The most help I’ve ever received from a therapeutic stand point. The clinical directors are great, the therapists have a lot of helpful insights and their Nurse Practitioner was a lot better at managing medications than all the MDs I’ve known. Great experience and environment, conducive to recovery

If you are researching facilities that make a difference look no further than Embark. The PHP program as well as the IOP program have made a tremendous difference in how our family functions. The staff here are genuine and caring, and skilled professionals. It is my understanding that they are relatively new to the state of Colorado. This group of professionals has made the entire difference for our family so don’t hesitate due to their newness to CO. We have been in and out of countless psychiatrists, psychologist, counselors, the list goes on, and this is the only place that we have found hope for a better future for our son. We will be taking the skills and knowledge and putting it into practice, the staff truly cares and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who’s trying to find help for their adolescent that struggles with mental health.

Commerce City, CO | Stout Street Foundation offers Serenity, a short term residential treatment program. They’re located in Commerce City, Colorado. Serenity is an intensive treatment program for substance use disorder and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) mental health disorders. Although Stout Street Foundation offers a long-term program, Serenity is their short prog | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Soooo here's the deal. This program is not easy. Well, Serenity was kinda easy (I did both of their programs). I hear they've changed some things in the long term program since I was there, but I'm sure it's still not easy, or fun. I went in March of 2020 after a series of unfortunate life choices including two DUIs and discovering my inability to get sober "on my own". I had burned every bridge with my friends and family, I was as down and out as they come. My probation officer said "jail or rehab" and when I read about Stout Street, I immediately knew deep down that it was what I needed, despite the mixed reviews. I completed the inpatient portion of the program (18 months). During my time there, I was forced to face myself in a way that I desperately needed. I COULD sit here and rage about the aspects of the program that were - arguably - too intense. But I'd much rather tell you this: Stout Street changed my life. Because of the "job" I was assigned while I was in the program as the Medical Clerk (during COVID too! It was wild!), I had the necessary experience that I needed to apply for and gain access to a job in the addiction treatment field, where I still work to this day. Must more importantly, Stout was the TIME OUT I needed from life. It is a truly precious thing to have a year and a half to work on yourself. No bullshit. To not stress about bills, bad relationships and people from your time in active addiction, and to just SHUT OFF THE NOISE - is a GIFT. I am so grateful that I went here because it was the beginning of a beautiful life that I am now really creating, day by day. Had I not gone to Stout Street, I would be dead or likely in ANOTHER crappy codependent relationship. I can proudly say that I've been single since I went in, and five years later my life is looking more promising and feeling more stable and fulfilling than I ever thought would be possible. I always thought I would die before 30. That was my trajectory. Until Stout picked me up and shook me HARD with the reality of life, showed me that I CAN stand on my own two feet, and gave me ~H O P E~. If you're looking for a cushy rehab where you get loads of free time, someone to sign off on the lies you tell yourself to keep getting high or drunk, quick tips, and comfort in recovery... Look somewhere else. This place right here will wake you up and teach you how to be uncomfortable. I can't even tell you how many people bounced out after a month or so. It takes guts to work through this program. It's worth every tear, every WC, every write up, and every tough confrontation. I am only now (5 years in the future lol) really seeing and reaping the benefits of my time here. The more time that goes on, the more tools that I find myself using to navigate life. Tools that I gained from Stout Street. The classes that they offer during your time are life-changing. I still do Inner Child work to this day, and I will do it until the day I die because it is the only thing that has helped me heal certain parts of myself from abuse and self-loathing. In all transparancy, I did not graduate the program. I had a relapse in the sober living phase of the program and ended up going to another facility briefly to get back on track. But my drive, my THIRST for self awareness and self love - those came from Stout Street. I am now an HONEST person because of this place. Sometimes you have to break down in order to rebuild, and this is a place where you can do that safely. A few staff members had an incredible impact on me, and now we're coming full circle and I'm working alongside them to help others find their way into recovery at the outpatient clinic where I work. I can't say thank you enough, Stout Street. I also can't say I haven't talked a LOT of shit on this program.... Because it was HARD. But the gifts they offer are undeniable. I love seeing my "brothers and sisters" from Stout out here thriving. It is truly incredible and if you really want to change your life, you should go here. Trust the process. If I could do it, so can you.

This is a good place to work. We’ve had some turn over, yes, but the staff I have been working with for the last 8 months is very caring and all of us work hard to ensure proper patient care and safety. Most of the patients have a very positive experience here. I am proud of our nurses, and we all respect one another. I have not heard of anyone talking badly about anyone who works here. Every place has their challenges as I have worked at a few addiction treatment centers, and Banyan is one of the best places to work. I am responding to an inaccurate review that was left on here by a scorned nurse who was let go for being confrontational with a patient, and it was so unprofessional and incorrect. We have never had lice or bed bugs and that’s 100% a lie left on here by one nurse. I have referred other nurses and they’ve all been happy to be here.

I feel like after seeing all of the one star reviews, it's my responsibility to share my experience. I have not posted a public review until this point because of the stigma of having mental health issues, but if it helps someone choose to get the help they need, it's worth it.
Denver Springs positively improved my quality of life, twice. I have always felt cared for on a personal level, I have learned coping skills unique to my diagnosis, and the therapists and nurses are highly skilled.
Please remember, to be successful at someplace like Denver Springs, you get out of it what you put into it. If you do the bare minimum in therapy or don't dig deep into what's causing certain behaviors you can't expect to improve. DS gave me so many skills, in a safe and positive environment. I am forever grateful.

Like every establishment like this one, it had its ups and it has its downs. The staff, for the most part, seem to ACTUALLY care about the patients and keeping the patients sober. Also, the staff makes it a point to learn, not just your name, but who each person is as an individual. This makes, at least me and my husband, feel like we matter and motivated to stay sober. Services include a mobile medication-assisted treatment (MAT) program, case management, and aftercare support. Located in Lakewood, Colorado, Jefferson Center for Mental Health | Programs Payment Options | Jumping in to say that Dr Tycner was absolutely tripping about 25mg of elavil causing serotonin syndrome, but then proceeded to over dose me on Abilify via its interaction with prozac. My outpatient psychiatrist was horrified. She also failed to listen to a single word I said at quite literally any point. She should not be prescribing. I'm now filing a complaint against her license directly as well as the ones I've filed against the facility. Crazy level of incompetence.

As other reviews have said, classic overbilling. They do almost nothing to make the environment therapeutic, and struggle to accommodate medical needs or diets. You're better off calling a therapist than coming here.

My daughter has been here twice. When you go into an emergency room they send you where ever there is an open bed. You don't get to decide where they go.
The first time my daughter came here they sent her meds home with the wrong kid.
The most recent time I could not talk to my child. When I called they would put me on hold then the phone would disconnect. Then they would tell me she's been on the phone all day but couldn't tell me who she was talking to. I gave them a list of people she could talk to.
I took her clothes for her. She came home with a bunch of clothes missing.
They changed her meds and the Dr never told me what she was taking. She's been home for a week and she's been asleep most of the day she looks like a zombie.
They didn't sent a Dr note to excuse her from school. I called and asked for it they never called back.
The communication from the people providing "care" here sucks. There is no accountability. My daughter was taken here at 8pm they put her in one of their tiny commence rooms until 4am. She's feeling suicidal and they stuck her in a tiny room with no one around for 8 hours. She has an eating disorder after leaving that room everyone got breakfast she got bread and crackers.
After 4 days and not hearing from anyone about my childs care I asked if she had discharge scheduled since I haven't heard from anyone. He said she was scheduled to leave Wednesday this was on a Monday. The next day someone called and said she was scheduled to leave on Friday. I said I still hadn't heard from the Dr so she said she would have him call me. 2 days later I still hadn't heard from him so after insisting on going to the family planning meeting in person the Dr finally called. They also told me at that point it would be Sunday and it was up to the Dr. He told my daughter she would be going home at some point next week. So he finally called and said she would be going home Sunday. He said since she started new meds he wanted to watch for side effects. Never talked to me about the meds. I assumed when she got released someone would talk to me. They didn't they handed me a folder and said good luck.
After getting home and looking up the meds used together they have sedation effects. How is my child supposed to go to school if I can't get her out of bed!?
There's always kids here putting their hands on other kids. This is not a safe facility. I hope my daughter never ends up back in this place. They do not care about them.
