The staff here is absolutely amazing. I can’t even make a single complaint. Dr Son is the best as well. He explains everything and you truly feel like he understands you. I can proudly say this, this place saved my life. If you or someone you know needs help getting off opiates do it right the first time and come here. You won’t be disappointed. I have had some issues that have come up, but they usually get resolved. My only main gripe is with some of the other clients at the community living house fail to clean up after themselves, and some do not know self control. But, the staff here is very professional and easy to talk to. I find that the opportunities here for my recovery journey are pretty good, although I'd like access to more holistic therapy resources. I didn't want to go to rehab. As a man I didn't want to admit I needed help. I was afraid. To lose my job, my family and my life. But I had to do something. The counselor over the phone was very reassuring and I came for a tour of the Santa Cruz location. I was glad to see people my own age (45) but most of the crowd was younger than me. However, they made me feel comfortable. It sort of felt like a summer camp, Lindsay the crossfit instructor was very helpful. I hate workign out but she gave me the right amount of healthy motivation and push. I work out on my own now and I feel so much better about myself. I learned so much from the counselors, especially Tim who was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I didn't want to go but I'm so glad I did. I have tears as i type this that Elevate really has changed my life. I still have to work for it, but I'm living proof that this program can work! Ted 7 years ago This place is not your ordinary rehab facility. They go beyond your standard rehabilitation and literally "Elevate" your life to a new level you didn't think was ever possible before. The program is structured in a way that you desire to learn more and give more into the healing process. If you take the necessary steps and put your heart into the program you will come out with a newfound appreciation for life and all that surrounds you. The Truth 2 months ago I think this is a wonderful rehab, the facilities are beautiful, the food is amazing (I have never even had food this good at a restaurant), and above all they have really helped my husband. Obviously anyone that first goes to rehab isn’t happy with their situation but in just two short months he was a changed person. The work they have them do on themselves got him to finally see why drugs and alcohol are no way of life. He’s finally sober and actually enjoying it! Colleen Rynders 6 days ago I am a previous alumni of the Avenues in Concord New Hampshire where I experienced long-term sobriety, multiple years after attendance. I am also a veteran of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Bosnia; as well as I was a drug and alcohol counselor for veterans because Avenues gave me the tools needed for living a life of recovery, and instilled the importance of giving back. After my last treatment, I took suggestions and was also a house manager in sober living and worked a 12 step program, sponsoring other men through the process. This past year, I experienced a relapse because I stopped working a program and took back my will. After several attempts of recovering on my own, I surrendered and called my best friend and patrol leader from my deployment, and I asked for help. He reached out to Avenues, and I was given a call late into the night by an admission coordinator. When I spoke to this man I was broken and afraid. He showed me empathy, asked the right questions, and told me he would do whatever he could to get me into treatment. I was picked up by a team member from Avenues, Lake Ariel within 24 hours. The man who picked me up stopped so I could pick up needed items, and he checked on me throughout the whole ride. Once at the facility, I was opened with open arms and felt humiliated, while they saw it as practicing humility and doing the next right thing. They were full of empathy and compassion, and I was immediately started on a detox protocol where the nurses and practitioner were knowledgeable with medication and met me where I was thinking; nothing was pushed or forced. The majority of staff has a working knowledge of a twelve step program and are in recovery. No one was there just for a paycheck. My counselor and every staff member was attentive to my needs and were also able to help every client smile and feel human during such a difficult time. This facility also had veterans on staff who were willing to share directly with me in my process. They helped to save my life by sharing their experience, strength, and hope. They do give out Big Books and help orient clients with the program through nightly commitments and their own personal experience, strength, and hope. I am grateful for my experience and the Avenues Program. I have been to multiple facilities, and in my opinion Avenues is second to none. I trust their program more than that of any Veterans Administration I have ever attended. I am excited to be transferring to the Avenues in Maryland to finish my process.
