Westcare is working great for me! A big part of that reason is from my counselor Abrina! She makes me feel that there are people out there that actually want to help me. I know I can talk to her about anything that I’m struggling with and it’s certain she will always have the right answer! Big kudos to Abrina for carrying the whole program on her back!!!

Where do i even begin. I will not return to this place EVER. And i will let my friends know how terrible this facility is. Avoid going or sending people here if you want them to get better. All they worry is your money. Food is terrible too. They also misplaced my lougage. I was lectured by administrator accompanied by therapist Mike- both are very rude. I was on 200 unit and they had bed bugs. Scary

I wanted to share my personal experience with New Beginnings of Tampa — especially with Miss Ginny, who truly helped me during one of the hardest chapters of my life. I’ve taken a few days to reflect on how to write this review in a way that’s fair and honest. My story began when my father became terminally ill overseas. As a medical assistant and certified phlebotomist working at Tampa General Hospital/USFTGP, I made the difficult decision to resign from my job and return home to care for him during his final months. It was one of the most emotional and challenging periods of my life. I gave up my job, apartment, car, and even had to rehome my beloved dog, Peanut. After my father passed away, I was devastated but determined to return to the U.S. and rebuild my life from scratch. Coming back was far from easy. I had no housing, no car, and no income proof while waiting to start my new position at the hospital. Many housing programs required pay stubs, and shelters were full or unresponsive. That’s when I found New Beginnings of Tampa and spoke with Miss Ginny, who kindly offered me a shared room for $750 a month, including utilities and Wi-Fi. From the moment I met her, Miss Ginny’s warmth stood out — she reminded me of Dolly Parton: gracious, caring, and full of heart. She clearly explained the house rules, including curfew hours (9 PM–5 AM) and program expectations. At first, I misunderstood the structure and thought it was simply shared housing, so I accidentally broke curfew once due to a work-related reason. When I was told I could face eviction, I was terrified. But after explaining my situation and providing proof from my job, Miss Ginny gave me a second chance — something I’ll always be grateful for. During my stay, I worked 12-hour shifts, saved money, bought a car, and eventually moved into my own apartment. The program gave me stability, shelter, and structure when I needed it most. I also appreciated the safe environment — it’s a no-drug, no-alcohol facility with regular testing, which helps maintain peace in the home. Each resident has a fridge shelf, laundry access, and a full kitchen to cook meals. There’s a nice backyard patio where residents can relax, socialize, and enjoy visits from local wildlife — including peacocks, raccoons, and a friendly outdoor cat named Max. One important note is that attending church services three times a week is mandatory unless you’re working. Coming from a different faith background, I was initially hesitant, but I found the church community welcoming and respectful. Still, I’d like to kindly suggest that the program consider making church attendance required only once a week — this would give residents more flexibility to rest, work, or focus on personal goals. I also believe that asking residents, many of whom are financially struggling, to donate during services could be reconsidered with compassion, as every dollar counts for people trying to rebuild their lives. As for the housing itself, I do think there’s room for improvement. The property could use some maintenance and better organization, as space is very limited and shared bathrooms can get crowded. It’s also important for residents to keep their belongings secured, as items can occasionally go missing. Considering these conditions, lowering the rent slightly would make the program more accessible and fair. Despite these challenges, I’m deeply thankful for Miss Ginny and New Beginnings of Tampa. Her kindness, patience, and understanding made a tremendous difference in my life. Without her support and this program, I truly don’t know where I would be today. With gratitude, Amanda F.

New beginnings is a awesome place to start a new beginning in your life and so many people need a new beginning at some point in life.when I was living at new beginnings it was exactly what I needed because I needed help and they exceeded my expectations,they food is awesome and u will gain weight and management is awesome and will really help ANYONE.James,Curtis and Rodney are awesome management people the facility is clean and has a good atmosphere. I had a great experience with Dr Weaver at this facility. Communication is always on point and I definitely feels extremely comfortable with interesting my care to this facility and doctor. Evelyn was also very welcoming. She's very thorough. Much appreciated.

I have had such a wonderful experience with Baycare! But I have to give a great amount of gratitude to Evelyn whom works for Dr. Jackson. She is always going above and beyond to take care of our needs. She's always there to answer the phone and help me with any questions or whatever I may need and if I ever leave message she immediately calls me back or takes care of the matter! She is such an asset to the Baycare team! Thank you for everything!!!

Thank you to Francis and Evelyn. My grandson needed to transition from the Countryside office to the Tampa office which I was dreading. Francis and Evelyn took extra care to make it easy. Very kind, understanding and know how important their jobs are so he does not miss any medication. Thanks very much. Both ladies need a raise.

Crowded at times but really nice staff

Baycare is the best at what they do. They always treat the children as their top priority and the families as well. I've been coming here for 5 years and I can't say enough of good things about these people.

Excellent treatment program, I would recommend Healthcare Connection over any other place. Most rehabs have pools, spas, and luxuries that actually harm your treatment progress. This is definitely the place you want to go if you want to succeed. My favorite part is that the staff understand what you are going through because most of them have been through the same process.

As a man, I was never really convinced of the importance and use of therapy but as it turned out, I was completely wrong! We were engaged with Walt, with respect to my 13-year-old son, who had been targeted and groomed over the internet. This was a horrible time of our lives. To a degree, my son did not understand the seriousness of the situation or decree anything wrong with the actions of the unnamed person, who had impacted his childhood in such a negative way. Walt provided my son and myself with discussion, understanding and importantly, tools we could use at home to effectively unlock my child's thoughts/feelings with the view to changing his understanding (realizing the gravity of the situation). Further to the months we attended therapy, we were able to see a marked improvement in my son. This inevitably led to him returning to the happy child he was before the incident. We can't thank Walt enough. He's a good man, he understands, and is able to appeal to children and have them, as well as their parents, work on things which change/ improve these horrible situations. this recovery center has helped my moms sobriety so much! All staff members have been nothing but a helpful resource for my mom. i feel so comfortable knowing she’s there and has everything she needs. eric has been amazing! as well as therapist provided through miracles!

I came to The Wave not really sure what to expect, just hoping for some peace. It honestly turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made. The staff actually care. Like genuinely care, not just doing their jobs because they have to.The groups helped me a lot and I loved spending time in the art room and the gym. The food was decent and they even work with people who have different diets which is nice to see. It’s not perfect but it feels real and safe.

Lindsay Harrison is a warm, compassionate therapist. My husband and I were in family therapy with her. She gave us tools to handle stress and made a significant, positive impact on our lives. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for help with family issues.

My experience with All in Solution was life changing. I went through detox and residential to prepare me for on going therapy. I had great nurses techs and patient support through tough days and such support for the family atmosphere I experienced. I am grateful for everyone that helped me there and would recommend to anyone that wants to get sober and learn how to stay sober through their program
