This will be a mix o | Treatments Payment Options | I was on a cruise holiday in Alaska and had taken a short excursion at Sitka where I unfortunately slipped while walking and broke my ankle bones very badly. This happened on May 7th 2025. I was immediately moved to your hospital and thereafter for the next 24 to 28 hours or so I was under the care and attention of your hospital personnel. These ppl included a team of surgeons, anaesthetist, radiologist, nurses, physiotherapist, administrative staff, security personnel and the entire ER unit. At every interaction with them my wife and I got tremendous cooperation and warm reassurance apart from the apt and responsive medical care.

I had to visit this hospital under very unfortunate and sad circumstances, but the staff were lovely and they did everything they could to care for my grandpa and keep him comfortable in his time of need. I have never been to a hospital with such caring and kind staff. They made it so my grandpa could pass in peace. Thank you.

| Bartlett Regional Hospital, in Juneau, Alaska, offers comprehensive mental and behavioral health care for adults, including specialized programming for young adults, seniors, and persons with co-occurring disorders. Their services include crisis intervention and patient stabilization, medically supervised detox, and inpatient and aftercare programs | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Updated 2025.06.25 ER is good to have available when needed. Upon entering the hospital emergency department, we passed by their 24 hour cafeteria which requires a card key access. Breakfast is 0730-0900, lunch is 1100-1400, dinner is 1700-1800 for their hot food station service. We tasted their chicken curry, it was mildly spicy, the chicken was moist, not overcooked nor dry. It was very pleasant food as is their atmosphere.
Updated 2022 Bartlett Regional Hospital is really excellent for what it does offer in services with it's small budget. I wish it would a bigger budget to be able to offer more instead of sending patients off for services it cannot offer. What they are able to offer are a team of professional, hard working, top notch doctors, RN's, CNA's and support staff to keep this place going. Sometimes, the staff are stretched thin, services take longer.
The pain management agenda is part regimen, and part guessing for the patient. Pain relief is dispensed, some time passes to the medication to take affect, then a body adjustments. That's where unknown pain could reared its ugly side. Now I'm in a higher level pain, but now I must wait for the next time for the next dose of pain relief. I've gone through a few nights holding on for hours in pain in anticipation of the pain relief dose, it's very a stressful experience.
However, the dining facility continues to overcooked their sources of protein, i.e. chicken, eggs, beef, fish that I would tend to leave that on the plate, preferring to have my protein moist, tender, not hard, dry. The kitchen really needs to do a better quality for taste at smaller portions, not overcooking protein. Food is too bland without a little salt and pepper. It's such institutional food, it's pathetic.

I thanked Michael for his help and I'm very sorry to hear he was fired. He was a blessing.
I started going again a little over a year ago now but now it seems the staff have to cancel alot due to illness or just being on vacation or late for morning appointments. Makes it hard for me because I have to tell my boss my appointment was cancelled and rescheduled so we have to find coverage for my work schedule. Other than that when they are available they are helpful.
Another example is my grant will be delayed 2 months because coordinator will be away, on vacation?

They're a very nice organization. But they can be pretty strict, yet nice, very patient, but fair. If you have mental health issues, and you need to place a loved one, or yourself into a place where they will help you, then this is the place to go.☺😊😄
