About Monte Nido Miami Residential Treatment

Monte Nido (formerly known as Oliver-Pyatt Centers) is a residential eating disorder treatment facility for women. They are located in Miami, Florida where they offer a secure and supportive home-like setting to treat eating disorders and co-occurring conditions including co occurring drug or alcohol addiction. They work with all female identifying clients.

Monte Nido is in network with most major commercial insurance companies. They’ll coordinate with out of network providers and folks who are uninsured.

They have a 3.9 star rating with 14 reviews. High reviews praise the staff, the facilities and the program. There are only two low ratings and they complain about bad treatment from staff and unhealthy food choices.

Residential ED Treatment for Women in South Florida

Their residential treatment program works to help you recover your physical and nutritional wellness. During your stay, you’ll learn healthy eating and exercise habits.

Residents get 24 hour clinical and support staff access and supervision. You’ll also get medical, psychiatric and nutritional care and weekly health assessments to monitor your progress.

Specific features I appreciate are meal support and body image education. I also like that they are weight and size inclusive and their furniture is accommodating for all sizes.

This center also has a high staff to client ratio.

Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorder Care in Miami

Many clients with eating disorders also deal with depression, PTSD, OCD, self-harm and substance use disorders. These often exacerbate symptoms and make treatment more complicated, and if you treat only the eating disorder, the other conditions will make you more likely to relapse if they aren’t treated too.

That’s why here they focus on integrating treatment to improve your mental, spiritual and physical health. Treating all disorders will give you the highest chance of long-term recovery.

I like that they work with you to create thorough aftercare plans to support you once you are ready to leave.

The food was unhealthy. Fruity pebbles, croissants, pizza every week that was mandatory. Therapists are awful. And clients fighting all the time. Behaviors everywhere. Worst place I ever went and I’ve been everywhere.

Monte Nido Miami saved my life. The staff there are absolutely amazing and my therapist was awesome and so good at her job. The groups were vital to my recovery and I learned so much from them. I enjoyed my time here and truly feel like they helped me with my recovery. I came just in time health wise and they got me back to health, this place is amazing and I will forever recommend it. My experience was by far one of the most interesting and amazing times of my life, of course treatment is not a vacation but with the outings and how kind the staff are it truly made it something positive instead of negative.

It is vital to get the best care for your loved one who is suffering from an eating disorder. Eating disorders can destroy not only the person suffering, but entire families. This facility is not the place. Do not waste your time with Monte Nido Miami. I’ve had 2 experiences with them now and both times the results left us starting over again. If I listed the reasons in detail it would be too long for a review. The most important thing is to get your loved one help and Monte Nido only provides false hope and excuses as to why they failed. It is not a program that focuses on each individual. They are cold, uncaring and treat their patients like cattle. It’s a get them through and get the next one place. Monte Nido Miami will only add to your suffering and make you feel like your family doesn’t matter. Please go elsewhere if you want real help!

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
