About New Vision – Bayfront Health
New Visions was a detox center for people who struggled with all different types of drugs. When you first came in, you would be given a full physical and mental assessment to determine if you actually needed an assisted withdrawal. Most people were there for 72 hours. They were able to provide medically assisted treatment if a person was in a lot of pain during their detox. You were kept informed of everything being done with your treatment each step of the way.
People often find it difficult to quit substances because they think they will be in too much pain to do normal activities. Therefore it is important to have a clean safe place to focus entirely on detox. Once you were stabilized, the staff would help you find the next step in your treatment. This might include going to longer inpatient treatment or intensive outpatient care.

Levels of Care
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
