About Keystone Counseling

The outpatient progam offers both group and individual therapy. The amount of therapy you will need will be determined by an assessment session in which you will be asked many questions about your use of substances. You will also be given a drug test. Most therapy sessions will last an hour to an hour and a half. They offer gender and age specific group sessions as people often feel more comfortable sharing their experiences with people from a background similar to their own.

Therapy at this facility uses the 12 step model as a base. However, they follow their own Keystone Model to treat their clients. The model they used is based on spirituality. Once treatment is done, they offer aftercare services. This may include references to mental health professionals and sober living facilities. It may also include references to community 12 step meetings.

Where do I even begin? When I called during Covid after going through a horrible breakup Diane answered the phone asked me what was going on and told me she had a specialist who could help me. Her energy from the moment she answered was warm and I remember telling her “you’re not getting off that easy, I want you to help me.” She made me a deal and said we could start and if it didn’t work out then I would see her peer. We talked once a week for months about everything from my relationship with my parents to romantic relationships and she really helped me heal my inner child. I looked at this time with her as an investment in myself and being able to break my families generational cycles of behavior for my future kids. She was always sweet, respectful, on time, and on point with what she told me. I did every homework assignment she gave me starting with a dream board and within 24 months it all came true. Met the love of my life, started a family, and have been able to help make a positive impact on my partners children from a prior relationship. I can’t thank you enough for empowering me to realize my full potential, step forward with full confidence, and most importantly never look back at the trauma with a bad taste in my mouth. Everything from then until now has been used as development and I have a beautiful happy baby that knows what it means to be loved. Thank you for all that you do for others, you are making the world a better place one patient at a time. Much love!

Diana has been amazing from day 1 when I called crying thinking my boys were gonna kill each other. She had me come in within the hour because she was worried about me. She helped me see things were okay and calmed me down. I later came in contact with her by accident through texts about 6 years later and I passed her info on to a friend and a few weeks later I needed her myself. She's been a blessing helping me with many issues in my life. She's always available and gives great homework to get you thinking and growing. It's only been a few months and the growth is amazing. I'm looking forward to more self work to improve myself more in 2025!

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life can be tough sometimes—a balancing act at best. When you add in family problems, kids, money, health issues, and marriage, it can feel overwhelming. Don’t get me wrong, life is grand! But I was drowning. Then Diana came into my life. She has a no-nonsense approach to getting to the root of problems and provides the tools to help navigate appropriate solutions. Thanks to Diana’s guidance and our commitment to making it work, we just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary. I am immensely grateful for her support and highly recommend her to anyone seeking clarity and direction in their life.

I’m coming here to say counseling with Mrs Diana is top shelf. I’ve been going through a lot and looked for help. I’ve struggled for years to find a therapist. I even tried betterhelp but a friend came to me and referred her services. After one month we resonated with each other and she knew exactly how to deep dive in my issues to figure out where I really needed the help. She has devotion to all of her clients and absolutely good at it.

Diana has been a true blessing in my life. She is so genuine, easy to talk to and so empathetic. She has gone above and beyond to make herself available when I need to speak with her. I can't tell you how much I appreciate her and all she has done for me. Diana has helped me change my life, and for that, I am forever grateful.

What can I say about Diana at Keystone Counseling? She is more than just an addiction counselor, she is a great listener, a person that you can trust with anything and everything and I do mean everything, a person you can laugh and cry with in whatever you are going through, a friend that is always ready to help, she is a follower of Jesus, and I highly recommend her services. She has helped me tremendously in my life. Don’t wait another day to call her because that will be one more day of suffering in your addictions and pains.

I had some good and some poor experiences with Diana. I honestly believe she should not get involved in marriages. She is a addiction counselor. Not a marriage counselor. Don’t let her meddle in your marriage. But when it came to addiction counseling. She was ok. That’s why I gave her 2 stars.
