DO NOT waste your time here. The first time I visited I got put on TWO pills, I thought it was strange but decided to give it a shot. The second visit I got put on another medication and didn’t know that the trio would give me possible seizures and muscle pain. After following up with my doctors, I was told to stop one immediately and to switch to a new one. When I brought it up to Debra she gave me a face and sighed then said she’d never heard that. She switched the one and left two. After following up with doctors again, we decided to switch to a new medication that would help two things at once. I called three time to get this medication switched and I did not get a single call back or message back in the portal. When I called the last time and talked to the front desk lady, she was rude, and talked down to me. I talked to Debra about the situation and she got defensive and started talking down to me as well. She said she’d switch the medication and get me a new appointment to check in and not even ten minutes later I got a call saying I got dismissed from practice. This just goes to show that not all psychiatrists should be in practice. EDIT TO RESPONSE: I think I’m actually going to start this with a quote. “Misinformation can have serious consequences”. So let’s clear up some things. There was never an instance where I or anyone on my end involved were “inappropriate” to the staff. There was ONE instance where a family member was trying to ADVOCATE for me and spoke firm, but never disrespectful. After said instance, NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES LATER, the “thoughtful and necessary decision” to release me from the practice was made. This made not only my current situation worse, but also made me end up in the hospital. The lack of ownership in this situation in this situation is very upsetting.

We're truly sorry to hear this was your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. Our team is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care, and it’s upsetting to hear that we fell short of your expectations.

That said, we also have a responsibility to maintain a safe, respectful environment for both patients and staff. Unfortunately, due to repeated instances of inappropriate treatment of our provider and team by a family member involved in your care, we made the thoughtful and necessary decision to discontinue the clinical relationship. These decisions are never made lightly and are always in the interest of protecting the well-being of all involved.

We wish you the very best in finding a provider who aligns with your needs and supports your care moving forward.

Highly unprofessional! You can tell by the responses to their reviews! They put my child in serious danger giving medication to her that amplified seizures. When it was brought to their attention they got defensive and fought to change the meds to make it better. When I got firm on what was needed I was told I was “harassing” the staff and my daughter was dismissed. She then wrote a review and they actually commented on it with specific and personal information. That comment has since been deleted. Due to the actions and frankly malpractice of this “business” my daughter was cut off meds cold turkey which caused her to be taken the ER by ambulance for a gran mal. You don’t have to take the advice of ALL the negative reviews, but just read their responses to see they are combative to any concern brought to their attention. We can’t ALL be wrong.

We are truly sorry to hear that you had such a distressing experience, and we take your concerns very seriously. When families trust us with their care, it is a responsibility we never take lightly.

We want to emphasize that we do not and would never disclose any personal or protected health information in our public responses.

We recognize that medication management, especially in complex and sensitive cases, can be difficult and that adjustments may not always go as expected. We take full accountability for how we communicate and respond to feedback, and we’re continually working to improve the way we engage with concerns brought to our attention.

That said, we must be clear that serious accusations, particularly those that involve claims of unethical or harmful conduct, require accuracy and fairness. While we are always open to respectful dialogue and correction, misinformation can have real consequences. We strongly encourage any unresolved concerns to be addressed through direct, appropriate channels so they can be thoroughly reviewed and responded to with the care they deserve.

Our priority has always been the safety and well-being of those we serve, and we remain committed to upholding that trust.

Accepted Insurance

Beyond Milestone Counseling works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Sliding scale payments are based on a client's income and family size. The goal is to make treatment affordable to everyone. By taking these factors into account, addiction recovery care providers help ensure that your treatment does not become a financial burden to you or your family, eliminating one barrier to care.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Professional services are often necessary to recover from addiction. Drug rehab in Colorado provides the expert services needed to address the complex issues of addiction and help individuals start their recovery journey.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience with this clinic, not a good look since this was my first psychiatry clinic I went to. They gave me meds that made my mental health worse, they did this for years. I had stopped some meds but kept others, I had genuinely used some of the meds for anxiety but they were not really for anxiety, when I told people about the medications in question. I had been here for a while, back when I was figuring out my mental health. I cried the first time I went in and I should've noticed something was up from the get go. I ended up having to be told by some people that I'm taking meds I do not even need, specifically around in 2024. I stopped taking them up until I got super stressed that I had to. Then I realized just how bad the meds affected me in 2025 when I was on vacation and I ruined many events because these medications were affecting my mood and enjoyment of events and my life. They did alleviate my anxiety but at the cost of my genuine enjoyment for my hobbies and work life. After doing research on the meds as well as talking to my doctor and other people about it. I realized I was being scammed and decided to stop seeing them, please do not consider this place, find somewhere else. Never again. I am glad two of the drs I had left.

Response from the owner
We're truly sorry to hear that your experience with our clinic left you feeling this way. It’s always deeply concerning to hear that someone felt worse after seeking support, and we take that to heart.

Mental health treatment is highly individual, and finding the right medication or approach can be a difficult, sometimes frustrating process, especially in the early stages of care. We understand how hard it can be to navigate these decisions, and we sincerely regret that your time with us left you feeling let down or harmed.

We take full responsibility for the care we provide, and we’re always open to feedback, especially when someone feels their needs weren’t met. At the same time, it’s important to clarify that every treatment plan we offer is based on thorough clinical evaluation and up-to-date medical guidance. The suggestion that care was given with dishonest intent is very serious and not something we take lightly.

We respect your decision to move forward with different providers, and we truly hope you’ve found a path that better supports your well-being. We remain committed to growth, integrity, and providing care rooted in compassion and professionalism for every person we serve.
