I am truly grateful for Springhill Recovery. Immediately I was made to feel at ease, safe & secure. I quickly realized that I was in competent, caring hands with all of the staff that I met. I learned so much about myself here! I can see where I need to work on a few things and I now have some of the tools to do that, thanks to the amazing groups, clinicians, RS staff & case managers at Springhill. I leave here confident in my sobriety & excited to continue my recovery program. I will seek connections with other people who are also in recovery because I’ve learned that absolutely nobody can do this alone! Thank you Springhill Recovery for teaching me how to like myself again! I am forever grateful for the gift & privilege of my new life ahead of me.

The Washburn House program from the ATS (Detox) to the CSS program was incredible. I honestly will not be able to put into words how much this Program helped me so much in many different ways. The food, I did not have a bad meal in the 28 days I spent there. The camaraderie between most of the gentlemen and some women was amazing. Also, the staff. I could write a book on how helpful, thoughtful, caring, supportive, and genuinely there to help the clients in any way they could. So I wanted to share the first names of the staff members that made an impact on me. In no particular order: Jess, Kara, Cheryl, John, Cesar, David, Nick, Andramada, Chris, Matt, Ryan, June, Ronnie, Mark, Dave, Angel, Kristal, J, Peter, Mike, Lucia, Ronnell, Nicole. I just graduated there on 9/1/2026. I really hope someday I could possibly do a commitment, or anything to give back to this community of great people. Thank you so much! DD

Place saved my life the staff is the best more than helpful they gave a real shot to actually change my life around in every aspect the people who run it are the best also the genuinely care and go above and beyond and that goes for everything you can truly get the help you need at any surface wether it’s step work, mental health , or addiction before this I shouldn’t of been alive about 100 times over again and I’m not even just saying it either it’s the truth people that work there personally know me from before and seen my struggles for a long time if this place saved my life I feel like if anyone puts the work in and takes advantage of they can to I thought I was part of the hopeless variety things are different now I been to more than 50 facilities … again not something I’m proud of but if you want to change your life paramount is it I’ll be forever grateful for everyone there they went above and beyond 🙏

Its hard to put into words how much Paramount changed my life. Ive been in a few treatment facilities over the years but this one has a different feel to it. From day one I felt like I was in the right place because the staff made it a point to welcome me and made me feel comfortable. I found all the groups very beneficial and the focus of mental illness and addiction made a huge impact on me. After completion of treatment I know I'm on the right path. Its going to be a life long journey but Paramount gave me the tools I need to succeed. Much love and gratitude to all the Staff at paramount. I plan on keeping in Paramount in my life!

I really can't say enough about Paramount, I just finished my treatment there, and I have tremendous gratitude for all of the staff for being a part of my recovery journey. I was overwhelmed that first day right after detox with all that happened with initially getting clean, but the staff is obviously well practiced at putting their new clients at ease. Loved the groups and their curriculum, it's clear they continually evaluate what works well and they listen to feedback. I felt like I was extremely well matched to my therapist and I made a lot of headway into having insight to my addiction and issues surrounding my relapses. I feel very well equipped after finishing the program to continue with my recovery and get my life back

Place has amazing people here and is run very well. Still has room to improve for 1 on 1 counseling. Most counseling is done in a group so your personal endeavors and info is aired out most of the time. However this place will proved a place to heal and detox extremely comfortably if needed. Bed pillows are plastic covered so bring a pillow and blanket to be more at home.

This place saved my life! Everyone was so nice and understanding. I highly recommend them for detox and those interested in recovery. 5 years sober update.. I saw that I had written a review and thought it would might be helpful to give an updated recommendation. It’s been close to 5 1:2 years since I left Swift River the last time.. my life has completely changed! I’m working in the recovery field working on my counseling credentials, buying a second home! Going on a summer vacations and lost over 100lbs!! .Just a few things that would never have come if I hadn’t decided to make a change and call Swift River. I spent years in and out of treatment.. never give up!!!

Aftermath has been so much more than a rehabilitation and recovery center to me. The staff and the program have helped me find my way back to my true self through their compassion, support, and unconditional acceptance. To the entire Aftermath team—thank you for the guidance, wisdom, encouragement, and genuine care you’ve poured into both my recovery and my personal growth. Thank you for believing in me and investing in me the way you have, even during times when I struggled to believe in myself. I will always be grateful for everything I’ve learned here, and I hope to carry those lessons with me and apply them to my everyday life. Thank you for helping me build a stronger foundation for the future. Not just mine, but my kids and anyone I may cross paths with who I may be able to pass on what I’ve learned here. Much love, support, and lots of laughs is found within this center. Thank you for making me feel like family!! 💜💪🏽

Despite RCA’s shortcomings, they kickstarted my sobriety and were a great first step in my recovery. If you’re in good health and don’t need special accommodations, then this place is what you make of it. The admission process and acceptance to their facility was really quick, so my advice is to prepare as much as possible. Bring your own SEALED OTC medicine and SEALED hygiene and cosmetic products. You’ll meet with a doctor on the 2nd or 3rd day and can ask him to put these medicines in your patient med chart so that the nurses can disperse them to you. Try not to get hurt. You won’t get to go to a hospital unless you’re suicidal or OD’ing. My toe fracture can attest. But with that being said, I’m still grateful for the time I spent here and for the counselors that were once in our shoes and are now recovered, they are great. Medical team and their procedures and protocols could use a revamping.

I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I’d be lucky to make it back to this place… meaning that I’d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how “horrible and defiant” I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying “one of you is going down a dark road” really? These are the people to trust? These are the people “getting me better.” Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious. So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them. I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I’m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I’d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won’t name you but I know that you know who you are. Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don’t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I’d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn’t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It’s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down. That’s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder. Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can’t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don’t live close by anymore but I’d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated with genuine kindness and respect. What really sets this recovery center apart is the staff. They don’t make you feel like just another client. They make you feel like you’re one of their friends. Every conversation felt real, and it was obvious they truly cared about my well-being, both inside and outside of treatment. The staff created an environment where I felt comfortable opening up without fear of being judged. They were always there to listen, offer encouragement, and celebrate every step of progress, no matter how small. Their compassion, patience, and sense of humor made some of the hardest days much easier to get through. Recovery has never been easy, but having people who genuinely believe in you makes all the difference. The friendships and support I found here gave me hope when I needed it most. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like a person—not just a patient I can’t recommend this recovery center enough. The staff go above and beyond every single day, and I’m incredibly grateful for everything they did for me. I will never take my time here for granted.

i want to share that...first my name is Jean Newton on a borrowed computer. I have learned so much with Lisa A. It has me looking things up online to further enhance my knowledge. I have been in IOP since May 25th and have abstained from use of anything mind altering. Mostly for selfish reasons...I want to stay healthy and I want to be able to take care of my 91 yr old mom with a clear mind and good body strength and stamina. Thank you Lisa and Ad Care. I look forward to learning more and to your guidance through this program.

Recovery is a journey, and Richie brought a different approach by personalizing the experience and sharing his own perspective. Having people like Richie, Savini, Matty, Brit,Shay, and all the other clinicians in your corner creates a connection that truly makes a difference. Everything here is focused on recovery, growth, accountability, and helping people move forward. I’m grateful for the support, compassion, and genuine care I’ve experienced at Rockland Recovery. It has truly been an important part of my journey. Thank you All very much Samuel Bell

Rockland Recovery has been an incredibly positive part of my recovery. That is why I chose to come back after leaving last time. The staff genuinely care about the people here, and that shows in everything from the clinical work to the groups and everyday interactions. The clinicians and group facilitators are knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to meet people where they are. Ritchie Evans, Eddie Payne, Henry, and Mattie are all great. The person I have connected with most is Ritchie. He is a solid dude with a great deal of lived experience, and he always offers something thoughtful and insightful. We share common bonds through addiction and combat service, so he understands parts of my experience that can be difficult to explain to someone who has not lived them. One thing Ritchie said will forever change how I see recovery. He encouraged me not to think of people with addiction as simply being burdened with addiction, but as people who may have been chosen to serve a mission from God by using what we have survived to help others. That gave purpose to experiences I had previously viewed only as pain. Rockland is fortunate to have Ritchie and the rest of this staff. This is a place filled with people who understand recovery, believe in the people they serve, and offer real hope.

Came to Dr. Lee for a nexus letter for my BCMR appeal. He asked the right questions, gave straight answers, and told me honestly that my case needed a forensic psychiatrist not just a nexus letter. He could've taken my money; instead he steered me right. Worth every penny of the $500 consult. Highly recommended.

I need this to be seen because this program has changed my life, and Im sharing the knowledge and structure that I was given there with my best friend, because I know it works, and I refuse to let him give up. My Father passed when I was 15, just 2 days before Christmas. The holidays are tough, thats just a fact. So this past December I went on an exceptionally dangerous bender, and didnt stop until New Years Eve when I finally had the thought of "Alright, maybe I should chill out, start fresh, new-year-new-me blah blah blah". On January 2nd, I experienced my first ever hallucination due to withdrawals. The electronics in my home came to life, they were communicating with me, and they were NOT singing happy songs or telling funny jokes. As long as I live I will always remember: "Matt, you're 39 years old and you've dedicated your life to drinking. You can either join us, or if you tell anyone about this they WILL NOT believe you, and we WILL kill you". I ran to my neighbors house, told her I thought someone was playing a high-tech prank on me, and she called the police. They came and brought me to Noble where I stayed 4 days before being transferred to Baystate, all told I spent 2 weeks in the hospital. My case worker suggested an out patient program, and then came New Growth. The structure of having somewhere to be every day, the knowledge and compassion and resources and encouragement from the staff, the overwhelming positivity and healing that began with support from total strangers, with one thing in common: lets take back our lives before they are taken from us because life is worth it. We're worth it. I dont know if I just got super lucky and hit the absolute jackpot, or the stars lined up just right and my particular situation unfolded exactly the way it had to, or whatever it was. But I can honestly and truly say that New Growth has provided the only foundation thats been strong enough for me to start building the life and the future I imagine for myself, and thats exactly what a recovery center is supposed to do. They'll give you all the tools you need, you just have to be ready and willing to build something beautiful. New Growth takes care of the rest...(plus pizza on Fridays 😂) This place works. Im telling you please take the chance, you have my word you will be so happy you did 🙏

I’m two and a half years clean thanks to this place. To keep it short, I left detox and went to another facility that was extremely strict about AA and pushed it in a way that didn’t work for me. When I expressed that, it became an issue, so I chose to leave.. leaving was difficulty the other facility made me walk miles and miles before allowing myself a cell phone and left my stranded in the middle of nowhere. I got the courage after leaving to find another facility and CHOOSE NOT TO GO BACK TO THE LIFESTYLE I ONCE HAD. Finding Mayflower made all the difference. I appreciated that they allowed a more balanced, normal routine outside of meetings—you could relax, watch TV, do crafts, play basketball, and still focus on recovery. They also offered a different approach to sobriety that felt more supportive and personalized. What really stood out was the medical staff—they were always there when I needed them and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. This was my first time getting sober, and I’ve stayed sober ever since because of this place.. great food as well. I’m so thankful for this place because without them I don’t know where I would be today. If one place isn’t a fit for you in recovery please find the next place and do not give up!

Woburn Wellness has truly changed my life. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated with compassion, respect, and understanding. Woburn Wellness has played an instrumental role in my recovery journey, and I cannot speak highly enough about the care and support I received throughout my time there. From my very first interaction, the entire team demonstrated genuine compassion and professionalism. Jeff and Juan in Admissions made what could have been an overwhelming process feel manageable, providing guidance and encouragement from the very beginning. Jasmine took the time to understand my individual circumstances and developed a treatment plan tailored specifically to my needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. During my time in the PHP program, I had the privilege of working with Lara, an exceptional clinician whose knowledge, compassion, and dedication had a profound impact on my recovery. The program itself is engaging, interactive, and thoughtfully designed. Rather than simply presenting information, the staff fosters meaningful discussions and provides practical tools and coping strategies that can be applied in everyday life. I am also grateful for the outstanding support provided by the entire team, including Zhenya, Noah, Kayla, Macy, Julia, Cecilia, Tony, Thespina, and Annemarie. Every staff member contributed to creating a welcoming, supportive, and recovery-focused environment. A special thank you to Caroline for organizing the outstanding Super Saturdays. These events quickly became one of the highlights of my week. The combination of Reiki sessions provided by Lighthouse Holistic Healing and peaceful nature walks and hikes offered an invaluable opportunity to recharge both mentally and physically while reinforcing the importance of self-care in recovery. What truly distinguishes Woburn Wellness is its commitment to treating each individual as a unique person with unique needs. The personalized care, knowledgeable staff, and genuine investment in each client’s success create an environment where lasting recovery is possible. I wholeheartedly recommend Woburn Wellness to anyone seeking treatment for substance use or mental health challenges. Thanks to the unwavering support, guidance, and dedication of the entire team, I am proud to say that I am sober today. I will always be grateful for the role Woburn Wellness has played in helping me build a healthier and more fulfilling future.

When I decided that 48 years was enough of living in a bottle and a spoon, I began to research what exactly I needed to do to get to a stage where I could put my life on hold, hire enough of the right people to handle my affairs while I was away. After accomplishing that, I boarded a plane to Boston 04-19-26 and arrived at Hillside detox and recovery program safely where I was treated like royalty. After 30 days, they convinced me to further my experience, knowledge, and skills for a successful life of soberiety by going to Woburn Wellness. Honestly, it is one of the best decisions I've ever made. At Woburn, I attended the daily groups. At first I didn't understand how the groups could possibly help me go home to a wife that drinks, and remain sober. But the longer I not only attended, but actively participate in the program, the stronger I felt about my soberiety. I was also blessed to stay at the Sober House in Stoneham. The accommodations at these 2 blessings were nothing like the 10 star treatment I got used to at Hillside. But they were perfect for this stage in my journey because they were realistic for life in the real world. [ ] Jasmine was my go to for everything. She treated me like royalty. I'm not going to try and play favoritism with the staff at Woburn Wellness because they all are my favorites. I love and miss each of them. From Ray the Driver, for always getting me to put on my positive attitude, every morning, to Violet who made sure my meds were filled, to Jaun, my Rockstar, Sean, the Big dog who was also full of wisdom (and a little bit of bs.🤣). My Southern Belle, Laura, who is my Clinician, (she is vital to my soberiety by keeping me thinking, and giving me ideas, even now that I'm home). Caroline who always is high on happy pills, and we have a bonded agreement that we shook on, and It's something that I take very serious, and very rarely offer it, is special in her own ways. Noah is a beast, but a gentle giant that best not get anymore bad haircuts. Zhenya is the sweetest lady until you merge into a subject she doesn't approve of. But even her reprimands are done gently yet stern. I could go on praising the staff but I would be remiss if I don't talk about the group. Obviously I can't mention names or discussions we had. But I consider each one of them extremely lucky to be part of Woburn, especially myself. The staff and group members will always hold a very special place in my heart. [ ] Should I relapse, it would be solely for the purpose of going back to Hillside, then Woburn and the sober house, to spend time with my extended family. God bless each member of staff, the group members, everyone at Hillside and everyone at Stoneham Sober house. If you're serious about getting Clean and sober, then I strongly recommend you start at Hillside and then go to Woburn. You will leave a completely new person. I know I did. May Christ Jesus support you in you Soberiety and bless you with this program

Bedrock was truly a great experience to gain early recovery tools. Detox nursing were awesome. They always explained what medication was what and how it could/would affect me. Residential was as a great experience for me. Most techs actually have been through the program/recovery so they actually understand and care about you. The nursing up here was great as well. The nurse Linda loves all her clients like her own. The alumni coordinators are truly inspiring. Math was super helpful in my personal recovery! He runs great groups and won’t coddle you but offer tough love support and recommendations. Knowing he’s been through this for a lot of his life really made his stories speak out. I want to shout out Luna, Kourtney, Alisha, Christine, Crystal, Casey, Marcia, Josh, Jerry, and Ms. Dee for all the love and support as well as Cheryl, Lawrence, and Mirable my care team. Bedrock saved my life. The program works if you work it. And don’t be afraid to ask questions!!

I've been at Merrick Street for nearly a year, and my experince has been truly amazing. Spectrum staff members are caring, well-educated and passionate about helping each client on an individual basis. The level of care far exceeds that of other programs. I started my 'journey' at Sisters of Providence in Holyoke, and (apart from my clinician -- who was amazing!), it felt like conveyor-belt-style care. Now, that was a 2-hour round-trip commute every morning, but Information about Spectrum (20 minutes away) was hidden from me (despite my inquiries) for months because it was a separate organization and they likely didn't want to lose me as a paycheck -- I mean patient. Spectrum is the total opposite. It has changed my life. I wasted years fearing a program, and the stigma attached. But I realized-- since I was already dealing with the stigma of having fibromyalgia and chronic pain, it made no difference, and I needed to try -- for me. Since entering, I have met so many incredible people, shared and heard many incredible stories, and in a way, I am proud to be part of something so positive.

I came into this with anxiety afraid of change. I was welcomed like a family with support kindness laughs and felt very safe and comfortable. I chose to make the best and try something I'm afraid of. This experience is best of my life because of the staff like Christina wilcox. She really is a wonderful woman helpful to all of our needs equally . Respect is huge to me and that's what I received. I would stay longer and I do recommend this to anyone in recovery because you will grow as a person and learn to have fun in recovery. Thank you for giving me a new perspective of my life . The staff at the iop are wonderful all of them very humble fun and respectful. They make group fun and understand addiction. I enjoyed everyday I was here. With love Leslie Pisapia.

On Call provided the structure I needed after detox with classes during the weekdays and a residential house to live in just a few blocks away. The staff is caring and thoughtful, and I had a terrific therapist and case worker to help me find my next stop at a sober home.

Once again, we had to return to the emergency room because my husband is still sick. But from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff who are always professional, kind, compassionate, and willing to answer every question we have with care and respect. Thank you for relieving my husband’s pain yesterday. At this hospital, I always feel safe knowing that patients are cared for with love, dedication, and genuine concern. Thank you for everything. I give you all the stars in the universe. May God continue to bless you with strength, patience, and even greater wisdom in your professions so that you can keep caring for and healing those who are sick.
