, paciente de demencia y 72 años de edad , y no me ayudaron en absoluto. Una Doctorcita le estaba dando instrucciones a la que me atendia por telefono, en la cual ella si fue muy amable, y la doctorcita le decia a la que me atendia en forma poco profecional y molesta que no podia acudir al Hospital porque habia que ir a otro hospital para hacerles unos analisis, cosa que le explico que ya teniamos todo eso porque la paciente la estamos llevando continuamente a sus citas de neurologo e internista. La doctorcita se escucha por el telefono en forma negativa ,negandose ayudar. Lo lamento por la secretaria que me atendio porque yo se que ella estaba incomoda de la manera en esa doctorcita le daba instrucciones de que informarme. Gracias por la que me atendio por el telefono, pero a la administraccion del hospital , investiguen esto porque esto es una situacion que necesitabamos ayuda y no quisieron atendernos por culpa de una doctorcita que parece que hoy no queria trabajar!

No hay respeto por con el tiempo del paciente. Llamas para hacer la cita, te la dan a una hora y cuando llegas te dicen que esa no es la hora de la cita. Vimos en dos ocasiones que la sala de espera se llenó y vació y no nos atendían. No recomendado.

Tengo que decir que el personal es muy amable. El tiempo de espera comparado con otros hospitales en Bayamón es del cielo a la tierra, salimos muchísimo antes que en los otros. No obstante, gastan miles de dólares en la creación y promoción en televisión y las redes, de las cualidades del hospital y sus modernas facilidades. Sin embargo, el baño de los hombres no tiene urinales en función y tampoco tiene jabonera para lavarse las manos. El área de espera en sala de emergencia tienen un abanico prendido porque no se siente que el aire enfríe. Todos sabemos que es muy importante en los hospitales que la temperatura sea baja para controlar la propagación de enfermedades. Inviertan un poquito en la planta física. El costo de poner en óptimas condiciones puede costar menos de $800.00 utilizando al personal de planta física. El gasto del aire puede ser mayor dependiendo de lo que tenga dañado, pero debe ser prioridad asegurarse de que los visitantes y pacientes salgan en mejor estado de salud de cuando entraron.

My first experience with hospitals in PR. Broke ankle and after being seen in 2 other hospitals, HURRA took my case. So glad I ended there. Their staff and nurses were great. On surgery day, got there by 6 am, and was home by 2. They made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. My only gripe, they need more wheelchairs. And as someone else mentioned they can use some TLC aesthetically speaking. Other than that, very happy with my treatment and amazing orthopedic doctor.
Note-gave DPA. They made sure copies were made and noted on paperwork. Really respected my decision.

Fui hospitalizada por 7 días por intento de suicidio
Pensé por un momento q me ayudarían deverdad pero Dios mío fue una pesadilla vi muchas injusticias los enfermeros tratan como animales a los pacientes ! Siempre hacen ruido te dan medicamentos para dormir pero gritan revientan las puertas ! No hacen terapia grupal no sales afuera si es fin de semana te quedas todo el día encerrado ! Es un infierno uno de los siquiatras es una persona con poca empatía y sus recomendaciones para evitar lo q sientes y te está pasando si es q evites evitar que !? Allí gracias a Dios hice unas amigas increíbles q nos apoyamos unas a las otras para soportar estar en este sitio lloramos todos los días !!! Nos daba miedo y nos sentíamos inseguras solo te daban pastillas
Y ya no te decían cual era el plan cuando más o menos hibas a salir ósea nada te atendían al frente de todo el mundo cero privacidad te hablaban un minuto y ya y siempre preguntaban lo mismo ! Salí peor de lo q entre totalmente traumada !!!!!!

During a recent visit to this hospital emergency room, I was shocked when their primary solution for a fever was to immediately prescribe Tylenol. My daughter was suffering from heat exhaustion and in need of I.V. fluids. When I pushed back not wanting to give my daughter Tylenol before trying other methods which I use anytime she gets sick (I have never had to use fever reducing medication before in her almost 10 years of life) I was threatened with having my child taken away from me. Being far away from my home where care is 100% better, I unfortunately felt pushed to give in to their disgusting demands. As a parent I have every right to treat MY child as I see fit. To top it off, before test results came in, they put us in a room with an extremely sick child. Before being discharged they stated she had some type of virus and to continue using Tylenol if her fever persists. Happy to report that under MY care, without the use of fever reducer, her body was able to regulate her temperature back to normal.
This recommendation, while common, demonstrates a troubling lack of consideration for the body’s natural healing processes and the essential role of fever in fighting illness. Fever is not the enemy—it’s a powerful physiological response designed to help the body combat infection. By raising the body’s temperature, the immune system creates an environment that’s less hospitable to viruses and bacteria, while also enhancing immune cell activity. Suppressing a fever prematurely with medication like Tylenol can, in many cases, prolong illness or hinder recovery.
The doctor’s quick suggestion to medicate rather than educate left me frustrated. Why not explain the purpose of a fever and when it might be truly necessary to intervene? In most cases, hydration, rest, and careful monitoring are sufficient. Medication should be reserved for extreme discomfort or when the fever reaches dangerous levels—not as a knee-jerk reaction.
This approach also ignores recent research questioning the routine use of fever-reducing drugs, especially in viral infections. Suppressing fever might provide temporary relief, but it does nothing to address the root cause of the illness. Worse, it could even lead to recurrent infections by disrupting the immune system’s natural response.
For the average patient, reaching for Tylenol every time a fever arises is not only unnecessary but potentially harmful.
Doctors have a responsibility to inform and empower their patients, not merely prescribe out of convenience. My experience underscores the need for a shift in the way healthcare professionals approach fever management. Instead of defaulting to medication, they should focus on educating patients about the body’s innate ability to heal and when intervention is truly warranted.
The human body is resilient and intelligent. It’s time for the medical community to treat it that way.
I’m embarrassed for these health “professionals” that have such a lack of education on how the body works. I feel sorry for the locals that this is the only care they can receive. I don’t know how this hospital is still open. Do better.

Good service. Update: tienen el generador de emergencia tan cerca a residencias privadas que el ruido es insoportable en las horas nocturnas interrumpiendo el sueño. Deben evaluar la situación. Esperemos que la nueva construcción del hospital siquiatrico no agrave el problema de ruidos afectando vecinos.

Tengo que decir que el personal es muy amable. El tiempo de espera comparado con otros hospitales en Bayamón es del cielo a la tierra, salimos muchísimo antes que en los otros. No obstante, gastan miles de dólares en la creación y promoción en televisión y las redes, de las cualidades del hospital y sus modernas facilidades. Sin embargo, el baño de los hombres no tiene urinales en función y tampoco tiene jabonera para lavarse las manos. El área de espera en sala de emergencia tienen un abanico prendido porque no se siente que el aire enfríe. Todos sabemos que es muy importante en los hospitales que la temperatura sea baja para controlar la propagación de enfermedades. Inviertan un poquito en la planta física. El costo de poner en óptimas condiciones puede costar menos de $800.00 utilizando al personal de planta física. El gasto del aire puede ser mayor dependiendo de lo que tenga dañado, pero debe ser prioridad asegurarse de que los visitantes y pacientes salgan en mejor estado de salud de cuando entraron.

My first experience with hospitals in PR. Broke ankle and after being seen in 2 other hospitals, HURRA took my case. So glad I ended there. Their staff and nurses were great. On surgery day, got there by 6 am, and was home by 2. They made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. My only gripe, they need more wheelchairs. And as someone else mentioned they can use some TLC aesthetically speaking. Other than that, very happy with my treatment and amazing orthopedic doctor.
Note-gave DPA. They made sure copies were made and noted on paperwork. Really respected my decision.

Yo vivo cerca de allí y es un buen lugar para persona q no lo tiene. Las mujeres q los cuidan son buenas y lo tratan bien como si fuera familia. Lo bueno es q no los encerrados ellos salen dan su vuelta o se quedan sentados en la cera. Los q se quedan en el Hogar Cordero son bien tranquilos. Te saludan y la pasan bien ❤❤❤❤❤❤
