About Journey House Foundation
Journey House Foundation offers outpatient addiction treatment and recovery services, as well as recovery residences.
The organization is in Richmond, Virginia, near the University of Richmond Campus. The recovery residences offer sober living for men and focus on long term care.
The organization also has intensive outpatient (IOP) and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs to address substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health issues. They accept insurance from many different providers, including Medicaid and VA Community Care.
Registered Peer Recovery Support
Although registered peer recovery support personnel are not clinicians, they can play a major role in addiction recovery.
They complement clinical and professional services and act as motivators, advocates, mentors and role models. Their services are often critical in helping individuals sustain wellness and recovery.
Positive and Impactful Community
Many clients have expressed their gratitude for the organization. One client said, “I owe so much gratitude for the organization that has literally helped save my life.” Others have mentioned being amazed at how much they were able to accomplish in a short amount of time.

Levels of Care
A sober living home in Vermont offers a balance between monitored structure and living in mainstream society. No alcohol or drugs are allowed on the premises, and residents must participate in 12-step meetings. Residents of the halfway house also agree to submit to random drug screenings, pay rent, and participate in household activities such as meetings, meals, and chores.
