This is for the ATU unit specifically. I don’t even know where to start. So many good things to say! Please stay and read the whole thing. Especially if you’re considering going here. It was so good! I was just here, for a week and the experience was basically like a 5 star hotel! Besides the beds which they can’t change but that’s not their fault. Intake was so welcoming and I was very unsure about going inpatient based on past experiences, but after talking with them, I voluntarily went inpatient. Felt very confident. They have really comfortable chairs, not rock hard that are so uncomfortable to sit in. They have bathrooms outside of the rooms with doors that lock, so you have the most privacy you can get. They allow you to have your phone, which of course is a personal preference for some people as it may be best to get a total break from the outside world. And of course they have rules for using your phone such as no recording or videos or pictures for privacy. But other than that you are free to have your phone all the time. And they have all cords for every kind of phone there is behind the nurse’s desk to charge your phone whenever you want. They have a relaxation room that has a big picture of the beach with palm trees and the ocean, a picture of the Grand Canyon, a recliner, some comfortable chairs, and an exercise bike. Really great to get alone time without having to go in your room. The food is absolutely 5 out of 5! Catering from Springs Rescue Mission, and they take care of each patient. Offering second helpings. They offer round the clock care of course, including snacks whenever. Chips, cookies, milk, orange juice, etc. Unlike a lot of places, they allow patients free roam 24/7 on the unit. Other places there’s a “curfew” and “lights out”. They don’t push you to go to therapy. Of course they encourage you but they really empathize unlike others and understand what you’re going through. They offer that you can ask for one on one talking and processing with any of the staff on duty at any time. There are a few times of being aware of their time like when they are doing staff changes, shift changes, rounding on other patients, etc. But they are very gentle. They also offer yoga mats at request and books you can read freely. As well as a tv room where you can choose what to watch as long as it’s available and appropriate. And listen to music via tv as well. They have games that you can play either by yourself or with other patients. Also, they allow CPAP machines as long as the door is open at night so they can monitor closely to make sure you’re safe. I absolutely loved it here and highly highly recommend it to everyone. Great care! I do not know if the other units are like this. This is just my experience.

I've been in crisis twice this year. Both times, I could not ask for better help. Lauren saw the real me and what I truly needed. She didn't waste time working on getting me to the resources to put me on the road to recovery. Because, I didn't follow through with her same enthusiasm, I got to meet Adam. I'd like to thank God for him too. He also saw ME, knew exactly what I really needed to hear. These people are literally out here saving lives. Every person in the building I met showed me compassion, understanding and helped me plan a better future for myself. I wouldn't be here without their help. Thank you for being a true Light House.

I was on the property several years ago in the program. It helped me so much. Even thpugh i got exited over a phone, i still give kudos to this program for helping me to sustain some level of sobriety and clean time. I did relapse after exiting the program but my relapse only occured for 9 months this last time and thats the shortest tome period for me. I came back to recovery after and have since got vispdat completed and have housing currently due to the voucher which i received. I was pleasently surprised to find out recently that they have now taken over the management of the voucher system!!! So i am back with them on different terms, very awesome as they are now able to offer me different supportive services like a wrap around care model....it working for me!!! I wanted to write this review to give others hope, especially when there are so many negative reviews. Joyce was informative and was fair on the fees charged for the PPIR for a family member. The process did require patience and took time. In the end, the result was in when it was needed and was fair for the case.

I can not say enough about how the team at Healing Pines saves lives and heals participants. My son spent 30 days at healing pines and returned as a sober, calm, insightful person able to converse in a healthy way. My son felt like he had taken sunglasses off and could now see light and joy in life. Paul, Cathy and all the counselors are amazing people who truly have a passion for helping the men in the program while they are onsite and after they return to their lives. Healing Pines is a place of hope, healing and changing lives. I am forever grateful ♥️

WOW!!! > Healing Pines Recovery is truly something special. I’ve been through other programs before, but nothing compares to the level of care, knowledge, and compassion I experienced here. From day one, I felt like more than just another client — I was part of a small, supportive community where every person, staff and client alike, genuinely cares about your recovery. Because of the small client number, there’s so much one-on-one time with counselors and staff. Each team member is incredibly knowledgeable in all aspects of recovery — many have walked this path themselves, which makes their insight and empathy feel real and grounded. The program isn’t “one size fits all” — it’s completely tailored to you, blending clinical therapy, spiritual work, and 12-step approaches in whatever way fits your journey best. The property itself is breathtaking — 40 acres of peace, with trails that feel designed for sunrises and sunsets. The living spaces are comfortable and spacious, and you never feel cramped or overlooked. And then there are the animals — three miniature donkeys (Kiwi, Andy, and Quill!) who are genuinely therapeutic and always seem to know when you need a moment of quiet connection. Plus, a few amazing dogs and cats that add a comforting sense of home. The curriculum is top-notch — both challenging and deeply healing. I especially loved the weekly music and art therapy sessions that gave us a creative way to process the tougher parts of recovery. Physical fitness is also a big focus here — we went to the gym five days a week, and Zach helped design personalized workout plans to rebuild strength and confidence. On top of that, there’s an indoor and outdoor pickleball court (yes, two!) and even a frisbee golf course, which we used for group therapy. There’s something powerful about talking through life while throwing a frisbee under the Colorado sky. Evenings often ended with fireside chats — open, judgment-free conversations where we could just be ourselves, laugh, and remember what real connection feels like. For me, those moments redefined what it means to have fun and feel safe in sobriety. What really sets Healing Pines apart, though, is the staff. Paul, the founder, has built an incredible team of people who radiate love, knowledge, and kindness. You can tell they’re here for the right reasons — their dedication and selflessness shine through in everything they do. Healing Pines Recovery changed my life. If you’re questioning whether it’s the right fit for you, it probably is. Give Paul a call — and if you need to talk to someone who’s been there, tell him to pass along my number. This place is pure magic, and I’ll be forever grateful for what it gave me. 100/10!

An important part of the healing journey out of addiction can be finding new ways to experience joy and fulfillment in your life so your sobriety doesn’t leave a hole that you used to fill with drugs and alcohol. That’s the benefit of Banyan Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado. An essential part of the recovery journey is discovering new ways
I’d like to say, this was a wonderful place. I’m young, this was my first detox and was going to be residency, but that didn’t happen for reasons outside of this company. The staff there tried their hardest, continuing to answer to the needs of over 20+ people at a time. Yes they were short staffed, which is super unfortunate. But they made up for it in their work ethic. I would recommend this place to literally anyone. The biggest thing I didn’t like is the struggle of medications being sent to my pharmacy. Besides that, I had a wonderful stay. I would go again but preferably not. They taught me things that I wouldn’t have known outside of this place. Another thing, I’d recommend giving the people there more things to do. I get it’s a detox, but cleaning, painting, anything. Could help with peoples emotions. I loved to clean because of how bored I was.

This is a good place to work. We’ve had some turn over, yes, but the staff I have been working with for the last 8 months is very caring and all of us work hard to ensure proper patient care and safety. Most of the patients have a very positive experience here. I am proud of our nurses, and we all respect one another. I have not heard of anyone talking badly about anyone who works here. Every place has their challenges as I have worked at a few addiction treatment centers, and Banyan is one of the best places to work. I am responding to an inaccurate review that was left on here by a scorned nurse who was let go for being confrontational with a patient, and it was so unprofessional and incorrect. We have never had lice or bed bugs and that’s 100% a lie left on here by one nurse. I have referred other nurses and they’ve all been happy to be here.

So mostly they are decent in working with you for your mental that is until you have to schedule. Before my last appointment, I spent literally weeks trying to schedule a appointment early before my usual 3 month check in cause I needed to talk about getting back on a medication. Finally had it scheduled on the day after the date on my just in time card, spent those weeks frustrated with the schedulers, I call, they don't pick up, leave a voicemail receive their voicemail, call them and still no answer! Meanwhile I'm having to deal with my symptoms when I have to. And just today I have a just in time card saying, IN THESE WORDS, "Call us the week of Jan 18, 2023". That implies I have to call any day in this week. Why does it matter if I call before or after the 18th? You have to see what day the psychiatrist is available anyways so why can't I just get it scheduled on the week the card says It makes no sense and it effects your patients negatively. You need to consider in changing your ways with scheduling your patients, you should not be telling me or anyone to wait and tough it out while I'm out in public because we're calling to schedule "too early". Mental health and neurological disorders does work like that!!!

I feel like after seeing all of the one star reviews, it's my responsibility to share my experience. I have not posted a public review until this point because of the stigma of having mental health issues, but if it helps someone choose to get the help they need, it's worth it. Denver Springs positively improved my quality of life, twice. I have always felt cared for on a personal level, I have learned coping skills unique to my diagnosis, and the therapists and nurses are highly skilled. Please remember, to be successful at someplace like Denver Springs, you get out of it what you put into it. If you do the bare minimum in therapy or don't dig deep into what's causing certain behaviors you can't expect to improve. DS gave me so many skills, in a safe and positive environment. I am forever grateful.

Like every establishment like this one, it had its ups and it has its downs. The staff, for the most part, seem to ACTUALLY care about the patients and keeping the patients sober. Also, the staff makes it a point to learn, not just your name, but who each person is as an individual. This makes, at least me and my husband, feel like we matter and motivated to stay sober. It's a good place for addicts to go to when rehab isn't an option!!

this treatment center is nothing but amazing. I completed both my education and therapy with Serenity, and it was very straightforward and easy to stay on track with classes. I highly recommend Serenity, and Kevin is an amazing counselor. he treatmented me like a human being that made a mistake, never looked down on me or treated me poorly for why I was there for treatment. This is the best place for whatever you have going on in your life. I am on supervision and use them for my classes, one on ones, and testing. The staff is super nice and helpful. They go above and beyond with extra case management services and even helped with my resume. They will know you by first name and stay in touch when it counts. They have a bunch of online sessions available too if you can’t drive or need to meet with someone remotely. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.

I was a victim of a crime and they had more than a month to get my input. They did not contact me until 4:45 the day before trial the next morning. Their report the next morning included extensive pages of quoting from the defendant in this domestic violence case and it only said that they took my info. Into consideration. Note that this is a domestic violence case in which there was a witness, and the police officers took photographs because I was bleeding from the assault. Because of PIC not taking my information into consideration before their report, the case was dismissed and the perpetrator got off without any consequences. Complete failure of Partners in Change resulted in an abuser getting charges dismissed and myself, the victim being abused again. Do NOT use this company.

I just got back from a 45-day in-house treatment program in Parowan Utah and found this place on-line. After scootering around for 30 min. I found it and it was open! I am grateful and was welcomed warmly by Debbie! We talked for a while and she was gracious enough to buy me a cup of coffee. I am lucky to be here and am appreciative of the opportunity to change my life, and hopefully I have found an additional fellowship, with which I can continue my recovery! What a cool blessing to find this place! Thank You Debbie for the warm welcome!! David-

Great place. Google calls it an alcoholism treatment program, which is not completely accurate. It is an Alano club that has meeting rooms hosting a variety of 12 step program meetings. Some that deal with alcoholism, others that deal with other issues.

This pharmacy is amazing! I have been going to this pharmacy since 2004! And since about the second time I went there they all remembered my name! So with that said itakes it much easier and faster to get my medication! Also it is nice because the pharmacy is attached to me mental health place! But it is always clean....and that is a big thing for me! It's not like going into a King Soopers and it has a dirty floor or a dirty counter! So I do recommend this pharmacy!

Finished the 90 day program. I'm 8 months clean which is the longest I've ever had and doing great. This was the most valuable help I've ever received from a treatment program mainly thanks to Bonni who ran our group. She is such a great facilitator, highly professional and knows what she's doing. Anyone struggling is welcomed and heard. Honestly will miss having group!

I've been with Jefferson center for over 15 years. With a short absence about 10 years ago when I went to Ohio. Jefferson center is one of the best mental health centers in the United States. The programs that they have along with the support and love from all of the providers and staff is absolutely amazing. My psychologist Dr Laura Smith has been a godsend for me. She is the most amazing doctor and person that I have ever met. ❤️

Update: Dr. Peterson is great!! Mental health is no joke. Chemical changes after 10 plus years using the same meds, and BAM, semi normal to absolute chaos after I was forced to change docs. I guess big pharma got to them and wanted us to be customers instead of patients, making us try so many different things, once again. No insurance, and they don't even know if it'll work. What happened to caring? Instead, a timer is set for 30 min apts, and you know they are looking at the timer because of the fact they'll say 'we got 'x' mins left...people without insurance jerked around instead of listening and understanding, they tell u and could care a less about it and tell you THIS IS HOW YOU SHOULD FEEL..Sad what doc's have become now a days.
