This year I celebrated 6 years clean after over a decade of drug use. Whenever I talk about my recovery, Mary, the woman who runs this rehab and sober living will always come into that conversation.
I was so scared to go into rehab for the first time and I knew my family was too. I’m so happy I chose New Beginnings. Everything about the place from the classes to the different ways they teach you to get through withdrawals and how to manifest a beautiful life, clean. Her words will forever echo in my heart for the rest of my life. There is something truly special about this place.
I’m currently living out my beautiful dream life and I couldn’t be more grateful for Mary and the chance she gave me. I recently got married and we had a micro wedding. All of my friends who came were from New Beginnings. Life long friends.
If you’re reading this, you or someone you love is probably trying to make this very hard decision. Just know you’ve found it!

Absolutely blown away by this facility. Detoxing IS intimidating!
I was not ready for what I was walking into, in a good way! The staff is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I felt welcomed, never judged, cared for and about! The staff was AMAZING... (in the order of appearance because I loved them all so much!) Wanda, Darian, Tess, Sadie, Paige, Shante, Frances & Kiki!! LOVE THEM! They made sure I had everything I needed to come down comfortably! The pictures of the rooms, that's what you get! A queen sized bed with a TV in your private room. Beds are comfy and the great lighting for whatever mood you're in! The entire facility is clean, really clean! The staff here really takes pride in what they do! The food, was amazing! They order in Door Dash for lunch and dinner from good places! Plus, they have things to eat in the kitchen as well as coffee, hot tea, Gold Peak teas, Gatorade, and way more! Fruits, toast, bagels! I could go on! I appreciated that they kept everything stocked. While there, they also helped me to line up what my next steps were, provided me resources on places/providers/therapists that were in network for me. I didn't expect that, but really appreciate not having to leave without a plan! Thank you lovely therapist Ali for all your hard work on that! I can't forget Dr. Welcher, she clearly knows what she's doing and how to handle this process! To barely feel any symptoms is unheard of! This is the way to go! No reason to be scared anymore!
One more shout out to the staff! I wouldn't be where I am today without all of them! I've been going through it pretty bad (like most people), but they were so kind, compassionate, attentive and truly have the biggest hearts! They also were fun to be around which made the time there so much easier! Thank you so much!!! I'm gonna send a card when I'm a year clean and enjoying life!
Not sure I need to say this, but I 10/10 recommend this place!

They have an emergency inpatient service for clients who are experiencin | Treatments Programs Payment Options | the people here, most definitely care. & if anyone says otherwise, i question them, not the staff. even when id get aggressive, they never retaliated. they also trusted me and gave me another chance after being suicidal. and their trust for me caused me to do better. they would calm me down, & reassured me. they made it very memorable in here. they’re very helpful. Michael Jeremy Justin Ebonny Trent & Brandon are my favorite
Michael is very attentive & pretty monotone . when i was having bad moments and times, he never returned it with disrespect. instead, with kindness, respect, & maturity. no wonder he’s a manager here. he’s good at what he does. he understands how to say the perfect thing at the perfect time. he’s never said anything to rub me the wrong way or make me uncomfortable. he’s a people person whether he likes to admit to it or not. he’s also pretty funny. Michael saved my life many times, & helped me stay away from self harm. so did Ashley
& so did Justin. Justin helped keep me from self harming. he’d always notice the signs, & immediately stepped in to make me feel better. he prevented me from self harming. Justin when he was working there, made sure i was always safe, & made me laugh in times i was anxious. he’s an angel. he’s pretty patient, & protected me when a girl threatened to assault me and tried getting close to me. he calmed her down and also checked in on me.
Trent is very patient and reassuring
Josh is very friendly interactive and funny
Ben he is super sweet, & very kind. he doesn’t shame people for being themselves.
Jeremy is able to calm people down , and he’s just a vibe. he does what he can to help people. he’s insanely intelligent, & always says the right things. you can tell he’s been through things to be so mature. Jeremy came to help me during a vanilla code. he literally helped me so much. i felt heard, validated, understood, but most importantly, he helped calm me down because that’s the person he is. kind and loving. he understands people’s needs before they say a word. that is his gift.
Brooke is highly sweet, & a good predictor. her intuition is to the max, it’s impressive.
Hidie is so so sweet and beautiful . i could tell she’s smart by the way she talks.
Trevor the tall one is very helpful . when i had a seizure, he was there calming me down and he actually cared.
Ebonnie is such a kind person and i like the way she acts/talks. she has a young side to her that she’s not afraid to show. she’s also pretty gangster. u can tell she’s not the type of woman you’d want to mess with. her kindness does not equal weakness.
Brandon is very interactive, and is able to touch people in a unique way. he tries his best, i could tell.
Ashley is super supportive, & amazing . she’s always smiling and is upbeat.
Kim is super nice, & forgiving. she’s the light.
Alicia is very intelligent and encouraging .
Cris is super sweet, & a natural.💕

The staff was very professional and kind 99% of them, of course is always that one percent that doesn’t fit into this category! Food was delicious! And as a vegetarian when I realized how to figure out the system, they brought my food upstairs to the horizon unit for me because I have IBS and I’m 66 years old and to jam that food in my mouth in less than 15 minutes by the time you walk downstairs and go through the line Was outrageous! Another thing that really bothered me is, I have severe neuropathy and they refuse to provide me with ice packs until I threw a fit yelled and screamed and cried. Did they finally provide me with ice packs this is unacceptable!!! Joey, the mad nurse was one of my favorites. Matthew and I kinda had a rough start and then I really enjoyed him. The gentleman who came from the teenager or kids unit who gave the art history lesson about Turner the artist in the late 1700s early 1800s from the UK was amazing. We need to have him on the floor every day teaching classes to the adult unit because he was amazing!!!

I would highly recommend Greenlight counseling. The counselors are phenomenal and so is the content. They make this terrible time of your life a bit more easier. Plus if you go in with an open mind you’d be surprised what you can learn about yourself and how you can use in the future. If we’re all being honest with ourselves. If you have to go to a DUI class. There a huge possibility something is going on in you. I’m about to start opening sober homes and have had extensive training for that, plus I've had extensive therapy for many years that included rapid eye therapy for myself says something to the fact this program taught me a couple of things I can now use in the future for me and what I now want to do for a business Says a lot about this program. Let's face it, nobody *wants* to be in a Mental Health Facility, but when you need to be in one, I would suggest here ten times out of ten.
I was voluntarily admitted here and was expecting 3-5 days max. Welp, ended up I caught the start of a "breakdown." Not gonna lie, I was horrified when I first came in and the first few days. I became more comfortable, and all of my needs were always met. Sometimes, it took a little bit (when the unit was full or more complex and immediate attention was required for tense situations), but I always felt like I was cared for. Talking with a psychiatrist every day to fine-tune my meds was a lifesaver. The councilors and therapists were phenomenal. The other staff was all great. I can't think of one person who was rude to me or didn't want to help.
The unit is amazingly clean (I came from a very very dirty and rundown MHF that it was borderline scary), and the main janitor actually cleans things and not just "wipe down" and spot clean. The bathrooms stayed clean almost 100% of the time! Much higher than all the fast food places I've had to use the facilities.
I'm sorry I can't name staff... I know a few of them, but I would feel bad mentioning just the few when it was

Addition | Treatments Programs Payment Options | 3 years ago I was introduced to 2xtreme as a resource to help my son who, at the time, was self-medicating with anything he could get his hands on. My son was lost and I wanted him back. I was referred to 2xtreme by a vice principal at my son's school. Upon my research, I found that they work with at risk young men and families who are in a crisis. During our first appointment, the approach taken by John Davis of 2xtreme, was extraordinarily different as he was able to pinpoint my sons struggles and name them. Taken back by what we had encountered that day, I knew and my son knew that this was the place for him to find himself and to begin to heal. Over these 3 years, not only was my son cared for, but my family was as well. A relationship that consisted of thoughtfulness, communication, experientials, care, integrity, humility, vulnerability and love is what brought not only my son, but my family closer. My son and I are both stronger mentally, physically and spiritually, and we are still evolving. I owe so much to 2xtreme and John Davis, the words Thank You just don't seem to match what they have done, sacrificially, for me and my family.

Commerce City, CO | Stout Street Foundation offers Serenity, a short term residential treatment program. They’re located in Commerce City, Colorado. Serenity is an intensive treatment program for substance use disorder and co-occurring (dual diagnosis) mental health disorders. Although Stout Street Foundation offers a long-term program, Serenity is their short prog | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Soooo here's the deal. This program is not easy. Well, Serenity was kinda easy (I did both of their programs). I hear they've changed some things in the long term program since I was there, but I'm sure it's still not easy, or fun. I went in March of 2020 after a series of unfortunate life choices including two DUIs and discovering my inability to get sober "on my own". I had burned every bridge with my friends and family, I was as down and out as they come. My probation officer said "jail or rehab" and when I read about Stout Street, I immediately knew deep down that it was what I needed, despite the mixed reviews. I completed the inpatient portion of the program (18 months). During my time there, I was forced to face myself in a way that I desperately needed. I COULD sit here and rage about the aspects of the program that were - arguably - too intense. But I'd much rather tell you this: Stout Street changed my life. Because of the "job" I was assigned while I was in the program as the Medical Clerk (during COVID too! It was wild!), I had the necessary experience that I needed to apply for and gain access to a job in the addiction treatment field, where I still work to this day. Must more importantly, Stout was the TIME OUT I needed from life. It is a truly precious thing to have a year and a half to work on yourself. No bullshit. To not stress about bills, bad relationships and people from your time in active addiction, and to just SHUT OFF THE NOISE - is a GIFT. I am so grateful that I went here because it was the beginning of a beautiful life that I am now really creating, day by day. Had I not gone to Stout Street, I would be dead or likely in ANOTHER crappy codependent relationship. I can proudly say that I've been single since I went in, and five years later my life is looking more promising and feeling more stable and fulfilling than I ever thought would be possible. I always thought I would die before 30. That was my trajectory. Until Stout picked me up and shook me HARD with the reality of life, showed me that I CAN stand on my own two feet, and gave me ~H O P E~. If you're looking for a cushy rehab where you get loads of free time, someone to sign off on the lies you tell yourself to keep getting high or drunk, quick tips, and comfort in recovery... Look somewhere else. This place right here will wake you up and teach you how to be uncomfortable. I can't even tell you how many people bounced out after a month or so. It takes guts to work through this program. It's worth every tear, every WC, every write up, and every tough confrontation. I am only now (5 years in the future lol) really seeing and reaping the benefits of my time here. The more time that goes on, the more tools that I find myself using to navigate life. Tools that I gained from Stout Street. The classes that they offer during your time are life-changing. I still do Inner Child work to this day, and I will do it until the day I die because it is the only thing that has helped me heal certain parts of myself from abuse and self-loathing. In all transparancy, I did not graduate the program. I had a relapse in the sober living phase of the program and ended up going to another facility briefly to get back on track. But my drive, my THIRST for self awareness and self love - those came from Stout Street. I am now an HONEST person because of this place. Sometimes you have to break down in order to rebuild, and this is a place where you can do that safely. A few staff members had an incredible impact on me, and now we're coming full circle and I'm working alongside them to help others find their way into recovery at the outpatient clinic where I work. I can't say thank you enough, Stout Street. I also can't say I haven't talked a LOT of shit on this program.... Because it was HARD. But the gifts they offer are undeniable. I love seeing my "brothers and sisters" from Stout out here thriving. It is truly incredible and if you really want to change your life, you should go here. Trust the process. If I could do it, so can you.

Thornton, CO | Colorado’s Recovery-Oriented, Clinically Driven, Medication Assisted Recovery Program Colorado Medication Assisted Recovery (CMAR) is an outpatient recovery program, specializing in the treatment of opioid dependence, co-occurring addictions and mental health concerns as well. We integrate structured and comprehensive medical, clinical, and p | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Picking up the phone and trying to find help for the first time was daunting. I knew I needed to change my relationship with alcohol, but I didn’t know where to start. After making multiple calls, I came across CMAR (Colorado Medicated Assisted Recovery). The first person I spoke to on the phone made me feel welcome and helped me begin my recovery journey.
I started in August 2024 and was guided to IOP, which included three sessions a week. I’ll never forget the first time I walked in—I was welcomed right away. James Jackman was the group therapist that day and made me feel comfortable from day one. He would later become my personal therapist, and I owe a lot to him for helping me through my recovery.
I came in wanting to change my relationship with alcohol, but I ended up working through so much more—my anxiety, childhood trauma, and the reasons behind my substance use. I learned more about myself and grew as a person in ways I never imagined.
After graduating IOP in three months, I decided to continue in OP for another year. Through CMAR, I’ve built a strong sober community and made many close friends. If you’re looking for help, this place is truly amazing.

They also hav | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I highly recommend Aspen Ridge to anyone who needs help with recovery. I have been in recovery for years, and Aspen Ridge is my favorite facility out there. Unlike many others, Aspens Ridge does NOT force any specific modality on folks, such as AA or NA. Many other rehab facilities are 12 step-based, which I haven’t found to be helpful. Aspend Ridge helps folks find the program that works before for each individual, such as SMART recovery, Dharma Recovery, or 12 steps. The therapists and instructors at Aspen Ridge are also all tremendously helpful and motivated. Highly recommended to anyone in need!

This center is unlike any other. From day one, I felt genuinely cared for on every level — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. The staff took time to understand me as a whole person, not just my symptoms, and the environment is warm, intimate, and deeply supportive.
Every part of my treatment felt thoughtfully designed around me, and that made all the difference. I left feeling grounded, empowered, and truly seen. If you’re looking for care that goes beyond the surface, this is the place.

Castle Rock, CO | An important part of the healing journey out of addiction can be finding new ways to experience joy and fulfillment in your life so your sobriety doesn’t leave a hole that you used to fill with drugs and alcohol. That’s the benefit of Banyan Castle Rock in Castle Rock, Colorado. An essential part of the recovery journey is discovering new ways | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Let me just say this first. The therapists and clinicians were wonderful and were continually trying to make things better for us at this facility. However, my experience started out rough. The person doing admissions over the phone didn’t tell me that I needed all of my own medicine. I don’t live close, and was unable to have it brought to me. I was yelled at by several different nurses, who told me over and over that I should have brought them. I’m diabetic and the meds I needed were life and death. I didn’t get anything until the third day.
The food was really quite gross. The day I started there, the chef quit. They mostly fed us fast food from a variety of restaurants, until they hired a cooking staff again. If you are diabetic or are on any kind of special diet DONT GO HERE! They will not accommodate you. All of the snacks are full of sugar and carbs. They need to remove the content from their brochures where it says they have a gourmet chef. THEY DO NOT!
Here’s a shoutout to everyone I can remember that was awesome! Tara, Graciela, Shelby, Benji, Cass, Dane, the yoga lady, Amaya, Julia, Alexis, both Chris’, Kendall, Megan, Will and the housekeeping staff. For the most part, I had a good experience. We went to the library, the gym and went on walks. THE ART WAS GREAT! It really helped keep my mind off of things.
There were real problems with staffing nurses and BHT’s.
