About Trinity Group Homes
Located in the heart of Coeur d’Alene Idaho is Trinity Group Homes of North Idaho. They have been helping the community battle mental illness, drug abuse and temporary housing since 1979. Some of the other programs they offer at St. Vinnys include life skills training, medication and case management, transportation and recreational activities just to name a few.
Mental Health Services
This facility offers top of the line treatments for mental health with a high focus on life skills development and long-term residential support. This is extremely important for patients that would like less restrictive facilities such as hospitals and crisis centers.
Because of this program, you can focus on your treatment and transition into semi-independent living. The staff can help with resources on health care, job training and financial help.
They can also teach you some basic everyday skills such as food preparation, budgeting and social skills.
Medical Related Services
Even though this facility focuses on mental health, recovery and housing, they also coordinate with local health care providers to offer many medical services.
Health and wellness education programs can help with accessing preventative care, managing chronic illnesses and working on your own personal physical health.
You can expect some physicals, screenings and blood work so the staff can create scheduled plan for your pre and post recovery. If you are unable to get to a local clinic or hospital for your screenings they do offer transportation to and from the facility.
Social and Recreational Activities
A huge part of recovery is being around a community that understands what you’re going through. To create this environment they have many group activities to reduce social isolation and improve overall well-being.
These group activities include Hiking at Tubbs Hill, walks along Lake Coeur d’Alene, trips to local farmers market and holiday events in downtown.
If you ever have family come visit, Silverwood Theme Park is about a 20 min drive from the facility and is the largest theme park in the Pacific Northwest.
Addiction Treatments
Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Idaho provides treatment for addiction to drugs. It usually includes a combination of treatment methods that can involve counseling, medication, and a variety of evidence-based therapies. Programs are designed to help individuals manage their substance use disorder long-term.
A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.
Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Clinical Services
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
